Went here on our last day in Hawaii. We had a few hours to kill before our flight and played in the arcade and watched the old people play tournaments in the bowling alley. Those people are soo cute! Had a good time here bowling with a few drinks, pretty good prices and a discount for checking in which was good. Had a few problems with pins getting stuck/not resetting but they ended up just moving lanes and that fixed it. Overall would recommend coming here if in Kona, bit of fun if you're looking for something to do! read more

I have been a league bowler here for two years, but they recently changed the lane conditions to very difficult for right handed bowlers. After some prodding the management has promised to provide the specs so we can research the best way to bowl on these conditions. I'm not sure why they made them more difficult but am glad they are willing to work with their customers on this issue. read more

The only place that you can really have a drink and your children can have fun too. Roomy and great grinds. Plenty different kind drinks and you can also play pool. Karaoke games and bowling. This place has it all open late to so when the kids sleep come back and have a good time read more

I love KBX! Great Karaoke with a huge range of song choices. The food is great - I love their onion rings! And they even have a fun arcade! There is something for everyone! The only downside is that the bar is a bit overpriced. There are way cheaper places to go in town if you wanna have a drink. read more

We recently moved to the big island and there's not a lot to do in Kona, but we decided to check this place out anyway. Apparently it gets really crowded on nights and weekends with drunks, kids and families. Definitely not a chill spot, felt more like a zoo. The bowling is way overpriced at $40/hour, but I guess that's what you can gouge if you're the only bowling alley in town. The food took a really long time just to stand in line to order, and it was just okay. Not a lot of healthy options on food for special diets, such as gluten free or vegans/vegetarians. The bar was also very strange as we stood there for 10 minutes waiting for any bartender to acknowledge us. We had no idea how much any of their basic bar items cost as they don't have a menu with prices anywhere, only a list of some speciality drinks. Bored of waiting and dying of thirst, they could at least have plastic cups with pitchers of water available when it gets busy. But the biggest reason why they get a low star review is for how unsanitary the bathroom was, with toilet paper all over the floors, soap boxes empty, and unmopped floors. State park public restrooms feel cleaner. We waited for the karaoke room to open, which took longer than expected because their karaoke host was late to work, arriving after the time the room was supposed to open and then had to take time to set it all up. They still charged us to sing even though no one else was in there. Felt really awkward. It's really too bad there isn't a better place for adults to spend time in Kona. My girls and i went out tonight for a much needed girls night to sing some karaoke and such. We arrived and quickly got some song orders in and then had some drinks. There were not many people in there maybe 5 at the most. To make a long story short the girl that "works" the karaoke room was rarely in there and mostly hung out at the bar. People were singing songs "raunchy" style by adding in nasty words to make them all perverse it was disgusting. They have no one in there paying attention to that kind of thing, nobody wants to hear that. Plus she wouldnt play the songs in order. She was playing favorites to the locals of the karaoke bar and playing like 10 of their songs to 1 of ours. We had babies to get home to so we ended up leaving before we actually got to sing songs we had ALREADY paid for!!!!!! She was ridiculous. Why even have someone in there? She was either hanging out at the bar or outaide smoking a cigarette while we had our songs bumped to the bottom of the list even though we had already paid long before the other groups. This place is honestly awesome. Great for the whole family. My three year old loved it & the kiddie bumpers & bowling assisting rack were great for her! The staff is cordial & friendly & the food is great! Large, yummy, fresh portions at very reasonable prices. If in Kona & looking for a fun indoors alternative with kiddos, check them out. Maui doesn't have a good bowling alley! So when we were visiting from Maui we decided to check out this bowling alley. My five-year-old daughter had never been to a bowling alley so this was really a treat. We went at night so it was cosmic bowling. There was a lot to do a lot of great music and black lights. We came in on a Saturday night. The parking lot was fairly full and the place seemed to be popping. At the end of each lane is a large projection screen. Tonight they had music videos playing on each one. Kudos to whoever put the playlist together tonight. Yú can only rent the lanes by the hour with a max of 6 people per lane (this is for Fri-Sun). For two pairs of shoes and the lane for 1 hour of bowling it came out to $48. We ended up getting three games in during our hour. It was a bit pricy in my opinion and not worth it for just two people. For every spare or strike yú bowl tickets are dispensed out of the keyboard console. These can be redeemed at the arcade located inside. The arcade had a decent selection of games. The cost to play some of them were a bit redonk. The prizes were over priced as well. We had fun but they have some room for improvement. I'd give it a 3.5 stars if I could. read more

I called today @ 2:30pm asking about the kids play for free coupon and asked if I needed to make reservations. I was told I wil be on the waiting list. I show up before three pm my name is not on the waiting list. Then I was told that im not able to bowl because there is four families ahead of me that waked in !! I told her put me on the waiting list n e ways jus in case there a no call no show !! Dude to I seen her trying to the the families before me !! I was pissed if they are walk in the should be called if not by Nexted!! And on top of that there wea six lanes open with no one on it !! WTF!!!! Then come back to look wea she is at on the list !! The name above mine is crossed out !! So wat !! Was I nexted !! Lil after that I get a call at 3:32 sorry we will not be able to fit u in today !!! BS !!! I would rate this with no stars but yelp doesn't allow it. I'm just very disappointed with some of the "rules" in play. I go to kbx VERY often & I do get carded most of the time which is not a big deal except for the fact that it's always the same bartender, Becca. I wasn't in there looking to drink, I was just talking to a friend & I got carded even after stating I was going to drink WATER. The only ID I have on me is unfortunately expired so she told me she couldn't serve me which wasn't a big deal because I wasn't going to drink anyways... I wasn't even sitting at the bar, I was standing behind a post next to my friends bag & after about 2 minutes she ended up kicking me out! Mind you, I was there the night before & I bought 2 beers, 1 pitcher & 3 shots without getting carded at all... I mean, expired or not, it has my birthday on it so I don't see why it's a problem enough to literally kick someone out of a bar who isn't drinking. A great place to kill time for our flight was delayed. It was a little difficult to find the place because my GPS was not precise but we managed to figure it out after a few attempts and realized we just have to go towards the right end side of the plaza and into the back and its right in the business building plaza. This place is great! They had everything, bar, bowling alley, karaoke, pool, arcade and a little diner that I kept seeing on Yelp for having good food. Too full from my previous dinner to actually eat again but I am sure it was good because there were a lot of people there eating and just by a glimpse of their plates. The arcade has many games too, similar to a Dave and Buster's with raffles you can exchange for snacks and prizes. Karaoke was for the 21+up and they weren't separate rooms so other parties can you hear sing nearby. Definitely a great hangout spot or family night in Kona and they're closed until 2am everyday too! read more
