The front desk staff was welcoming upon entry and the wait time was not too long. Scheduling the appointment online was an easy process and there were many available openings. We saw Dr. Nickell. I chose her because I thought she would be the most familiar with Frenchies, as she has a boxer. It was apparent that Dr. Nickell had reviewed the uploaded records prior to meeting with us so that was a plus. We went in for a annual wellness exam and updated heartworm and flea preventative prescriptions. I did not like that I did not see any portion of an exam being conducted. Dr. Nickell felt my dog' abdomen, but then took him to the back for his weight and a heartworm test. I did not see her assess his ears, eyes or teeth and she did not comment on anything besides his weight for prescriptions. He had been on a lower dosage, but would have to be moved up as his weight increased a couple pounds. He needed a heartworm test prior to the new prescription. It was $80, which is on the higher end for a heartworm test. I was told I could wait in the waiting room and someone world come out to tell me the results, but no one did. I asked reception on my own. Overall, Dr. Nickell was not very personable and I did not like that I paid for a wellness exam that I did not see and was not discussed.

When other dogs would come out, they were all well-behaved. - I believe this shows they do a good job of accepting well-mannered dogs so that the daycare is a safe place for their dogs. Unfortunately, none of the staff assigned to that room (At least the several times I watched) attempted to help integrate our dog with the pack. Staff working the room didn't appear to even acknowledge our dog whenever he was in the video frame. After about 3 hours of this, I called and asked to pick him up. I had high hopes for sending our dog there on a regular basis, but it doesn't appear the staff paid much attention during the meet & greet.

We boarded our kitties there while out of town for a major trip, the outgoing cat was able to go "work" in the back room and he loved it. The skittish cat had no signs of being upset for being left a week. That says a lot in my eyes. One particular aspect of this office... they will not immediately steer you to expensive diagnostics. If your baby might have an inflamed intestinal condition, they will just help correct the diet and treat the symptoms as needed. Other businesses are quick to do intestinal biopsy and ultrasounds. Sure that might be your choice to do, but I like how practical the team is. My kitty with the intestinal issue lived to be 20 years old, and he was supported through old age with fluids, and b-12 shots as needed. Those last years could have cost me thousands of dollars, but we got the standard of care that he would receive anyway. Our rescue skittish kitty had stomatitis 4 years ago. The remedy is removal of the molars. The staff quoted us $1200 as standard estimate. We paid it and came to pick her up the next day. The staff corrected our bill and refunded us $400 because the surgery did not take as long as expected and since she was young, the removal was not complicated. They saved her life! Not only by knowing how to treat her, but they offered an option to euthanasia. Kitty is still sassy and happy today. When we got our new puppy, Dr. H was my first stop on the way home! The cuddles and loves for new babies are so genuine! Dr.H took the time to educate me, the cat mom, on how to raise my puppy. I'm so grateful!

I love that they have different levels of rooms, depending on what your dog needs or you want. I prefer to do the completely private room, even though my dog is small, to lessen the external noises he has to hear. Around Halloween they had "trick or treat" bags for the dogs by the front desk. I had previously made a boarding reservation here for the holiday weekend for my dog. However, with inclement weather approaching, we changed our travel plans due to potential road conditions. I had to pay a deposit equal to half of the cost for stay. When I called, they said due to their policy of it being a holiday weekend, I would have to cancel 1 week in advance. Otherwise, they would keep my deposit. No exceptions. I had planned to drop my dog off Friday night with Tuesday pick up. I had called other franchises and each have their own policy. The other location required only a 50 dollar deposit refundable if cancelled 72 hours in advance. If cancelled within that 72 hour period, the 50 dollars is kept but credited to the owner's account. Compared to other franchises, this makes the cancellation policy at this location much worse. I will not be bringing my dog to this location again in the future.
