Bottom line: do not hire this company for sandblasting stucco. Please trust all the negative reviews on Yelp. I wish I had read the negative reviews more carefully before doing business with KC Power Clean. I have owned 4 different homes and worked with more than 30 contractors on various projects over the last 25 years, and I have never had such a negative and stressful experience. This company is dishonest, tries to intimidate you, gaslight you, and is a scam! This is only the second Yelp review I have written (the first one was super positive), but let me provide more details about my particular job, so my review is credible. KC Power Clean's performance was unprofessional from start to finish. They bid the job remotely by FaceTime, stated it could be completed in one day, and encouraged me to take the lesser of their two quotes ($3,500 for the day vs. $4,500 for the whole job) -- this for a house of only 850 square feet with a one-car garage. Once the two-man crew arrived and was unsure of how to even start the job, I called the supervisor and he reversed himself and said this was definitely not a one-day job and argued with me about letting me take the higher priced $4500 to completion bid (when his crew had been on sight for 1.5 hours). Then after next to nothing was accomplished after 2 days he started to refer to this as a 4-to-5-day job. This job was taking 4 to 5 days because the crew was young, inexperienced, lacking in supervision, and spent hours talking on their phones and sitting in their truck. Concerns were serious enough that I called KC Clean just 1.5 hours after the crew arrived, and after watching his workers sit in their truck for hours on end, I had to call the supervisor every two to three hours throughout the two days they were on my property. They came unprepared, lacking even the plastic sheeting needed for containment, and spent several hours that they could have been preparing other windows waiting for more plastic to be delivered. The protection they did install was inadequate (not covering the windows to the top). They first day they arrived after 10:00 am and left by 3:00 p.m., and when asked if they could stay longer to finish the basic prep they refused. On the second day they arrived over an hour late. They did not start sandblasting until noon, worked only 80 minutes before lunch, and completed just half of one of eight walls by the end of day two. When I would call the supervisor, he would talk in circles. He tried to gaslight me that I did not know slow and unprofessional work when I saw it. I had another house sandblasted that was twice as big as the current house, so I know exactly how this work could be done more professionally by an experienced crew with the proper equipment, training, and supervision. The workers were so inexperienced and unprofessional that I had safety concerns about letting them continue. After two days of watching this and spending hours on the phone with their supervisor almost nothing accomplished (half of one of eight walls), and the supervisor refusing to send more experienced workers, I asked them to leave my property and not return. I hired a more professional replacement contractor who came the next day, cleaned up KC Power Clean's mess, applied new professional plastic protection to all windows and doors, shielded the neighbors at the level required, and completed the entire job in 4.5 hours. Since this super stressful and costly experience, the supervisor has continued to contact me by phone, text, and email demanding payment for 50% of the work. They are trying to intimidate me with claims about having photos of how much work was completed. I noticed another negative review states that they edit their photos. I have my own photos of what was completed and the mess they made. Again, bottom line this is a scam: they completed less than 15% of the job, wasted two days of my time, aggravated my neighbors, and left a gigantic mess on my property that I had to pay another company to clean up. I have tried calling multiple companies that were very unresponsive to returning my calls. On the last ditch effort, I tried this company and someone answered and was very professional about it. Originally, I just wanted my concrete power washed and stained and sealed and they did such great work that I decided to do my entire swimming pool coping as well. I had to get moss cleaned off the roof per my home insurer or suffer some negative consequences to my policy. This was a very pricey job in my opinion. After reading their reviews and verifying their license we agreed this was the company to go with. They advised us they would be there in the am to do the work Today on Monday. We received a text confirmation Sunday night that they would be there between 11 and 1. They NEVER showed up. We received a text at 4ish today stating a tech knocked on the door and nobody answered. They stated they called my husband which they did NOT so could they reschedule for tomorrow. This is after the tenant moved everything including cars, patio furniture etc as this company asked us to do. Additionally Jonathan who scheduled the appointment stated nobody needed to be there. We live only 1 mile from the rental. After receiving the text my husband called and spoke to Sam who seemed apologetic but refused to allow me to speak to the owner Khristopher. I am not sure how to proceed but extremely disappointed in how this was handled. I have already paid my 10% deposit. **update: a manager did reach out to try and make things right, but in the form of a return visit to clean more. While the gesture is appreciated, and this helped correct some of the mess left from the previous visit - ultimately an exterior cleaning job still ended up costing me an additional $1500 in pool cleaning fees. I wish I had only gotten solar panel and roof cleaning from them. Everything else was a disaster. What started out as a request for a full external wash (roof, gutters, solar panels, patio, house exterior, windows, driveway, fence) started off great then the back half was rushed with no cleanup at all. All of the sprayed surfaces just splashed all over every other surfaces, our furniture, walls etc and was not cleaned up. When I was told "a little sediment may end up in the pool" I did not expect that all of the grime would be pushed into the pool, causing us to have to pay to have the entire thing drained, acid washed, water replaced, filter cleaned, and salted/balanced again. What was a $700 exterior clean has now cost us 3x that to correct everything else. I've tried reaching out the project manager via the line he provided, with zero response. Im tired, and I still have to clean all our furniture so I'll just leave this here in hopes it saves someone else the headache. read more

I needed our roof pressured washed and a few tiles replaced. I was pleased with the quality of work. As for the value I wish it would have been a little cheaper. But they did a good job, cleaned my solar panels I had 9. There was a misunderstanding about payment I said I can pay cash but they said they do it all on line credit card. Well there is a 3percent charge and I told him I wanted to pay cash but I was under the impression I could only pay by credit card. He mentioned it was in our contract, who reads all of that. But he was kind enough to remove the 3 percent charge. Bottom line if you pay by credit card there is a service fee, be prepared. Many insurance companies will use mold/algae as a reason not to insure your home. Many companies makes promises but don't keep. Called last Saturday evening and one of their reps called me back which was surprising. I sent some pictures and asked if they could remove these nasty stains from my homes exterior walls. I did not have drains installed on two walls and had water/dirt stains their for years. They stated they would be able to remove the stains. I also had a roof-tile on the edge my eve fall off and they offered to fix this for me. They gave me pricing which I thought was pretty good and scheduled me for the following weekend. The service technician showed up right at the beginning of the arrival window in the morning which was really nice. The service technician did an amazing job! He not only removed the stains from the two walls that did not have gutters but he also washed the front exterior of my house as well. In addition he repaired my fallen roof-tile as well. My house exterior paint looks pretty new now just like when I purchased the house years ago. They also followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the work, which I was! I felt compelled to leave this quick review for the folks from KC power clean as I was extremely satisfied with the service. They are extremely responsive and their pricing competitive and the work done was five star. The thing that attracted me the most about the company is the hard working provider and the work ethic. I have a driveway that was suffering from a variety of different challenges and that I had a number of layers of concrete paint that was attached to some pavers that more than likely was not sealed properly. This causing the concrete paint to bubble and peel back. The company came out and did a thorough sandblasting of the area opening up the pores to the pavers, allowing the process to be continued. I opted in to have the concrete pavers sealed, and as a lack of my knowledge in this industry, I opted for a waterbase seal, also known as a deep penetrating seal to be completed. Ultimately, that was not the correct choice and was a learning opportunity for me. I wanted the natural color of all of the stone to come out and as it dried, it was a bit flat and looked like concrete. Understanding this was the first round in the learning process, I called back expressing my concern/request. I was met with a very positive and solutions based conversation that ultimately gave me the correct options and the solution that was needed. Ultimately, I decided to have them come back out and do an acrylic seal which creates the opportunity for the natural color of the stone to come out. The team works well together and communicates with their clients in a rapid and attentive manner. I highly recommend giving them a try. Their pricing is competitive, and while the discussion around the second round of sealer was based off of my lack of knowledge here they did work with me on the price and made it possible for me to afford the final product.
