I am an architect and had the pleasure of working with Matan and his team on a project in Lafayette, CA. The project was a renovation of a ranch home for a young family. The primary project goal was to customize the home interiors to work better for the family living arrangement and bring more daylight into the home. The budget was fairly tight but there were lofty design and detailing goals. It was difficult to find a contractor that was interested in a project of this scale, who could deliver the level of finish expectations, and meet the clients' budget and schedule goals. Matan and M&R just completed a relatively large high end kitchen remodel for us. This was a 5-month plus long project that was quite extensive. We are very pleased with the way it turned out. There were a few hiccups as one would expect in a project like this (nothing really out of the ordinary), and I'm very detail oriented. So, we needed a contractor who was likable, patient, professional, also detail oriented, and willing to work cooperatively with us as the project progressed. Matan was all of these things and more. He is the consummate professional and his communication and responsiveness are outstanding. We were communicating with him every day throughout the project and even in the evenings and over lots of weekends. We had a toilet leak that created mold and water damage to our bathroom and nursery. Matan's company was recommended to us by the mold remediation workers for repair and remodeling and we couldn't have been more lucky than to work with them. Matan and his crew were AMAZING. They replaced the subfloor, tiles, toilet and sink/vanity in the bathroom and repaired the nursery walls which were down to the studs. They gave us a great price for the work, and worked very quickly to get ALL the repairs done within a WEEK as we were bathroomless until the work was semi complete. We hired Matan to remodel our guest bathroom and our master bathroom. Both jobs were done to an exceptional level and we are extremely pleased with the results. For this review, I will focus on the master bathroom since it was a much bigger job. Our master bathroom needed a lot of work. We changed the location of the shower, toilet, and the entrance to our closet. This required walls to be knocked down and rebuilt. In short, this was a BIG job. So many incredible things to say about this company!! We hired Matan to remodel and expand 2 bathrooms and relocate our laundry room upstairs. From the initial first contact, he was immediately responsive and quickly made time to come out to our house. Through Matan, we also contracted with a really great architect who designed the spaces. Matan was extremely thorough and detailed throughout the entire project. He always offered up great ideas and was very patient with us. We added on to the scope of the project along the way and each time Matan had an extremely can do approach to what we were asking for and worked to get it done. We had some delays with the permit process, but Matan made sure to communicate with us and have his team ready to go as soon as permits were approved.
