Everything is good here. Burgers are best in town , and they have an offering of delicious Mickey made fried food after hours menu.

We were in town, looking for a place for dinner and came across KC's. It seemed to be a good choice with a number of interesting looking menu items. We got there right around 6PM on Monday. There were only two other parties there so service was pretty quick. I think we got our food without 15 or 20 minutes. Chicken Fried Steak Burger ($15.49) - Starting with the meat, we have a pork chop that's breaded and fried. The pork still has a bit of fat and gristle attached and doesn't seem to be tenderized that much given a somewhat more firm bite. Still it's meaty, has good seasoning and, while not especially moist, isn't dry either. On the exterior they have a nice layer of breading that's quite salty but adds a good crunch to the sandwich. On top of the meat, there's a fried egg with the egg yolk still runny. Biting through the sandwich allows the yolk to ooze out. They add shredded potatoes to the burger, which I found to be quite week. The potatoes are undercooked, resulting in pieces that have a bit too much raw bite without any additional crisp crunch. There's a peppery and decadent sausage gravy dousing everything, which seems homemade, with larger pieces of breakfast pork pieces. I found the burger to be way too rich and it desperately needs a piquant element to cut through that a little bit. Otherwise it's eating heavy bite after heavy bite and is difficult to get through. Still it's tasty. (3/5) Upgrade Side to Poutine ($2.49) - The burgers come with fresh cut fries by default, but I chose to upgrade to poutine. Apparently if you just ask for poutine, they use tots, but I asked them to switch to fries - and to make them extra crispy. Were they extra crispy? Not at all. If anything, they were more like extra soggy. The fries are clearly single fried and not fried nearly long enough to add any sort of crisp. The brown gravy and queso (tostitos perhaps given the peppers?) taste as expected. With everything together, it's honestly indistinguishable from microwaved leftover poutine. Probably the most disappointing thing I ate that night. (2/5) KC's Burger ($11.49) - The patty is beefy, cooked medium with a bit of pink, and is exceptionally moist and flavorful. They add tons of veggies, including pickle, onion, tomato, and lettuce, giving freshness with every bite. There's a perfect amount of condiments to add additional moisture, but not too much to make the burger messy to eat. This is a solid burger, honestly not much else I can say about it. (4/5) Upgrade Side to Green Bean Fries ($2.49) - I haven't had green bean fries before, so I had to order this. I have to say this was much better than expected - in fact, this was the best thing I ate during the meal. They have a pretty good crisp exterior and the interior green bean is mostly tender but still exhibits a tiny bit of a snap. The green beans are not soggy at all. I would get these over and over again. (5/5) Frybread Slice ($1.49) - This was the last chance to get frybread on our road trip and we took advantage of it. This "slice" is essentially a small doughnut triangle, maybe 4 inches at the widest. The dough is dense and heavy, bready and chewy, folded over in a swirl rather than flattened. The taste has a bit of a subtle sourdoughy taste, but also a bit of bitterness from the oil. It's definitely very different from all the Native American frybreads we had this trip. (4/5) The food at KC's is a bit hit and miss, but if you stay with the burgers and avoid getting the fries, you'll probably leave satisfied. I see a lot of the negative reviews complaining about service, but we didn't have a problem. Perhaps since those reviews were written, the staff has improved? My team and I decided to come here to eat for dinner we came out here on business for a gas outage to assist Avista, the workers were very welcoming and attentive very nice we order our food ahead of time to save some time so we can eat and get back out there to restore gas services to customers, it validate our reason being there when customers would walk in cheering for us and thanking us, we felt very welcome from California, KC burgers are a hit. read more

Went in and got a to go order, it took 4 diffrent servers to help us order 2 bugers n kids meal, should have checked bag before i left because they forgot a side of ranch for onion rings and a side if tetriaki for the hawain buger. When i paid i swiped my card then she pushed a few buttons handed me back the handheld thing asked me to sign, where i barely noticed she pushed the 30% tip gratuity for me and just wanted me to sign. Luckily i noticed it in time but she litterally was gonna pick her own tip and 30%? For what which one of the 4 waitresses would it even go to...on top of all the sauces missing the shredded lettuce was wilted and hot as if it were microwaved and the whole bottom bun was soggy wet...it ost me $56 and definatly was not worth it!! 2 hawaiin bugers and onion rings instead of fries with one and a kids grilled cheese....oh and a kids apple juice and an ice water while we waited for the food. The pinapple was not grilled either, it was microwaved and thete was no ham on it like i would thing there would be.. .i ended up tossing over half of it. Well, my first (and probably last) visit to KCs burgers is a bust. I've been here for 45 minutes, waiting for my order, being ignored by the staff. The only reason I haven't just gotten up and left is that I managed to get served a soda for which I need to pay. 50 minute Update: my burger and fries came and I have asked for a to go box. This is apparently a huge chore. Waiting for check. 55 Minute update: Still waiting... 60 minute update: Still waiting. Wondering if I am invisible. 65 minute update: Asked for my check (again) and was finally able to pay. I came to KCs because I heard how good the food was and how awesome the experience is. I have yet to taste the food and am not at all impressed with the experience. I usually give places that are new to me two chances, everyone has a bad day. I'm more disappointed that the restaurant wasn't very busy and that I was just patently ignored for most of my time. I was not hidden at a table, I was sitting at the bar and every member of the staff were back and forth without so much as asking if I needed anyone just to say it was going to take a little bit. Our family of 4 two adults and two children swung in for an easy Father's Day dinner. The sign when you walk in says "wait to be seated" after waiting for a few minutes, somebody told us to sit wherever we'd like. We ordered a couple of beers that were good but came out after about 15 minutes and a kids meal and a three burgers it took over an hour for us to get our food and when it came out, the fries were soggy and cold as were the burgers, my sons chicken strips were RAW, they missed delivered someone else's food to our table and never provided any water napkins or silverware. When we asked pay for our drinks and the appetizer and leave, we were told they would give us 50% off. SKIP THIS PLACE!!! it's not worth your time to wait for well below average food at high prices. read more

Pleasantly surprised. I'd heard good things about this place from many people and decided to give it a try. My first impression was "wow this place is small" but they have the good kind of hole-in-the-wall aesthetic, small-town, mom and pop shop type of feel. I love it. Our server, Victoria was a sweetheart. The smile never left her face! Our food was prepared well, and tasted great. Their burgers definitely lived up to our expectations. Delicious burgers and appetizers! We started with the sampler platter, fresh hand batteries mushrooms, potato stacks, fried pickles and AMAZING mac and cheese onion rings. I was very happy to see nothing was frozen, all handmade you order. The mushrooms were still crisp and I could eat the rings all day long, they were so good! Then the burgers, my sons was topped with bacon and an egg mine was topped with pastrami and kraut with a side of garlic fries. Both were stacked high on a beautiful glistening bun, the meat was juicy and I don't know about my sons (he said it was great) but mine was incredible. Each bite was a juicy mess and I loved every second of it! Of course I washed it down with a good beer, the Sam Adams winter logger. They have MANY beers to choose from. Amazing portion sizes. We ordered the 10 piece boneless wings and only got 9. There was only one server for about 15 tables so she was all over the place and it was hard to ask for something when we needed it. The place is smaller, but the food was absolutely amazing. The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is that the waitress was very nice. Got there at 7:00PM on Saturday night. The hostess told us to try to find a seat in the game room. After a bit of hunting we found some seats. No waitress for about 15 min so I went and ordered drinks at the bar. Waitress showed up and took the food order. For the next hour and a half the waitress kept coming by to apologize for the wait. Food arrived at 9:00PM. The waitress explained that it is a tiny kitchen for the three full rooms that they are trying to feed. I would suggest telling customers that there is a 90 min wait for food after they order. Another suggestion would be to limit the menu to the items you can put out in a reasonable time. read more

So to follow up on my review... ended up having a food borne illness or disease from unsanitary food preparation area and food that had spoiled. Reported it to not only Lewiston Health Department but the Feds too. I feel people should know the truth and be able to make decisions of where to patronize based upon the facts. I mean I realize the quarantine has created quite the financial hardship for all of us, especially the food industry, but that does NOT make it okay to cut corners or try to save money by using food past the expiration date. (Especially poultry- Which obviously was the case here). I just wish they had to eat what they served, so they know how it feels to be (for lack of better word) POISONED! Makes me so upset because we trust these people to prepare our food under clean and sanitary conditions. I called them today, Tuesday (incident happened Saturday evening) and asked to speak to the owner. Some lady named Joann or Joyce?? got on the phone and told me she was the owner. (It clearly states a person named Kathy owns the place...but whatever??) I explained to her my situation and thought she would like to know, as to not poison any more of her customers! She was so rude!! She told me "when this happens, we see more than one case of it". Well perhaps no one ordered the "smoked chicken" or was served runny eggs and mushy, slimy rice?? No apology, no offer to refund me, NOTHING but a rude, very rude, unprofessional attitude. I asked her if she thought I was lying and she said "when this happens there is always mite than one customer I'll." How many times has it happened is what I want to know! I told her I would be contacting visa and to expect a visit from the county health inspector. She told me she knew them well!!!! I BET SHE DOES!!!!! I hope this review gets read by every customer this establishment ever might of had, save your self the diarrhea and stomach cramping for 18 hours and choose somewhere else. This is your typical mom and pop hole in the wall or so you would think. Its a hidden Gem. We found it on a whim and walked in, the atmosphere is fun, and lively. Staff is friendly, the food is amazing. When I am in the mood for a burger its got to be a really amazing one, and KC's Burgers and Brews defiantly hits the spot every time. Was in town for a baseball game and a friend found this place near the field. The service was fantastic and the food was so good. I had a teriyaki chicken sandwich with handmade fries. I'm not a fan of salt, especially since so many places oversalt their fries, but there was just enough. Ate every last one of them. My husband had a burger and loved it as well. We had a big group and everyone raved about their meals. Will definitely go back next time we're in town. read more

Awesome #2 burger with bacon, barbecue sauce, cheddar and onion rings on a brioche bun. The bacon was thick and meaty, and there was just the right amount of everything else. It was hot and tasty and I would order this again! The curly fries were another story. They were cold, rubbery, flavorless, and completely inedible. I should have ordered the onion rings if they were as good as the ones on the burger. Usually, this place rocks!!! Burgers are solid but this morning we tried something else. I had the breakfast sandwich. It was a little much for a pretty basic menu item. I ordered with the fry bread option. Not the tastiest and the bread still doughy. I can eat just about anything this was a challenge. My wife had the chicken fried steak. Seemed like every thing deep fried including the gravy. Again not very palatable. Service on the other hand was awesome and probably only reason for the stars. I don't know what's happening in the kitchen but it needs to be reevaluated for anything other than burgers. read more

So, let me preface this review by saying I've had some really great food and experiences here. I've also swore them off more than once for serving crappy, dry, over-cooked burgers. The wait staff is always hard-working and friendly, but more often then not...apologetic. Which takes me to my latest review. Tonight (Saturday and fairly busy), we found a table, ordered drinks, and ordered our food within a 10-minute period. Our appetizer was served in a timely manner (fried pickles) and was good. Our server came by a few times to see if we wanted more drinks/beers. After a half hour, and about three check-ins, we started to wonder...we were noticing tables that had been there longer then us that hadn't been served. After about 45 minutes, our server passed by and told us our food was almost ready. Never a good sign! After an hour and 10 minutes, (just knowing our burgers were going to be way overcooked and dry) our food arrived...dry and overcooked. Imagine that? And for my side, I chose onion rings after watching two people who had them. Their's looked fresh and amazing! I recieved 4 onion rings (as my side), and they looked nothing like what our neighboring table had. I asked if I could have a few more and they said they would have to charge me! In the end, they brought me 3 more at no charge...I'm done with this place, which is sad, because as stated earlier, I've been impressed here before. My burger, btw, was dry, tasteless, and SO overcooked (their menu claims the cooked to medium unless you ask for something different). Ha! A nasty $50.00 experience. Too many great places to eat in the valley to take another chance here. read more
