I had a Philly cheese steak with French onion soup and a sponge bread. Philly was really really good. I didn't order any mushrooms, but they accidentally put it on and I decided to eat it anyway, and it was delicious. 9.3/10. The French onion soup was amazing 10/10 The orange sponge cake. I was not a fan of, but that's definitely based on my preference. The service was really good, if I were dining in, I'd be worried about parking but other than that, I would definitely come back. Friendly and Kind Service @ Main St. Grill in Lewiston, ID. ! We were greeted by enthusiastic staff and enjoyed their outside patio area on a wonderful sunny day in the Downtown Historic District of Lewiston. The ice teas and pretzel bites were good, we were checked on accordingly, and invited to stay as long as we wanted. Later on, while visiting other nearby local businesses, I realized that I left my sunglasses on the patio table. I've only had lunch here, but my husband and I decided to have the breakfast experience at Main Street today! We were not disappointed! The hashbrowns were NOT greasy (most bfast places we go seem to have them loaded with grease and I feel ill the rest of the day) and I love there is a pancake option instead of toast (only .50 extra!!). We're actually sitting down and it's been at least 10 minutes and we just got coffee but not before our order was taken. Granted, they only have one waitress on shift ( as far as I can tell) but, there was only one table seated besides ours and they had already finished and looked to be just chatting. This is our 2nd breakfast at this restaurant ( we're from out of town) and it mimics yesterday's experience. The plus side is food seemed fresh and of good quality and came to the table hot but forget about getting a 2nd cup of coffee until your nearly done or done with your meal. I want very much to like this place and would rate it better but service needs to improve significantly, at least for breakfast and so I'm willing to give it a 3 star based on my limited experience. read more

Great location on the cutest little downtown square - be ready for a wait, and I think maybe sit outside if you want ambiance (the booths inside aren't much to look at). Thy had a decent menu of sandwiches, burgers, soup, some Americanized Mexican food, and all day breakfast. Nothing too crazy or special, but it did the trick. I'd say to be ready to order your food right away if it's busy, because you may not see your server again for a while!! Maybe they were short staffed because of COVID, but we had a long wait to be seated, then long waits after that for everything once we WERE seated. There was also a faint odor of restroom in there, but maybe it's just because it was in a historical building and that's what happens...I don't know. We don't live in Lewiston, but visit every time we come to town, 2 or 3 times a year. My husband enjoys the zonker sandwich. It's huge and the left overs make a great lunch the next day. I'm a huge fan of their cabbage patch salad. Not sure exactly what's in that dressing, but it's spot on. So yummy! I don't usually buy store bought dressing, but I'd buy this if I could! read more

My siblings and I came to Lewiston to visit our father for his birthday. We elected to walk along the town and see what they had to offer. We stopped at Main Street Grill for lunch. Juanita was our server and she was a delight. I wasn't feeling the best and had asked for ginger ale. She stated they did not have any but offered me coca cola and sprite together- shockingly enough it tastes like ginger ale. Juanita also helped us in wishing our father a happy birthday, while they do not sing here she did get us a scoop of ice cream for our father. The service was great and the food was pretty good. I ordered the Jamaican wrap- I thought it would be a little more on the jerk side however my taste buds could have been way off given the copious amounts of cough drops I had consumed that day. read more

My daughter and I had lunch at Main Street Grill yesterday, my first time back in a few years. She ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap with fries and liked it. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with sausage. Both were brought to the table quickly after we ordered and were nice and hot. Unfortunately, the cook decided to throw mushrooms into my burrito, which was not a part of the description on the menu. I loathe mushrooms. The waitress offered to have the kitchen remake the burrito, but that always takes too long when your dining partner is already enjoying their meal, so I opted to pick the mushrooms out myself (gross!). I still can't give Main St Grill 5 stars because of this mistake. The other issue is that I received only about 2 bites of the hash browns on my plates. read more

The food was good. The service horrid. We waited over 5 min. to be acknowledged at the door then over 10 min to be acknowledged after being seated outside. Then she went inside two more times before stopping to take our order. The jelly that was requested never arrived, the coffee etc was never refilled. All her attention was given to the couple that drove up in the Cadillac. We were also ignored by the manager that came out to check on other patrons. Another couple was seated next to us and they were not acknowledged until our food came. Either they need to care as much about the two tables in the cubby hole or remove them. We have been going to Main St. Grill for almost two years. When we go, we have been asking for Lance or Nikki as we really thought they were excellent servers. Well, we lost Nikki as she had a baby, and when we went in yesterday, we found out Lance is no longer there either. Boy did we miss him and his excellent service. In the last few months there seems to have been a change in management or ownership as the service is not what it used to be and the food portions are smaller, as well. I have been in the food service industry for many years and am very concerned about the service experience we had yesterday and am wondering if that is going to be the norm in the future. So I decided to give this place another spin and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the shrimp and steak bites plate. They cooked the food custom for me and it was absolutely delicious and perfect. Tender well done steak. The 3 large shrimp were well battered and tender with the slightly crisp shell. Whoever is cooking over there better get a raise or something because they can COOK!! Plate presentation was superb. I have also tried the chicken fried chicken and I'm not sure what's in the sauce but OMG it's freaky delicious ! The non grill side is noisy - I ain't gonna lie. Acoustics in that room ROAR but the other side is nice. This is not a place to go for peace and quiet it's a place to EAT! And if you like eating delicious food that's as borderline addictive go eat there ! I also want to add the fries were good. The fry sauce was tasty.
