Both stores are beautiful collections of all things woman: jewelry, dresses, suits, house decor and more. These shops are not only aesthetic with great women working within each location, but also thoughtfully curated with many unique, hand-made and handpicked items that match the price. These are the types of shops you want to support! In Driftwood, the owner was lovely to introduce herself and gently educate us on the items we were interested in - most of which supported other women/ small businesses. In Coast, Kirra kindly chatted with us and answered all of the questions we had. Mahalo!

This shop had a nice assortment and she purchased a 3 stone pendant and a pair of earrings. She is very happy with her purchase, but the lady we purchased from was the real treasure - personable, knowledgeable.. everything you look for in a salesperson. It's funny, but after a few minutes of conversation she asked if we would watch the shop while she went to use the restroom. I thought that it was wonderful she had that amount of trust in us (and her trust was not misplaced).

They sized me for a steering silver toe ring and I've been wearing it ever since. It has never broken or fallen off. Well, 6 years later I planned a trip back to Maui and knew I wanted to go here again for another toe ring. I told my friend I knew exactly where the location was and once I found the spot I went right to the corner. Voila, they were still right there and ready to help! They have a chair you can sit in while they pick the best size for the toe. They also sell other jewelry, like pendants, etc, but I just wanted my toe ring. Now I have two toe rings and happy memories of wonderful customer service too! Thank you so much for the aloha vibes here and maybe I will come back for a third one one day! :)

He wouldn't let me pay for the new pin he installed. What a nice man! I had previously taken it to another repair spot, and they not only broke one of the ceramic links, but I had to go back twice because they didn't install the pins properly. So my watch fell right off my wrist within 30 mins of leaving the shop on the mainland. Grateful to have found this little gem here on island. If you're anywhere near Kihei and need jewelry repair or are just looking for truly exceptional…read moreservice, you have to visit Topaz Repair and Design Studio. I brought in my Hawaiian heirloom solid gold bangle -- a piece that means the world to me -- after a bad fall left it bent, and I didn't even realize some enamel had chipped off. I was only visiting Maui for a week and honestly thought I'd have to leave it behind and have it mailed back to me. Instead, I found Topaz... and it felt like winning the lottery. The owner and his wife were incredibly kind. He fixed the bend on the spot, while we waited, and wouldn't accept any payment. I was already beyond grateful. We stepped out to another store, and when I came back to browse, he noticed the missing enamel and immediately started working on that too -- again, no charge -- and asked me to return the next day. When I picked it up, the bracelet looked beautiful, and once again, they refused payment. Their generosity, skill, and genuine kindness left me speechless. I never expected this kind of care, especially during a short trip when timing was tight and they're only open Wednesday through Friday. I was so impressed I ended up buying a pair of earrings because I wanted to support a business that treats people this well. There are truly no words to express my gratitude. Topaz Repair and Design Studio didn't just repair my bracelet -- they restored something sentimental, treated me with warmth, and turned a stressful situation into one of the happiest surprises of my trip. If you need jewelry work done or simply want to support wonderful people, this is the place.

Important to note up top: Jacques was out of town on a buying trip when this happened, so I can't…read moresay he has any clue about this situation. Short version is: I bought a "tsavorite" from Little Tibet after a couple initial test purchases all under $1k just to be sure they were legit. I come back the next days and suddenly my quest for emeralds has an alternative ready to roll: "a gorgeous tsavorite!" they say, "so much more rare than emerald" they say. I was new-ish at the time to the world of gems and unfamiliar with specifically what to look for to authenticate tsavorite. But I guess the thieves had too good of a story and I got excited and bought it. Here's the real punchline: I'm expert at gemology now and it's just a low quality glass fake. Easily spotted by anyone with more than a couple month of gemology expertise (unfortunately that wasn't me at the time, or I'd have saved myself $4500 bucks for a single unset gem). I spent the last year trying to get some response, before finally resorting to the lame approach of leaving a Yelp and Google review. In lieu of any response from the owners, I can only assume they scammed me *knowingly* - it's just so clearly glass when you know anything about gems, and these guys have been doing this stuff for decades vs. my relatively few years. I even took it to GIA world HQ here in Carlsbad, CA just to be 1000% sure my understanding was correct: it is green glass, it's something a novice gem seller would know just by looking through a loupe, and therefore there's not much jumping to conclusions to say "they knowingly sold me a fake and took $4500 for a piece of green glass". Embarrassing for my ego, but now that I have waited long enough to know they have no intention of doing right by me / refunding or even sending some items to make up for a mistake: it's gloves off time. Y'all get one week, otherwise I'm headed back to Maui with my attorneys in tow. That's it, you managed to get me pissed - and that's not a good place to be my friend. You don't want to mess with folks who drop $4500 on a lark - or anyone for that matter, but it's just stupid to not make it right or even return a phone call. You have my number, and if you "lost it", just respond here. Happy to work things out but the clock is ticking for one more week and that's it.
