I'm convinced they have every book I'm interested in…read more When you walk in, you're sure the placed is disorganized and no one could possibly find anything. Then you start looking and the place is as organized as any library. The real problem is they have too many books. Good luck making a decision! I like reading books on sports (well written ones), historical biographies, political non-fiction and American literature. They have it all. What they don't have, they will find. The staff is always very helpful. And everything is reasonably priced. On your first trip, just go in and look around and you'll find books you didn't even know you wanted. If you're not likely to be back for a while, bring a list of books you're interested in to save time.

I'm a sucker for a used book store. But a used book store that also sells vintage baseball cards…read moreAND is in Cooperstown?!? I actually went twice! When Wifey and I went to Cooperstown I was like a kid in a candy shop and wanted to take everything in since we only had a few days. As we wandered up the main strip we were mostly looking at places we'd want to come back to for some deeper dives and this bookstore was one of them. After going to the museum then next day we stopped back in and I left with a couple of vintage cards and two great books. The guy let me haggle on the cards and gave us a discount on the books. If I ever get back up to Cooperstown I hope this place is still around. Great selection, pretty well organized, good prices and the guys working both times we stopped in were great.

This place is chock full o' reads. The first room is all fiction, new and used…read more The middle room has classics, recommended, seasonal, a "spice shelf" with pepper ratings, cool book merch, book bundles. At the checkout counter they have a bunch of bookmarks and stickers available. The mid-back room is all non-fic, and had two chairs if you're the type who wants to sit with your wares for a moment. They back room is used clothing and antique fabrics, and DOES have a fitting room! There's a room for kids and teens too. I recommend you have good knees going in as there are books in every possible nook, high and low, including under tables. There's a read for every flavor and a recommendation for every reader. The shop owners are very knowledgeable of their stock. Parking- for cars I believe there's a back lot? But it's probably easier to just street park.

I got the first four Harry Potter books for my son for like $19 and even though they were used you couldn't tell. I talked a lot to the two women working there who were super nice and helpful and they said if you donate books you get 15% off. This is an amazing place for interesting and different Xmas presents. Give it a try for sure.
