Flavored Wings (greedy) -spicy honey garlic
    El K.

Food is delish! Packed with flavors and mac and cheese has a great texture and consistency. String beans cooked just right. The spicy honey garlic has enough kick and sweetness without over powering. Service was quick. Waited for 20 minutes. TIP: when you order through GrubHub or UberEats, make sure you go their website first and then click either apps. When I ordered directly from the UberEats app, they didn't get my order.

Ordered the stuffed salmon with spinach & cheese along with my two sides . Delicious , delicious, delicious! Lady at counter very friendly & polite . A little pricey but well worth it .

Jumbo Shrimp, Mac & Cheese, and Glazed Brussel Sprouts

Wow! Extremely good food for extremely good prices. The seafood salad is amazing and the shrimps were perfectly seasoned! The lady at the counter was very nice and gave great service too. If you decide to eat inside, there is plenty of space to sit down

Usually I try to wait for multiple reviews before I jump to try a new restaurant and I wish I would've been consistent with my decision making... When I decided to try this spot if I recall correctly there was only 1 review, which was a 4 or 5 star review and I saw multiple pictures of different dishes that made me think, "maybe this place isn't too bad"... It was a Saturday night so I assumed they would be busy so tried to call ahead but could not get an answer so I decided to take a risk and drive to the restaurant. My hubby rode with me; when we arrived there were multiple cars double parked outside of the restaurant so he went inside to order for me - I wanted the Greedy Greens, Mac and Fried salmon but there were no more Greedy Greens so he requested Brussel sprouts for me instead. It took about 35 - 40 mins for the restaurant to notify my hubby that the food was ready for pick up (he was notified via text). When I arrived home the food was still a great temperature and the presentation was fair. Since this was my first time ordering fried salmon I decided to try that first and it was good - a tad less moist than I would've like but the flavor and temperature were good; the Mac was good too - no special callouts though. When I tasted the Brussel sprouts I was disappointed, they were soft as if they had been boiled and they were in a sauce that it seemed they could've been boiled in - I did not like these at all. Sadly, I will not be returning to this place. While my hubby did say the staff that he encountered were pleasant and appeared to be working hard to get orders out, the food was not quite what I would've expected and the long wait didn't help.

This is what I'm talking about. It's been hard finding good soul food in Philadelphia this satisfied my craving. I got lemon pepper wings, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes, even the rice at the bottom was great. I thought it was expensive at first but this is a hearty plate, I ate about half. I went back for lamb chops and green beans, both also really good. The people inside are friendly. Make sure you order ahead or you will wait at least 30-45 minutes. It was busy when I went and they sold out at like 8:30pm.

Man where do I begin?! So I was looking for some soul food and boy did I find it‍ Food literally fed my soul! I had a fried salmon dinner with mac and a whole lot of cheese , some of the best yams I've ever had ! I definitely would recommend ordering ahead but the wait wasn't bad either. They were definitely doing their thing in the kitchen so be quiet and wait lol. I will definitely be back ! Over and over! And hopefully I can get them to cater my wedding in the future

Found this place on tik tok and it did not disappoint. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. You can eat in or take out and I believe they also offer delivery through door dash. I couldn't decide what I wanted so we tried a little of everything and it was all absolutely amazing. Everyone loved it, we could not stop eating. I definitely recommend the greens they were so good and I don't usually like greens but these were unlike anything I've ever had before. I also recommend the Alfredo my kids loved it. You can not go here without trying the shrimp platter it was so good. I give this place a 10/10 if your in the Philly area do not miss out. This is a black owned business so definitely go support !!!!!!!!

Oddly I wanted a lobster roll with out the roll but still went with the soup anyway. But, he said he could do that. The soup was pretty good. We do not get a lobster roll when we visited. After driving around for 20 minutes to find parking I called and they had not received my order. Uber Eats or Door Dash must be the preferred. Or call! Anywho, Uber Eats delivered. It was cold. I don't believe the other lobsters rolls I had were cold. These were and still good. Maybe they are warm if you pick up ‍ They give ample portions and the butter is on the side. Three ramekins! One for each roll. I only needed one for all three. Note to self: always ask for butter on side. The shrimp roll was packed. Thankful because the baby shrimp were baby. The lobster roll was about 1 claws worth. It was the crab that shocked me. Overflowing with crab meat. Everything was fresh. The bread was soft and buttered. I didn't taste much 'seasoning' it was well 'flavored' and covered in oregano (?) I would return. It's a cute little spot that is in the basement of a building. I didn't go in, I know the area well. Great phone voice, by the way. We walked to the restaurant during the purported "heat dome" weekend. Fortunately, the air conditioning is pristine. We sat at the oyster bar and recommend you do so too. Our waiter was great. We should have caught his name but didn't. Either way, he was a real one. P spotted some absolute babe across the bar and asked our waiter what she was drinking. Important side note: attractive people dine here, but not in an intimidating way if you're a normie. Turns out it was a mocktail from the Zero Proof menu. We don't judge. Our waiter then turned us on to an OG move: order a mocktail and add booze. P got the Pink Drink and added vodka. J ordered a Bee's Knees and a Firing Squad. All above average. Anyway, we created an oyster flight and got two of each, working our way across the Eastern Seaboard. The house sauce was fantastic and incorporated some sort of onion and horseradish combination. We don't pretend to understand what that sorcery was, but keep doing it. Create your own GD oyster flight. You won't regret it. We also ordered some shrimp cocktail and shared the lobster roll sandwich. We forgot to take pics, but the generic photo attached is actually how it looks. Not a bad bite. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungover people who took IR Adderall before the walk. We lingered for a while and they don't push you out. Ended up ordering a couple IPAs. They started shucking oysters to prepare for the dinner crowd, which is neat to watch when you're on the spectrum like us. Also, the walls are covered in different oyster plates. We spent about 20 minutes discussing which one was our favorite. We landed on a green one. It's a real vibe lifter of a joint. Brought us back to life. 10/10.

Unfortunately, the service is what really brought the rating down. For a restaurant where you're spending around $50 per person, I expected much better service. My glass stayed empty for long periods of time, and it took forever just to get our waitress to come back to the table. I was dressed in sports gear since I'm visiting from out of town, and I couldn't help but feel like maybe we were judged based on how we were dressed instead of being given the same level of service as everyone else. I can't say for sure that was the case, but that's how the experience made me feel. The oysters were great, but when you're paying these prices, the service should match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, it didn't during my visit.

The aesthetic of the restaurant is very cute. My waiter was nice as well. I ordered the Old Dog, New Tricks cocktail to start - good but weak and mostly ice. I got the roasted oysters as well but didn't like the flavor at all and found them to be quite salty. The main reason I'd been wanting to come here was for the Mafaldine Alla Vodka which I ordered alongside the Kimono Racer cocktail. Boy, what an odd cocktail, wasn't for me at all but I did know it was a risky choice, so that's on me. The pasta fell so flat - lacking in crab and I found pieces of shell. The sauce was too sweet. Just quite a boring dish. Not sure if I just hit it on a bad night as this place seems to have generally good reviews but I unfortunately won't be returning.
