We would be first on Sunday. Sunday comes , receptionist calls again at 5:22pm and says that someone is still scheduled to come out. Now it's 8pm, no one has showed up. No one has called. I've been waiting two days now for someone to show up. Company couldn't provide a window for service because the company has no idea if and when a tech will be available. Don't waste your time this company they will use your need for Repair against you! Warning, if you are in a pinch get off this AC company and keep looking. Keefe's I have used a couple times and at first they seemed reliable but then they went into a bizarre sales pitch to convince me to get a year "contract". I stupidly took them up on this expensive offer and don't really hear from them again even when I brought it up to another tech for my other unit. On that unit we are told that we need a new condenser costing nearly 5k, and lucky us we can finance it (oddly at a much higher credit limit). That 5k unit clearly didn't fix it (oops) so they say they have to redo some pipe, add 2k suddenly to that loan. This happens at the beginning of the pandemic where I ask no less than four times to do the servicing for the other unit since we are paying $6000 to have a new unit installed on the other side. They refused, now here we are in the heat of the summer and no income and it stops working due to not being serviced, perfect, I have a service "contract". We call and they say that they can get a tech there for $80 and the lady on the phone groaned and says the because we pay for the service plan we can have him come at $79. $79 we get a whole one dollar discount for the 400+ dollar plan they don't even uphold. Then the lady on the phone tells us that she will have him come immediately, next Monday, in the heat of summer Not to mention it is broken down because it was not serviced back in March when they were in our house. We are currently Unemployed due to the pandemic and now buying a window unit so our renter has some relief for $500. I am also contacting our lawyer over this. They do not honor their contracts. I called these guys in April. They were really responsive and someone came out pretty quickly. He took a look at my AC and said he had enough info to put together a quote to replace it. Then, I was ghosted. Fast forward a month and a half later, about 4 phone calls from me trying to get the quote, and a final call today - the guy never put the quote together and had nothing to offer me except a new tech visiting at an inconvenient time. Never received the quote to replace my ac unit. Salesman came out August 2. After not receiving it August 13, I followed up. I was told it would be emailed to my husband -- nothing received. I called yesterday, and was told it would be emailed -- nothing received. When I called today, I was told the quote had not been entered in the system and another salesman would have to come out to look at the system to give me a quote. Called Keefe's for a new whole house A/C system quote. Elden arrived in front of my house at the appointment time, which was my only indicator that he was from Keefe's, as he had no company logo on the vehicle, he had no keefe's logo on his clothing, no keefe's logo on his clipboard and when I asked for a business card "he was out". He briefly looked over my existing system and asked me what kind of system I wanted. I asked him what was the best one, he replied with the first of many sarcasms "the one installed correctly". He would not answer a direct question about what I needed as far as tonnage, return air placement, vent placement. He said that would all be figured out by algorithms. He then spent about 30 minutes bragging about how great THE $24,000 A/C system was that he put in his house and shared a few other of his useless life wisdoms. At this point I still do not know if he works for Keefe's or is some kind of scam artist. After playing games with me for 45 minutes he says, just tell him how much I want to spend and he will put together a system for that price....What a Horrible expierence. My MAIN CONCERN is the RETURN of my Deposit of $2,000 personal check that I gave to Jeremy early September 2021 for the installation and sale of our Briggs & Stratton 20 KW Generator. Since October I had been texting their Sales Rep, Jeremy, asking about our installation. He knew that I have the funds and NO LENDER will be involved. Neither Mark nor Tori would return my calls. I received a phone call from a third party, a different electric company, and was told that they were handed this business by Mark from Keefe's. No explanation was given. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF MY CHECK FOR $2,000. I DON'T RECOMMEND KEEFE'S! I do recommend that you get SEVERAL bids and select the one you want. I'm hoping that I won't have to drag my legal team into this matter. If I can give a less than One Star Review, I would do it. These people have left me out to dry, without the courtesy of an explanation or a phone call. Will never deal with this business again! Our office had them come out last year and they signed us up for a maintenance plan. I called yesterday and asked if they could come out to check on a problem we were having in one of the rooms, and a nice lady who had to keep putting me on hold to talk to her manager, told me that we owed them $400+ dollars because our maintenance plan was cancelled for no-payment. Turns out the card they were using was stolen so another card was issued. No one called (they said they did, but no one did), emailed or even sent notification of any kind that our contract was being cancelled. We had no idea and had even just spent over $11,000 with them at the owner's condo because we had what we still thought was a good relationship with them. I told them we would pay the amount we owed for the monthly rates, but they wanted to charge for discounts they had previously given. Even though we wanted to remain in a service plan. (Oh, and they never came out for the 6 month maintenance so it isn't like they did anything at all during the year. We had other work going on so we didn't realize they hadn't come out.) The girl I spoke with yesterday wouldn't let me speak to a manager. So a manager was supposed to call me back and never did. This morning when I called back to speak with a manager I was given the run around and the receptionist said well it says you already talked to a manager. I told her no, I spoke with a lady that kept putting me on hold while she went to speak to her manager. I spent at least 20 minutes on hold yesterday and got nothing accomplished. The initial technician, Nathan, that came out, on time, was great. Took pictures of everything to show us the problem and explained it well. My wife and I decided to get a while new system based on what was wrong. HOWEVER, the next guy that came out to give us prices was just like a used car salesman, but we decided on a system. First, the had the wrong address on the financing contract. Second, called Keefe's about the address issue and was told it would be fixed and read off the correct address to me while I was on the phone. Then was told a guy was going to come out to measure my house, between 5 and 6, this was @ 2:30pm. Called @ 6:30pm, and of course get an answering service. I was told they would get in touch with the "on-call" guy and get back to me. I have yet to receive a call back and it's 7:45pm. I know no one is coming out this late and probably not Sunday either, so how can I possibly be scheduled for installation on Monday?!? I'll deal with a hot house for a couple days, because I'm not signing the contract and getting someone else to do the work. We love Keefe's, and especially our Service Technician, John! We live in an old, rustic home on the bayou in Slidell, with an ancient AC/Heat system. Keefe's has been keeping our system running (sometimes with a noticeable "limp") for years, and always seems to manage to save us dollars! They are prompt and courteous, and offer good advice. Currently in the process of updating our home, we are completely comfortable with the suggestions that John has made for our new system. Can't say enough nice things! read more

Rock Solid Fast service with a technician more interested in making sure we got what was best as opposed to selling us everything under the sun. It ended up we needed a new air conditioning unit , so we got one that looks like it will save us on the energy bill. During the install they were on time and very neat. I had used Keefe's a few times for service. They got the job done, but the service tech should have told me how much the R-22 freon would cost before recharging my system. (I've been dealing with a leaky coil for a few years. This year the cost jumped significantly - $400 to $750 for the same amount of R-22. Had I known I was going to be allowing $750 to leak into the atmosphere, I would have said "time for a new system.") The freon that they put into my system in May 2018 only lasted two months. I decided it was time to get a new system when it was apparent the freon was gone and the blower motor broke. When did it break? During this bad heat wave July 2018! I requested that a "Comfort Specialist" come discuss options for a new system. Nelson was sent out that very next day. He looked over everything and provided me one option - quoted me their lowest SEER system, and padded with the need for new electrical. (I say that as the contractor I hired said the existing wiring was fine because the new unit would not be drawing as much power as the system I currently have.) What I resented was that it appeared that the Comfort Consultant made an assumption I would go with what ever would be lowest cost option - 14 SEER, single speed AC unit, etc.. Big problem was that he did not provide options after I asked for them! I found him quite condescending, too. Did not stop to truly respond to my questions, just went on with what appeared to be a canned presentation. I had been researching SEER ratings, single stage vs two stage vs variable speed AC units, etc. Did I mention I'm a single woman? A competitor came the next day. Looked at everything. Asked him about the need for upgraded wiring. He did not consider it necessary. Worked up three different proposals. I went with the 17 SEER, two stage AC unit. (Of course all of the quotes I received also included the gas furnace with blower and the coils.). Bottom line, I'm spending a more money, but getting a more efficient system. The contractor also brought over two window units and installed them to cool my home until they come next week to install my new system. (The company I hired told me, without asking, they would bring ACs to cool the house until they install the new system. The "Comfort Specialist" did not offer. I did ask him if they, too, would provide window units if I went with them and I got a mumbled "sure".) read more

I have a contract with Keefe's to maintain my two air-conditioning units. They do an amazing job keeping them running. Today one of the units that is 20 years old developed a problem and John Boeck came to repair it. He not only repaired the broken unit quickly but in addition he explained our choices with clarity. John was incredibly pleasant and clearly was very good at his job. The management at Keefe must be doing an outstanding job at recruiting, training and retaining their people. I give them two stars because they showed up. Salesman was a nice guy with some knowledge. However, his quotes for Lennox good, better, and best complete systems tear out and install (2.5 and 3.0 ton) were almost to the penny TWICE the price of Trane, American Standard, Rheem. All other quotes were supplied by what I consider to be reputable, established companies in the area (I've lived in St Tammany 40+ years) and every one of them inspected both of my systems before quotes. Keefe's wanted to charge $88.00 to send a technician out to inspect and quote both systems. I refused as nobody else charges for quotes of complete systems. The salesman was no charge, so I said send him out. He did look (not inspect) at them. I told him in the beginning all I want is to pull out old and install complete new systems. He quoted via email later and prices were over the top. So, I called the sales rep and asked if he made a mistake on his quote regarding $26K to $36K prices and he assured me that the numbers were correct. My advice is to not waste your time. Total run around. We had been hiring Keefe's for the past 15 years for A/C work at our house. When we had to replace the system, Keefe's handled the installation. Not sure what changed, but we are sorely disappointed in Keefe's services at this time. We have spent a month trying to get duct work replaced and have had visits by 3 different technicians, who arrive, look at the issue (which we explained thoroughly and in detail when making the appointments on the phone), only to tell us they are not equipped to do the work and that another appointment needs to be made. We call and make a new appointment, then have to follow up to make sure a tech actually comes, only to have a dud appointment. WE HAVE HAD THREE SITE VISITS. I had an experience similar to what Jeff R. described in his review. The sales tech came out, spent about 3-4 minutes looking at the existing unit, and then told me they do specialized testing to determine exactly what a new installation should be in our home before he could give me a quote. The catch, we'd have to commit to using them or shell out $800 for said test. Since I wasn't jumping at the opportunity to enlist their services right then and there, he said something along the lines of "we have plenty of business, so we're all good if you don't hire us". This is tantamount to going to an auto dealership and having the saleman tell you that you have to commit to buying a car from him before he even shows you any inventory or pricing. If you agree to those terms, you'll have to buy your way out of that commitment if you don't like what you see. I'm disappointed I wasted time calling them instead of another contractor to get a valid quote. read more

Whole house backup generator install, great service from estimate to startup. Always got a quick, courteous follow up call from Kacie on scheduling and Rodney on maintencance, and patient answers to any questions I had. They have there own electricians and gas technicians for install, startup, and maintenance--don't use subcontractors like competitor estimates I received, which is another advantage of Keefe's. Very reassuring to experience a company who is so thorough and backs up thier work 110%++. read more

My A/C was not cooling properly of course in June when you need it the most and after getting home from work. My pets were in hot air inside most of the afternoon and the temps were 90 outside and inside was 80. I had the A/C set for 72 and it was reading 80!! I called Keefe's Air Conditioning and Heating after hours immediately and they could have had come that evening/night but it always COSTS more AFTER HOURS or on WEEKENDS so I waited for the next day to have them come out and check the unit. A/C repair can be costly so I was willing to wait it out. It happened to have rained so it cooled things off a tiny tad. Keefe's has a secretary service after hours that answers, then they take a message to have someone from the company call who is on-call. The person on-call with Keefe's called me right away and was nice as can be over the phone. His name is Gracion W., Field Service person. He scheduled me down for a appointment in the morning. He was willing to come out after hours but I knew it cost more so he scheduled a appointment in the morning for me. Jasmine H., Office Staff person with Keefe's called me in the morning and scheduled someone to come out that morning. Chris D. was the Field Service person that came out. He was awesome from the time he greeted me at the door, during the visit and gave me some helpful advise and taught me a few things on the A/C. He was professional and nice during and after fixing my A/C issue. I gave him 2 water bottles because it was soo hot and he had to go in the attic. I mentioned to him with his skills and teaching method, he could teach a class. Thankfully my A/C just needed to be drained and blown out. From the time I made the call to the appointment and the actual end of the appointment, every person that handled the appointment and service were completely nice and professional. Jasmine called me throughout the appointment time, to when someone was coming to my door to after the visit ended. She was so nice and clear sounding on the phone. Shout out to Gracion W., Jasmine H. and Chris D. I'd highly recommend them. Thai Nguyen used to work there and he is awesome too. It also helped me to have a yearly maintenance plan in which I get a small discount on appointment service and parts. A/C is running cool to cold now and hopefully will the rest of the summer. You can count on Keefe's Air Conditioning & Heating to come out when you need them to. They are reliable, nice and professional. FYI - Always compare prices and get at least 3 estimates from 3 different companies and see how well informed staff & sales people are and on how they treat you when purchasing a new A/C & Heating unit or anything you buy that is a big purchase. Save yourself all this hustle and call Keefe's, they went all out, I told her I needed like now otherwise I keep on calling people, told me this is the last place you are going to call and told me they will be there in the afternoon, not exactly when but assured they will be there, called ahead to let you know that someone was on the way, the technician shows up, puts some booties over his work boots before he enters your house, a definitive touch of a first class operation, lacking a part he calls the office and it's delivered to him and while he waits he jury rigs the AC so the house starts cooling, the part is here, problem ac solved. So professional that I signed up for their yearly maintenance. He even checked to make sure the ac was under warranty and saved me some money. I called. They came. I paid the 88 dollar house call fee. Then I was told I had a leak and I would need to pay the 212 dollar fee to FIND the leak...THEN I would be told how much it would COST to actually fix the leak but it could vary. I immediately felt I was being taken for a ride as we say.... I paid the guy the 88 dollar fee, gave him my birth date and DL number for the check i wrote...then he told me HE HAD TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION as if I were not being honest. I complied. I will NEVER use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone!!! We had to have our whole unit replaced which was right at $8000. They had to take down the attic stairs to get the new unit in. Once the job was "finished" they asked my husband if he could put the stairs back in. He told them no and asked if they would. After reinstalling the attic stairs, they left dirt all over the floor below and on my living room floor leading outside. I spoke with a rep at the office and she said "They weren't supposed to take the stairs down. They should have stopped the job and called out a contractor, so they did you a favor!" I have had problems with my thermostat since the installation of the new unit and they wanted to charge me $85 just to come out and that didn't go towards any labor. I am so disappointed with the experience I just had with Keefe's. I requested someone come out to give me an estimate A salesperson came out an estimate was given and an installation date selected. I gave my cc info and my card was charged. A technician came the following day(Friday 1pm) to measure the property and finalize all installation details. 6pm I'm reviewing email and I receive an email with a voided cc transaction nothing else. Called Keefe's they stated cc cancelled because job was a 2 day job not a 1 day job which by the way was scheduled for next day which was Saturday. When were the going to call me! I called sales person who was agitated that I called his cell. Said he'd call me the next day the office was closed. Here it is Monday after. No call no text no email!!! It's 5:15pm. I called the office 30 minutes ago and the girl answering phone stated no one there to take my complaint. They leave st 3 or 4. REALLY !!! It's July and the height of their busy season and managers/supervisor leave early!!! Wow never again!!! Keefe this is poor business !!!
