Fried cod. Overdone and rubbery.
DJ W.

We ordered the fish and chips and the pot roast Philly cheese steak. We waited half an hour to get our food even though it wasn't that busy. We got home and the roast beef was tough and hard to chew. The fried cod looked really dark and over fried. The fish itself was rubbery and didn't flake like it should've. The only thing that was good were the tater tots. $40 order and we should've just went toTaco Bell. It would've been better tasting and worth the money. I sincerely hope this location reads their reviews and tries to improve.

We've been coming here for a decade. Food is consistently good and locals abound. Only negative is service can be slow at times and irs loud when they have live music - but hey, we choose to come in during those times so that is on us. The things they do well: tater tots, Reuben's, salad, seared ahi, Irish spring rolls, Finnegans fry.

Keegan's in Kennesaw is an Irish pub nestled in the center of a plaza in Kennesaw. We found parking during dinner rush on Friday eve and were immediately greeted by the hostess as we walked through the door. They had two tables left at dinner - a high top in the bar or patio. Easy to choose patio since it was beautiful outside. The patio had lots of empty space but the chairs were pollen dusted and a bit paint worn. The waiter visited our table several times and checked on us through the experience. A waitress also did- great service experience. Service :A+ Drinks: Diet Coke in large mason jars, Guinness, half-and-half, raspberry lemon drop martini and a chocolate leprechaun martini. all A+++ Apps: fried pickles and bar nachos -solid, fresh. Dinner : Fish & Chips, Deluxe Grilled Cheese All crispy and came out as we finished apps - everything was just as we expected

shepherd's pie

I visited while travelling on work in Marietta after a long day. The place was fairly quiet in the late evening, and most of the crowd seemed to be regulars. They've got a big, beautiful bar and the food is probably above average as far as these places go as it seems to lean into being a restaurant more than a hangout. I ordered the shepherd's pie and Irish spring rolls -- the latter was pretty good. The former was alright -- there's nothing wrong with it, but shepherd's pie is often a bit of a bland dish and there wasn't anything elevating it from that. Service was good, the bartender probably let me hang around a little beyond normal hours, so that was appreciated. Overall, would recommend for a place to relax and drink a couple of beers on a weeknight.

St Patrick's weekend! Loud inside but beautiful night we could sit outside! Came Friday night before it was crazy on weekend... Enjoyed everything!

Great little pub to have a drink and bite to eat. I stopped by for a late lunch snack and had the smothered tots. Not great for you, but definitely taste great. The service is friendly, fast and the place is full of regulars so you know it's good if they keep coming back.

The atmosphere has that rare "Cheers" vibe where everyone seems to know each other, but somehow they make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff genuinely cares about the customers, not in a forced corporate way, but in a real, personal way that you don't see very often anymore. You can tell there is a lot of pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. The food is just as impressive. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor, tasted homemade, and the portions were more than fair. It is the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and already thinking about what you want to try next time. Add in the fun crowd, relaxed energy, and the feeling that you are part of the community while you are there, and this place becomes more than just a bar or restaurant. It feels like a local tradition. We will definitely be back, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for great food, great people, and a place that actually feels alive.

They have live music performers from time to time, trivia nights, and just generally overall a great pub vibe. The Reuben is a classic that my partner and I love, Shepherd's pie, Scotch egg with the accompanying side salad, and the burgers. I haven't tried all of the entrees, but I'm slowly working through the menu. Their cocktails are also pretty yummy. I am personally not vegetarian, but one of my friends who is said their black bean burger was the best they've ever had. On my last visit I tried the fish and chips for the first time and being someone who for their entire life avoided seafood but is trying to expand their pallette, this surprised me. I would actually go back for more. The serving sizes are more than generous I think, and as as a person with an average, not two large appetite, I typically have leftovers for another meal which reheat pretty well. Overall, this is a regular location that we frequent since there's something for everybody and it's just nice enough to feel like a night out, but just relaxed enough to feel like there are no expectations.

Started with a black and tan and it was poured perfectly. We shared a hummus plate for an appetizer, and this was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was homemade and fresh. The hummus was probably the best we had ever had and the pickled veggies were outstanding! Had the Smashburger and fries. Burger was juicy and very tasty but the star of the show on this plate was definitely the fries: thick, hand-cut fries - what every restaurant should have instead of the frozen, bagged variety. Hats off to the chef for amazing food, the owner for capturing the essence of Ireland, and our server, Liam, for being an excellent host!

I ordered the pub smash burger and my friend got the Irish grilled cheese. My burger was good. The Irish grilled cheese was awesome. I would probably order that next time but there's other things on the menu I want to try too! We both liked their fries. For the drinks, we ordered the blueberry & pineapple don sour and the blackberry margarita. Both of them were really good. Our server was awesome. It seemed like a bit of a one woman show for a while there lol - she was greeting, hostessing, serving, and bartending. I can't remember her name exactly but she had blonde hair that was a little bit shy of shoulder length and she was very friendly. Whoever that was, give her a raise haha. She was quick and we liked her vibes. The food took a little bit of time but it was also a dead part of the afternoon and everything came out piping hot so definitely fresh/cooked to order. I'm willing to wait for that :) this is a place you come to enjoy, not eat fast and leave. The prices were reasonable, the menu was expansive, and the parking was plentiful since it's downtown and there are a good bit of spots around. The location is convenient and you can walk around afterward. The inside was beautiful; I loved the ambiance of it. Oh and last but not least - bathroom was nice and clean!! The cobb salad is FABULOUS all by itself let alone paired with the St. James Burger. Cheers!

This time we came after hiking all day and sat outside with our dogs. Ambiance-touristy Irish pub. It's a big place that still tries to be Irish-ish. They fail but it's a worthwhile effort and people seem to like it. One issue with the design-it's a huge place but they have 2-single person bathrooms-one next to the bar and one on the second floor. I don't even understand how you get a building permit with that occupancy and so few bathrooms. My wife and I each got a burger, sub veggie patty. They are getting 2 stars for the fact they don't upcharge for the vegan patty. Everyone upcharges for a veggie burger, so this is an impressive give-a-way to customers. However, I added mushrooms and roasted red peppers, which added $2 each, and gluten free sandwich bread, which was a $5 upcharge. First, those veggies should not be a $2 upcharge each. That's obnoxious. Your menu burgers have toppings and are cheaper than a plain burger with 2 veggies. But, I am not taking stars away for the upcharge. I saw them, I accepted them. My problem is that with those changes, this was a $25 burger at an Irish pub in north GA and it tasted like a $5 burger from an Irish pub in north GA. It was dry, unseasoned, and very bland. You charged me $5 for 2 slices of bread from a loaf that costs $7.99 retail. A red pepper is $0.75 cents, maybe, retail, and for a couple teaspoons you charged me $2. Who knows what mushrooms cost, but the point is, for two toppings and sub 2 slices of sandwich bread, you charged me for a high-end steakhouse burger and served me a terrible backyard grill burger. On top of that, I ordered a whiskey (knob creek) on the rocks. On my check was a $2 rocks charge. So...you charged me $2 for ice? It makes no sense. It's the same amount of liquor. When I asked the server about it, she said because they pour an extra 2 ounces in. Obviously she lied because she had no clue what she was talking about. First, why would adding ice equal and extra 2 ounces? Maybe if I asked for an up martini or something, but I am adding volume, so why would you also add liquor? Second, my whiskey was $13 and a restaurant shot is 1, maybe 1.5 ounces. Do you really mean to tell me you gave me an extra 2 shots, maybe an extra 1.33 shots of a $13 liquor for $2 only because I asked for ice? I'm not an idiot. So, poor food, lying service, and unreasonable upcharges. I'm not coming back
