We stopped in on a day that all burgers were on special. The meal was delicious. But we were caught off guard by the smoke. It was thick. Being from out of town, we were not aware that it us 21 and up, smoking allowed. We'd probably not go back if in the area for that reason. Neighborhood kinda spot where you can tell most are regulars. It was late after a show and I always forget this area locks up food service at 10pm, so we wound up here. Zero frills kinda ambience playing the football games, yet killer customer service and the guys behind the bar kept everything moving and checked in. First of all this is the best shrimp pasta I've ever had in my life, and I've travelled internationally. After the first time I tried it, I went back again and ordered it two days later and I'm not the type of person to want the same meal twice in the same week. The food tastes that much better because the bartenders are so kind every time I walk in to pick up my food. They are patient, kind and attentive. My husband and I absolutely adore this spot. We've never had a bad dish here and always walk out saying "This place has no right to be so good". We've gotten their burgers, ribeye (can't beat $18!), fajitas, Cajun pasta, Cubano, nachos, wings, mozzarella sticks, salads, potato wedges, and countless other things without even a hint of disappointment. Sure, it's not a place to bring your kids but that's part of what we love and why they opened the pizza place next door. The drinks are poured well and the beers are always ice cold. Food was outstanding, beer was nice and cold, the prices were surprisingly reasonable and can't say enough good things about all of the dishes we tried. Service was great, but know that they ARE busy, so amidst the hustle, we definitely were taken care of. Two out of three of us were non smokers, so as long as you can get past a smoking establishment, it's dynamite! A little error in the bill, quickly taken care of, was the only issue we had all night. First off, this is a smoking establishment. And it is a seat yourself. If you don't want the smoke in your face, go next door to the pizza place(this is the nonsmoking side) The server was great, and it seemed like she was the only one taking care of about 8-10 tables. We just went here for apps. The nachos were done right. I had all the toppings, and they put the jalapeños on the side. It was nice if you had people in the group that did not like them. The highlight was the pretzel and cheese sauce. Pretzels were hot, crispy, and light and pillowy in the middle. And the amount of cheese sauce they gave was not a tiny thimble like other places. Even though they are right next to each other with very similar names, this establishment is *not* the same as Ralph's Zucca Pizzeria. Now that distinction has been made, the food is pretty good (although I wouldn't recommend the fries) and it's very reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive and understanding about whatever we needed. The inside is pretty clean, but they do allow smoking indoors, so if you don't like that you may want to go elsewhere. I had the chicken Philly, and my wife had the burger...we agreed that we would definitely go back based on the quality at such a low cost. After the tip our lunch and drinks still came in under $35, which is almost impossible to find at a sit down restaurant these days. read more

A spontaneous decision to do the ScoutMob thing led us here. First of all, I have to say that staff was very nice and provided some really good suggestions about our orders. Overall service was very very fast. But in general, I am turned off by overly smoky environments. And I should've known that this place, away from the confines of any of Atlanta's no smoking ordinances, would be full of smoke. Having said that, it's clear that Ralph's is a comfortable, neighborhood dive, which is home to many regulars. Low-maintenance seems to be the name of the game, right down the cigarette burns on the vinyl-covered tables. In general, I'm a fan of low-maintenance. But I'm somehow not a fan of burned vinyl. We had the burger (which was good), and the chicken philly (which seemed rather average). But there are plenty of other options on the menu to explore. And I'd be happy to explore them. But the smoke thing just isn't for me. read more

We went there a second time tonight. Not bad either time. My biggest complaint was the tobacco smoke. I have a mild allergy to the smoke and went into a sneezing fit. Gag. Immediately regretted it after eating the hamburger my husband literally went to through up from being sick to his stomach because of how nasty it was. My first time visiting this place and would never return because MARK (the bartender) was very rude. I placed a large order of wings and repeated twice to make sure he has received the order correctly and once I was there to pick up the order the order was incorrect and he was so upset he started to talk to other customers about the issue and put the blame on me. Found this place via my fave app of all time....Scoutmob! We thought that were in the area but we weren't lol it was worth the drive. This place is hidden inside of a shopping plaza right off the highway. The scene seemed a little sketchy - super smoky bar, everyone looking at you like you don't belong there. Eh, we drove this far, might as well see what the food tastes like. I got a little nervous looking at the menu. It was your typical bar food. I didn't see any vegetarian options so I opted for the fish tacos. We started off with the buffalo shrimp. GOOOOOODNESS! There were the tastiest buff shrimp I've ever had. I had already placed my entrée order. I was hoping that the fish tacos were just as good. They weren't. The were as bland as they could be, so I asked for the buffalo sauce that came on the shrimp. Now back to those shrimp. They were FRESH, battered and fried to perfection then tossed in this red-orange yummy goodness of a buffalo sauce and accompanied by some good ole bleu cheese. We had a couple of brewskies and watched the baseball game on the tv that was arched over our table. I really wanted to order some shrimp to go. But there was no way that they could've made it back home it tip-top condition so we flashed the Scoutmob app on the phone and the manager came over to the table to bring us the final check. He asked how everything was and if we had ever been there before. I told you, this really looked like a bar on Cheers. We didn't look familiar. We told him that it was our first time. We went here twice, to give them the benefit of a doubt. The food is mediocre, but the portions are large. The biggest issue this place has is VERY poor service. We ate here, and once the food was served our waitress disappear. I had to literally get up and walk to the kitchen to ask for service and the check. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a smoked up room odor. No greeting. Dimly lit, and umpteen dirty TV's blaring. Don't look at the ceiling, as you will be grossed out. It is in SERIOUS need of cleaning. Frankly, how this place passed a health inspection is beyond me. The floor was dirty, and so was the silverware. The tables are covered in vinyl, which is decorated by dozens of cigarette holes. And they were sticky. So, two visits, and I'd say they failed miserably. If you just want to cozy up to a dirty, sticky, smokey bar, this is your place. read more

One word: oysters. Sit at the bar, order the oysters, eat said oysters and repeat. I can't explain why the oysters on the half-shell are so good at an otherwise lackluster establishment in Kennesaw; I just know that they are. Ralph's also has fairly tasty and slightly overpriced seafood pasta, but its deliciousness pales in comparison with the oysters. The bartenders here are hit or miss. They're always friendly, but the service can be absent-minded at best. Ralph's regulars are a bit in-your-face. They're almost friendly to the point that you fear they may just try to get you to join a cult. I do not smoke but enjoy the staff and food so much that I can over look it. They recently opened Zucca pizza next door that is non smoking. Their pizza and Italian menu is awesome. This is one of those places where the food and the staff are kinda bland but you keep going back anyway. After all it is a bar and bars are really meant for consuming large amounts of booze and then stepping slobbering drunk into a parking lot so your DD can take you home. This is my GO-TO place!! Friendly and funny staff, plenty of TVs to watch any and all games, and the FOOD! The food is way higher quality than your average bar!
