After a house fire I chose to keep it safe as my storage facility for my remaining belongings. All was well until I asked to defer my automatic pay for 3 days. (single mom, during the pandemic, an extra $160 bill a month). That seemed to be putting Rick out and was very obviously irritated. Never once in the 6 months had I missed or been late on a payment. This somehow took me off auto pay. 2 months later budgeting I realize "huh, i haven't seen a charge for the storage bill in awhile" Call and fix what could have been non payment to them. Pay for the current month and partially for a month before as my budget couldn't afford to pay 3 months at a time. Never asked to stop auto pay. The rudeness I experienced on the phone today was jaw-dropping. Him interrupting, could not wait 60 seconds for me to find where I stored my Unit # (i rarely go), made me feel as though maybe this unit wasn't mine, would not answer my question of how late i could come again since it had been a while and not a regular thing for me to frequent the storage and then was hung up on. I called back to ask the employee's name and they said I will not give it to you. Well after my trip to the unit I see it was Rick. I am just shocked at the way I was spoken to and treated. I will be looking for another storage facility and more available later hours is something I will need moving forward as well. Please if anyone has any recommendations it is appreciated! read more

Rick and Angie run a business based in integrity, fairness, and doing their utmost to help you with a storage unit that will best serve your needs. Personally speaking, I have been with Keep-It Self Storage for quite a number of years. The couple times I have needed to "relocate" my belongings into another appropriately-sized unit on the premises, Rick and Angie have been right there to give me a hand - LITERALLY - in physically helping me to move things from one unit to another. I simply cannot say enough about their positive attitude and genuine willingness to make it right for their customers. THIS IS TRULY WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT!! After some not so great experiences with other local storage places, I am so happy that I found this awesome spot! Rick the manager was helpful, personable, and made the whole experience so much easier! The facilities are immaculate and exceptionally maintained. It wasn't an issue to find the space I needed, as I've found with other storage places. Price wise, these guys are about the best in town. I expected far less for the price, so I was pleasantly surprised. The process and the paperwork went pretty quick and efficient, so unlike a certain other competitor run by a cat person! Also, the doggos onsite, Luna and Lola are adorable! My expectations for customer service tend to be pretty low for Grass Valley, but I am so glad to be wrong. Keep-It Self Storage at 12908 Loma Rica Drive is the best storage in Grass Valley- Nevada City. The prices are substantially less than storage in the area including Penn Valley, when I needed one last Fall (2018). The units are clean and dry. More than that the manager Rick Larsen was very helpful. I got the size I needed and he arranged an automatic payment plan that let avoid late fees, etc. When I was ready to move out, Rick helped me through the process in under an hour including packing my truck. (Rick didn't help with the packing for insurance and other reasons.) I absolutely recommend Keep-It Storage as long as it continues to have Rick Larson as manager. read more

Excellent customer service, very helpful and exceptional understanding during the pandemic. I have been with Keep-It storage for about a year now. Very clean and well ran facility. Rick is amazing! I recently lost my keys to my unit and when I went into the office and asked to borrow the lock cutters Rick laughed, he said "I'll do it for you". Within five minutes he was at my unit and had my lock cut off AND he didn't even charge me a fee. Most storage competitors charge a $50 fee min but not here! Excellent customer service Rick! Amazing customer service & great pricing! My husband and I were having some difficulty w money after an emergency expense came up, and we were SO afraid that after a mo th we would lose our RV.I.called and spoke with Rick and he said there was NO problem and not to worry. He said due to the virus, they were not charging late fees to try to help people out. I'm from Sacramento where everyone is so "cut throat " now a days.
