This place is a legitimate hole in the wall. I think the only way to access this restaurant is through the back alley behind the shell. It looks like a blue house! When you see it, that's how you know you are there. What amazed me about this place is that it looks completely out of place in Miami: dark, small, dollar bills hanging out every where. I don't know why I was so taken aback by this. Anyway I sat at the bar and you could see the extend of the kitchen: just a small grill and a fryer. We came on a Sunday night around 9 pm and the place was medium filled. Parking was ok, I was able to find one, but I would imagine on days that it gets packed it would be harder. So since this place is a dive hole in the wall, you get dive/hole in the wall kind of service, which is fine! It is NOT fine dining, but instead a cool spot to hang out. What I really appreciated was their beer selection. Not only did they have the typical Bud, miller, and Yuengling, they also had some of the towns best local breweries on draft, including Veza Sur, the Tank, and Goose Island. Tank's Freedom Tower is one of my favorites, so I ordered that and it cost $5.50, which I believe is cheaper than the price you can get at the actual brewery itself in Doral. The only food I ordered is chicken wings because I would consider myself a chicken wing fanatic. Regardless, their menu is fairly limited. They only have on style that they call special grilled which is kind of like a bbq style spicy. They are NOT buffalo wings, but I can't complain because they were great! If you've ever had Sports Grill's special grilled, they are similar here, but better! I wish I'd gotten the sweet potato fries because someone else ordered them and they looked soooo delicious. Overall, this place is great if you're looking for a casual place away from all the glitz and glam of Miami. Don't miss out on their wings and beer! read more

When I saw hole in the wall, I mean legit a little hole in the wall but OMG sooo YUMMY!! The wings were the best I've had in a very long time. That had that perfect charred look and taste. Ordered 30 and for full after about 9 lol i might've been a little ambitious. The jalapeño poppers were also amazing! Not too many places make them the way I like (with cream cheese) and these were perfect cooked and delicious! I went on a Sunday afternoon around 4-4:30 & the ambiance was very relaxed. There's a pool table and a couple of arcade games. The service was really good as well. The only downside (for me personally) is that they only serve beer, not liquor. I've been a long time customer of this Keg South which is a hidden gem that can be hard to find tucked away in the back alley behind the Shell gas station on 104th and US1. I love the burgers here that are always made to order and simple but this past visit I came for their to die for wings. Everything about them was perfect-----the cook and flavor on point. I love that they come at 10 or higher which makes them easy to share with friends! I did notice that they were a little different from the past in that they looked a little smaller and don't include the wing part (which I love) but even despite this they were delicious! Awesome Hidden Spot How can you beat this place if you want really want to go to place where the locals hang out? Your lucky if you can find the place on a side service road in an inlet. Great craft beer selection and the place is dark and divey like it should be. They also have my favorite setup, a bar with a grill right behind it so you can see them cooking up food while you drink. Burger was very good and good value for $. Fries were greasy (old oil) , overdone, and arrived after we finished out burgers..... they comped us on the fries. It was a dive, but thats a given; its a place for guys to watch football. Neat ole neighborhood watering hole that's been here forever. Cold brews, great simple menu, nothing exotic just good food. Jalapeno poppers were hot, delicious. Was going to order Keg burger then noticed there was a cobia sandwich, What? Who has that on their menu, SOLD! Great sandwich with a good seriously good piece of cobia. The only reason for leaving a 3 star review is due to the bald headed man taking the orders. When our group arrived. We seated ourselves. We were told to order at the bar and once the food was done to come back and pick it up. No big deal. Once we left we paid our bill individually. The bartender yelled out to one of our group members and asked him if his food was good because he tipped terribly. Speaking so loud everyone in the place heard him. He tipped him $4 on a $18 bill. My gf and I were hungry on slate Monday night and wanted something inexpensive but still good. I had remembered I had bookmarked Keg South awhile ago but hadn't gotten around to stopping by. The location is kind of tucked away in the back of an animal hospital and next to a gas station and you can't really see the entrance from the street, parking is also a little tricky as it's just a small parking lot that only holds a few cars. We finally managed to park in a non-tow zone and walked in. I have to admit, upon first entering I was a little sketched out (and for some reason my girl and I were getting mad looks from some of the other guests) we sat down at a small hightop table and leafed through their small menu. There were numerous TVs playing sports games and some really great music playing from what I suspect was a jukebox. We didn't really get greeted right away, but that was because we failed to read the bottom of the menu that said "PLACE YOUR ORDER AT THE BAR WHEN READY" it wasn't until one of the bartenders said "Hey guys when you're ready just order up here" We ordered their burgers because I heard they were really amazing. Babe got the regular burger, and my gluttonous self opted for the jumbo 1/2 pounder with cheese. Food came out quick and you pick it up at the bar as well. I have got to say this burger was EXCELLENT. Fresh, juicy, perfectly cooked, cheese melted perfectly, toasted bun served in a bed of ruffled potato chips. We also ordered a side of fries and they are hand cut never frozen fresh fries! Really unexpected for such an unassuming place. Decent selection of inexpensive beers on tap with a few local offerings. They serve their beers in small frosty mugs which just adds a nice touch in my opinion. Nothing like eating a delicious burger while sipping beer from a frosty mug. Takes orders, pours drinks, then calls you over to the bar when the food is ready. The bartender there that day was awesome, named Tyler :) One cook on staff so he had a lot to do but still was pretty slow at it. It wasnt thatttt busy. As far as the menu.. meh. I guess Im just not crazy about bar food but they didnt haven many options. Burgers, wings, fries, fish dip, or chicken/fish sandwiches. I got a mahi "salad"... which was just fish on top of a little romaine lettuce and a couple sliced tomatoes. Nothing special to it at all. Wouldnt really consider that a salad, more like fish with lettuce on the side. Any way.. if youre looking for a place to eat a burger or some bar food/beer and hangout this would be a pretty chillin spot. Not too busy.. dark..? if you like that. Pool tables. If you are looking for a watering hole conveniently located on US1 south then stop and find this place. The have almost no footprint on US1 itself so they are hard to find. The main entrance and parking are behind on a side street. Turn on 104th and you will be doing fine. The have great Happy Hour specials to make the already affordable booze... cheap. And it goes for more than an hour so you can get a few in. The food looks tasty. I had a basket of fries that were skin on and thick cut. Just how I like them. They also have an entire wooden basket of hot sauces.. so I sat right next to it and opened and poured more than a few of them! Stay away if you are in heels, wearing lots of makeup, or just got your hair done. This place has ZERO frills. It does not belong in Miami, and that's why I love it. I love their wings! Other items aren't outstanding but when I need wings they've never disappointed. It's not the cleanest location. They had some issues with inspections and have been reprimanded in the past. Not sure it significantly affects their conduct. It's not a Michelin Star restaurant, so I don't expect spotless tables and bathrooms, but they do seem to take some shortcuts. I go there for beer and wings and those are amazing. Parking isn't always easy so you may have to be a little "creative" when their small parking lot is full. read more

I came here for for the first time during lunch break with some of my coworkers and I was not disappointed. We called ahead and explained that we only have 30 minutes of break and wanted our food ready to eat. They told us it would take about 15 minutes. We arrived just as out food was finishing up. They had a large drink selection which was something that stood out for me. I had the 1/3 keg burger with everything on it and some fries. I'm SO PICKY and the food was SO GOOD. I'm impressed. I will definitely be returning, maybe I will try the wings out next time. The cost was extremely reasonable, almost a steal actually. I really really appreciated that they allowed us to order ahead to make full use of our break time, that's really good customer service. If you are looking for a hidden gem in Kendall/Pinecrest area look no further. Keg South is a local neighborhood bar, that is super low-key, and a great place to grab a beer with friends. It is a super casual bar, somewhere you can wear shorts, a t-shirt and sandals. It is very hard to find unless you know it is there. You can't really tell what it is from US1, but if you are Using your GPS and are driving north on US1, turn at the light right after and make the first right onto the back alley street. Just a few doors down you will find Keg South's parking lot which is under a large advertising sign. Their parking lot is small, so be patient and carpool. My favorite thing about Keg South is their food. Their menu is very small, but they have a handful of appetizers, wings, burgers and dogs. And, holy moly, are their burgers delicious!! The meat is SUPER fresh as is the lettuce, tomato and onion they serve with it. It was so tasty I devoured it before I could even snap a pic... We ate here a few nights ago and also ordered the smoked fish dip which was very good, and their wings. I'm not a huge wing fan, but I tried one of the wings and WOW it was very good.
