Mano Libera is one of the best new restaurants I've visited in Coral Gables. From the moment we walked in, everything felt polished but welcoming. The restaurant has a beautiful modern design, and every plate that came out was as impressive visually as it was delicious. The focaccia with whipped ricotta was addictive, the arancini were perfectly crisp, and the pasta tasting was a standout. The tomahawk was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and easily enough to share. Dessert was equally memorable, especially the pistachio creation. What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. We had the opportunity to meet Chef Marco and Carlo, and they couldn't have been more gracious. It's always refreshing to see people who are so passionate about what they're building and who genuinely take the time to connect with guests. Between the food, the presentation, and the hospitality, Mano Libera delivers a complete dining experience. It's absolutely worth a visit if you're in Coral Gables. read more

First time, my son had invited my wife and I 2 weeks ago, mentioned that michelin had noted the restaurant. Webarrived with a reservation and were seated rightaway. The staff accommodated us in a very professional matter. Menu were given and wine list. The waiter came back few minutes after to ask us if we wanted cocktails and we did placed the order. We proceeded to order the starter 3 different starter, charcuterie board, very well displayed seemed to be sliced with a laser but enought for all 4 to sample. Next was the Octopus leg one medium size grilled cut in 3 pieces condiments around , the plate also was balance and the octopus was slightly rubbery but eatable. Last was zucchini and gamblers friti very cleaver tempura, crispness à 10. Main entrée consisted of two filets, one double lame chop, one pasta à la rabbiatta. The temperature requested was MRare and Medium they both both came slightly warm and over cooked and under sized. The garnish was ok artichoke bottom and thin zucchini strip, perhaps something else. I returned the plate and waited for a new one to be cooked it came rare but the meat was tender and I wasn't about to send it back . We order a Bordeaux superior 2019 le tempo D'Angelo to be recommended beautiful wine. We proceed with dessert, tiramos deconstructed small and a Gelato pistachio very good. Order Sauternes but were sent port instead for dessert. Over all the place is good but to contend for a Michelin star Hummm. Price although are Michelin 740 dollars for the meal à bit over done. Hands down the best experience right now in South Miami, you will be transported to Italy. I have to say I mistakenly walked into the wrong restaurant when I dined here and it was the best mixup I've ever experienced. Opted to sit outside as it was a cool night and while sitting on the sidewalk the energy from inside was still present. Everyone from the host to the chef created a seamless and impeccable experience. There was never a need to call over a server to refill a glass of water or wine. The servers were also very knowledgeable of the menu and presented each plate to the table explaining how it should be experienced if the dish required. The food while reminiscent of simple Italian flavors was not simple in creativity and execution. It was a true elevated meal with clear roots in Italian cuisine. Everything from the bread to the inventive tiramisu was delicious. Overall if you are looking to splurge on a meal I would recommend this restaurant any day of the week. read more

I'm torn writing this because the food at Mano Libera was truly amazing. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was top-tier, and the quality of the cooking is undeniable. Unfortunately, the service was equally--and exceptionally--bad. What should have been a standard dinner turned into a three-hour ordeal. We were never served water after the first glass, and staff walked by our table dozens of times without ever stopping to check in, offer another drink, or see if we needed anything. It felt as though our table was invisible. While the long wait for food might have been due to being short-staffed, the lack of basic hospitality and attentiveness made the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. It's a shame when the kitchen is performing at such a high level but the front-of-house isn't keeping pace. I'd love to return for the food, but only if the service management improves. read more

When I was in Italy, my main determinant if I stopped at a restaurant was if they had a Gambero it's a basic symbol that says whether or not a restaurant is legit or not and I was so happy to see that Chef Marco Guigliano brought a gambero to Miami. We came to try Mano Libera's seasonal menu and we could not be in better hands. From the amuse bouche to the stellar drinks like the Love in Portofino and Japan Rising, we were starting very well. The staff was extremely engaging and knowledgeable, they make the experience even more enjoyable. Their bao comes in the most gorgeous plate, carefully holding the bao to perfection and inside is delicious sausage and ricotta cheese. The bite is a gorgeous contrast of the meaty sausage, the refreshing cheese and the slight twinge of sweetness from the bao. Then we had the stuffed zucchini blossom, an explosion of flavor in one bite. Literally. This beef carpaccio is pure art work, layers and layers of the perfect flavors where each transport you in a different way carpaccio, puff pastry, truffles and balsamic pearls. Wow. For a refreshing take came the tuna tartare, they did a great job of adding crunch to every bite with nori chips, wasabi popcorn and lemon caviar. We refreshed with fashion Mano libera which was a gorgeous acknowledgment to a an old fashion but with rum and a delicious orange foam. We then got to try two of their pastas their gorgeous linguine that was packed with zucchini and was so light. But for me... that gnochetti is pure art, it's light but that ragu really stands out in aromatics and dimension. We ended with a gorgeous pistachio ice cream with pistachio butter and actual pistachios, pure heaven for me and their rendition of a tiramisu which was straight out of an art museum. We had a wonderful family dinner. The food is terrific. Every course was A+ with unexpected depth of flavors and perfectly cooked. The wine list is also excellent, we had a Brunello that was truly outstanding. The service was good in terms of bringing the food, clearing the table etc. My only negative comment is that we all felt the waiter was too aggressive in upselling. He was constantly pushing us to order the tasting menu, more appetizers, dishes, dessert, after dinner drinks etc. It was too much. Save your money. The only good thing about this place is the gelato. We went in for a dinner, we were looking for something special and we left without founding it. Food is bland and overpriced. Service terrible, I had one of the servers backside literally in my face half the dinner. We ordered a lot of different items to give this place a good try but none of the dishes were worth a second chance. The server should have guided our experience better, our first few courses came out way too fast, he was Cuban guy trying to speak Italian not knowing his attempt resulted gross and borderline offensive, and very repetitive, it felt way over the top almost forced. Ambiance is bad too the place is way too loud, poor design. In a nutshell: save your money this place is nothing special, definitely not worth the buzz nor the prices they charge. We came for dinner to celebrate our 36 wedding anniversary and left with happy hearts and happy stomach! We had the pink shrimp carpaccio and the millefogglie di manzo for appetizers and both presentations were outstanding with flavor to compare. For the main course we had the tagliolini al tartufo nero and the risotto zafferano and ossobuco and we were both extremely impressed. For dessert the obvious choice was the pistachio ice cream that is simply out of this world. The decor and ambiance are very elegant and we simply could not believe that a restaurant of this caliber is just a mile and a half away from our home. Chef Marco was kind enough to stop by our table to say hi and our server, also named Marco was amazing as well. I hope it was just an off day because it was Easter. We were brought something before our meals. No explanation. No little story about what we were being offered to try and why it was so special they offered it to us. It was a stuffed rolled bread that looked appetizing. I didn't try the one with meats, tried one with spinach and was not only cold but not much taste. Nothing else we tried was really too great. After craving some Italian my bf and I wanted to go to a local spot "mosaico" for some food when we realized last minute that it had closed. To our surprise a new place opened in its location called "Mano Libera" by Chef Marco Giugliano. I am forever grateful to giving this spot a try as it as become one of our favorite spots for Italian. Not only is the atmosphere incredibly welcoming, but the service and the food is top notch. My bf has worked in the industry and after noticing so many little details he speaks incredibly highly of this place. Words can't express how delicious everything on the menu is, not to mention how incredible our two times visiting this place has been. We love to sit at the bar and we have been taken cared of so well by their bartender as well as the supporting staff who not only brings the food but carefully tells you each plate in detail prior to eating making the experience that much more enticing. read more
