I stopped in here on a Sunday night for a quick, casual bite. The place was pretty empty, with just two other tables seated, which is what I was looking for. I wasn't in the mood for a big crowd and noise. This place has a lot of big screen tv's and had a great football game on the screens, which kept me and my husband entertained. The waitress was really nice and friendly. She gave great service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my guy ordered the scallops. Neither of us were very wowed with the food. He said some of the scallops didn't taste as fresh as he'd have liked and they came alone without any side and sautéed mushrooms- which he doesn't eat- and my grilled chicken was a little tough/chewy. It was also a small cutlet. On the bright side, we both agreed that the sweet potato fries were delicious! Prices were reasonable for the dishes we got, but some other menu items seemed on the higher side. I hope they taste better and are better than what we got for the price they are asking, as our food was mid. Overall, I would drop in again if the occasion called for it, but this wouldn't be a place I'd made an effort to return to. Been here twice in the last year to watch two different bands. I've had mixed experiences, but I'd say generally you just want to come here if there's a band that's playing that you like. Service has varied quite a bit. On the first visit it was pretty much nonexistent at the tables. We had to end up ordering at the bar .Yesterday the service was really good. Yesterday we tried the tuna pokey, and that was very good, and the prosciutto fig flatbread, and that was OK it lacked a little flavor I was really disappointed, though in their beers selection You walk in and there's like 30 taps behind the bar, but they only had one beer on draft and a handful of others in bottles. read more

Had a great time last Saturday night here at Pub52. What a night! Live music, dancing, fire appetizers and delicious cocktails! It was my first time coming here and it blew my mind on how fun it was. Not sure if they have a live music every weekend but the singer and the whole band were phenomenal. They had the whole place on they're feet dancing and singing along and enjoying every moment of it. The service was up to par. The menu was decent, I ordered the coconut shrimp and fried calamari. So good. The gin cocktails were fire , the lemondrop spritzer cocktail was good too. The Experience Mostly I go for the 80s rock and oldies bands and order the korean ribs, but really, all the "happy hour" dishes are really good, just remember that things like the taco bites or the pizza bites are more of a shareable nature, while the ribs are more of a one-person deal. The drinks are, as I said, pretty decent, but they are very inconsistent, as it really depends on the bartender... as if they don't give them any standard training and they just make the drinks their own way: sometimes the old-fasshioned is spectacular, sometimes feels like a splash of watery whiskey. The Vodka Tonic is usually vodka and tonic, but then again, there are days when they actually put some effort on it and actually serve a vodka tonic. Beers are just the regular brands but they arte never perfectly chilled. The servers are very friendly, most times, and try to be as helpful as possible, just be aware that the rare days when they are packed, the food takes a longer time as they may get a bit overwhelmed. On the other hand, you can sit down and talk while listening to pretty nice bands and enjoy the food: the coconut shrimp are always a hit, the calamary is nicely done, mosto of the times; the cuban bites (which are like mini wontons filled with pork) are not my cup of tea, but they have their fans; the taco bites, I mentioned before, are not really filling but they have a good consistency and flavor; all of the flatbread/pizza-ish dishes are great, and the fries and the truffle fries, more specifically, are always crispy. Don't go here. It may be the worst restaurant in all of Miami-Dade county, and I've seen some stinkers. The first time I went to this place was to meet some friends for a 1pm Dolphins game on a Sunday. I was the first to arrive and the game had already begun, but I was the only person there. I didn't like the fact that I was completely alone and I recommended we move someplace where we'd find like-minded people, which we did. Little did we know we'd dodged a bullet that day. For the second round, I was one in a group of six 50 year old men who showed up to watch a season-pivotal Heat game on a Wednesday evening. Once again I was the first to arrive and once again the place was completely empty save for myself, the hostess/waitress, and the bartender. This time around I figured we had enough people to make our own party, plus the facilities were nice enough, so we decided to stay and make the best of it. I figured two employees dedicated to us would make up for the lack of an enthusiastic crowd, and no one was going to be more enthusiastic for this game than us anyways. Boy, was I mistaken. For starters, the bartender and waiter don't seem to be trained very well (or even at all). They were essentially devoid of any and all of the skills you'd expect from a waiter at even the most basic restaurant. They did not know how to take an order, they did not how to bring food to the table, how to clear a table, etc. We often found ourselves wanting another round of drinks, only to find both employees playing with their phones on the opposite side of the restaurant. Drinks here are $30 by the way, you'd figure they'd be slinging them out as fast as we could drink them. Ultimately, it felt like we were intruding on what would otherwise be their alone time. While the food is not as horrible as the service, it's not without its problems. The flatbreads looked and tasted like they were pulled from a bag. The bread/crust was most definitely some sort of highly processed shelf-stable food. The flatbreads from the Walmart Market are 100x better. I recommend they start procuring these instead. The wings looked and tasted like they were cooked in the past, then reheated and sauced to order. My guess is that they were cooked en masse in sous-vide pouch a number of days earlier, refrigerated, then pulled and fried just before serving. They weren't bad, but they were less than average restaurant quality. The restaurant space itself is comfortable. The tables are a good size. Plenty of TV's. The outdoor area is nice with comfy sofas and more TV's. It's a shame really. I could see myself spending hours here. Something about Pub52 doesn't make sense. How is it still open? Maybe it's a location problem. Many of the other restaurants on the block are either closing, have already closed, or have recently changed hands. If I were the landlord, I'd be looking to get out of the restaurant business. It's a shame. Pub52 could really be something, but lack of management is killing the place slowly. This place needs a senior person to train folks and keep them on track. Given the volume of customers, I imagine it'd be difficult to retain one. I implore you, for the sake of the restaurant, don't support this place. This restaurant is suffering. They need to let it go. read more

Went on a Friday night when local talent performs. The place was pretty empty other than the few friends and relatives of the performers. I ordered a prosecco. They brought me a small amount of something. My boyfriend complained about the small amount. When the waitress went to the bartender to mention it, she was told that was the last bit of prosecco left so it was on the house. When I tasted it, it wasn't even prosecco; it was just white wine. We ordered a burger which the menu says comes accompanied by truffle fries. Well, there was no truffle in it. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she said they dont put too much truffle on the fries because some people dont like it. When my boyfriend ordered a second Miller lite, he was told there wasn't any more. It was Friday night, for God's sake, and they didn't have enough drinks? Guess we won't be going back. read more

I went to Pub52 to see Badge perform live rock music. Wow what an incredible experience with the band. Excellent performance and great energy. The best part was our server, Rudy! His personality and service to our table was exceptional. Pub52 should be so lucky to have such an incredible employee. He made our experience special and was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He was the hardest working person in the restaurant. During the day, Pub 52 is another pub with large screen TVs, a long bar that covers the entire length of the wall, and menu with items you would expect, such as burgers and wings, and if you are looking for something a bit different, they may have that as well. During the day it is rarely crowded and at times the service can be slow. But when the sun goes down during the weekend, this place starts to buzz as people slowly walk in and fill the long tables and the band starts setting up. By the time the band starts, the crowd is anticipating a night a music, dance, drinks, and food. I don't think I have ever seen a band there that was not good, and although the space designated as dance floor in front of the band is rather small, this never stops anyone from dancing in between tables. As you may imagine, the service can be slow, but I always find the bar area less crowded than the main room and I order my drinks there. This makes things simple and easy to close the tab. Overall, if you are looking for a fun evening, Pub 52 is a good bet, especially for larger crowds. read more

I've been wanting to visit for a while but always to busy to do so. It's been a rough work day and I needed a couple of drinks and to seat alone and decompress. This place was perfect for that. I came around 6ish on a Thursday and set at the bar. I was greeted by a super welcoming bartender (Anthony) he was very friendly and knowledgeable of the drink menu. Gave me great options I tried the raspberry drop martini it was delicious but I'm a Prosecco type of girl so I had to try their Prosecco mule and loved it. Ambiance for a early Thursday was dead but that's normal and I prefer it that way to be honest. I will be returning on a regular base for the happy hour and the spectacular service! I ordered a drink, it took 20+ minutes, waitress never checked on us. Had to ask the manger/host to check on my drink. After, i complained waitress checked on us 2 more times. When , I wanted to pay no waitress, tried to pay my bill at the bar( they said the waitress had to to it) I had 1 drink. Then when the waitress did show, to get the bill, she disappeared again. I'm a bit behind in writing my review as this concerns a lunchtime visit almost two months ago in early August. My wife had a 1pm medical appointment near UM so after I dropped her off I decided to drive over to South Miami for lunch. After walking around for a bit, I decided to stop in at Pub 52 and I'm glad I did. The restaurant was almost empty on a Wednesday afternoon so I had a choice of booths near the bar. My server, Javier, approached me immediately, provided a menu, and took my drink order, which was a draft Guinness. When he returned with my drink, I ordered the Veggie Burger without the cheese. He then inquired if I had done so because I'm Vegan and when I answered yes, he advised me that the cole slaw that normally accompanies the burger contained mayo so he would ensure that it wasn't on the plate. I then ordered fries as my side dish. After delivering my food, Javier kept checking on me to make sure everything was satisfactory and to see if there was anything else I needed. So often servers in these type of pub/casual restaurants deliver your food (or worse, it's simply delivered by runners), and you don't see them again until it's time to pay your bill. It was a pleasure having a server who checked on me several times throughout my meal. Now I know from reading earlier reviews that service has apparently been an issue here, but I had absolutely no complaints with my service from Javier. I also found my food to be delicious; one of the best Veggie Burgers I've ever had. I hate when restaurants simply use a pre-packaged commercial frozen veggie burger. Here it was obvious that this was a hand-crafted veggie burger. I don't want to take anything away from earlier Yelpers who had less than satisfying experiences at Pub 52 due to slow service from both the kitchen and their servers, and I'm sure that the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty had an impact on the excellent service I received from both, but I can only rate my own experience here this day. And that experience was definitely worth 5 stars. If and when I return at a busier time and on a busier day, I'll write a revised review to see if Pub 52 still warrants 5 stars. But until then, this is what it deserves from me. read more

First off when we came it was fully empty which should've already been a sign,but once we got seated,the table was extremely dirty with drinks spilled everywhere,the people took ten minutes just to clean the table.and like 15 minutes to only bring water and then when it was time to order we waited 57 minutes to get our food so when I got up to complain about the poor service it turned out that there was only one chef to prepare the food and he was sitting at the bar drinking,so then after that when we finally got our food it was entirely wrong except for my sisters and when she tried it it was just a bowl of salt and spices so then we had to wait even longer for her food,after that me and my sister went to the bathroom while waiting and all of the stalls were out of order and the water didn't even run and when we went back they got our order wrong AGAIN and when we tried to get a refund they wouldn't let us and the total was 234.47 dollars even tho we didn't even get our food.me and my family personally think that this place is horrible and shouldn't even be a restaurant. read more

My experience at Pub 52 was great! My friends and I ordered from the Miami spice menu. This allowed us to taste a variety of menu options. The food was tasty and well presented but left something to be desired. The drinks were refreshing and decently sized. I gave them 4 stars because of the ambiance and service. Our server Ruben was helpful in choosing from the menu and was extremely attentive. They have plenty of tvs inside for viewing sports and a small stage for bands on special days of the week. They also had a pool table but it was tucked away because of the pandemic. Everything was clean and the staff was wearing masks throughout every interaction.
