First time was here and was blow away with the soulful sound of Maryel Epps for Sunday soul brunch. never disappointed. She had everyone dancing and singing having a great time. The service was excellent and great bar and food. wait to see what's next.

The summary: If you like crowded bars and lively parties, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a place with a nice band, decent drinks and nice dishes on your night out, Pub 52 is perfectly fine. The Experience Mostly I go for the 80s rock and oldies bands and order the korean ribs, but really, all the "happy hour" dishes are really good, just remember that things like the taco bites or the pizza bites are more of a shareable nature, while the ribs are more of a one-person deal. The drinks are, as I said, pretty decent, but they are very inconsistent, as it really depends on the bartender... as if they don't give them any standard training and they just make the drinks their own way: sometimes the old-fasshioned is spectacular, sometimes feels like a splash of watery whiskey. The Vodka Tonic is usually vodka and tonic, but then again, there are days when they actually put some effort on it and actually serve a vodka tonic. Beers are just the regular brands but they arte never perfectly chilled. The servers are very friendly, most times, and try to be as helpful as possible, just be aware that the rare days when they are packed, the food takes a longer time as they may get a bit overwhelmed. On the other hand, you can sit down and talk while listening to pretty nice bands and enjoy the food: the coconut shrimp are always a hit, the calamary is nicely done, mosto of the times; the cuban bites (which are like mini wontons filled with pork) are not my cup of tea, but they have their fans; the taco bites, I mentioned before, are not really filling but they have a good consistency and flavor; all of the flatbread/pizza-ish dishes are great, and the fries and the truffle fries, more specifically, are always crispy. Overall, a good place for a night out (you can always dance if that's what you're into, but don't expect a wild party).

JP & Krystal are the best bartenders in the game!

First time at Pub52 for line dancing on Tuesday nights and I was impressed by Krystal and JP's attentiveness and customer service. They made some great drink recommendations and were very welcoming! Will for sure be back (:

Meh. The Korean ribs were so fatty I didn't eat them. The artichoke dip was okay. Service was sparse we had to look for our guy to get a drink. The menu is unspectacular nothing stands out. There was a live band on Saturday night which garnered my intention to slip inside and see what this place is all about. Aside from the band the evening was uneventful. This place is like so many other pub food ale houses etc Meh.

Don't go here. It may be the worst restaurant in all of Miami-Dade county, and I've seen some stinkers. The first time I went to this place was to meet some friends for a 1pm Dolphins game on a Sunday. I was the first to arrive and the game had already begun, but I was the only person there. I didn't like the fact that I was completely alone and I recommended we move someplace where we'd find like-minded people, which we did. Little did we know we'd dodged a bullet that day. For the second round, I was one in a group of six 50 year old men who showed up to watch a season-pivotal Heat game on a Wednesday evening. Once again I was the first to arrive and once again the place was completely empty save for myself, the hostess/waitress, and the bartender. This time around I figured we had enough people to make our own party, plus the facilities were nice enough, so we decided to stay and make the best of it. I figured two employees dedicated to us would make up for the lack of an enthusiastic crowd, and no one was going to be more enthusiastic for this game than us anyways. Boy, was I mistaken. For starters, the bartender and waiter don't seem to be trained very well (or even at all). They were essentially devoid of any and all of the skills you'd expect from a waiter at even the most basic restaurant. They did not know how to take an order, they did not how to bring food to the table, how to clear a table, etc. We often found ourselves wanting another round of drinks, only to find both employees playing with their phones on the opposite side of the restaurant. Drinks here are $30 by the way, you'd figure they'd be slinging them out as fast as we could drink them. Ultimately, it felt like we were intruding on what would otherwise be their alone time. While the food is not as horrible as the service, it's not without its problems. The flatbreads looked and tasted like they were pulled from a bag. The bread/crust was most definitely some sort of highly processed shelf-stable food. The flatbreads from the Walmart Market are 100x better. I recommend they start procuring these instead. The wings looked and tasted like they were cooked in the past, then reheated and sauced to order. My guess is that they were cooked en masse in sous-vide pouch a number of days earlier, refrigerated, then pulled and fried just before serving. They weren't bad, but they were less than average restaurant quality. The restaurant space itself is comfortable. The tables are a good size. Plenty of TV's. The outdoor area is nice with comfy sofas and more TV's. It's a shame really. I could see myself spending hours here. Something about Pub52 doesn't make sense. How is it still open? Maybe it's a location problem. Many of the other restaurants on the block are either closing, have already closed, or have recently changed hands. If I were the landlord, I'd be looking to get out of the restaurant business. It's a shame. Pub52 could really be something, but lack of management is killing the place slowly. This place needs a senior person to train folks and keep them on track. Given the volume of customers, I imagine it'd be difficult to retain one. I implore you, for the sake of the restaurant, don't support this place. This restaurant is suffering. They need to let it go.

Pretty awful food. As in AWFUL. So loud despite being empty. Loud band playing to a crowd of 4 people. Can't hear conversation at 7:30pm. Drinks took 20 min (which would be fine if crowded but it wasn't even 3M ABLES full) and martini half full when served. So many better options. Don't go here.

Quick stop after brunch, music outside was good. We sat at the bar, it was pretty dead. They had quite a few beers on tap and pricing was realistic. Id stop in again.

It is possible that the vibe of Sunset Tavern will not change much, but as we all know, it may never be the same. Sunset Tavern is one of those few places where it is just as good to go in the morning for a Bloody Mary and enjoying the scenery of South Miami, as it is to go at night, drink a beer and watch a live band perform. The ambiance is casual, the service is up to the challenge, and the price is reasonable. As the matter of, I went to Sunset Tavern last night. The name of the band playing was Electric Mayhem and they were absolutely outstanding. The energy and the chemistry between the band members, the song selection, and the talent of the musicians was off the chat. I have never been so mesmerized by a local band before, and I plan to go back and see them again. They perform in Sunset Tavern the first Saturday of every month. But as I was watching the band, I took a look around. So many memories within those walls. I will miss this location.

He did, however, break a smile towards the end of our meal, just around the time our bill came. Ambiance - Yes, it has a pub feel but there's nothing stellar about it. I know it's a neighborhood staple, but the pizza place next door had all its customers. The place was half empty when we were there. Food - My husband told us about the Tuesday deal: $8 hamburger with fries so we went to try it out. * Hamburger - lacked seasoning and flavor. Bread was hard and everything is, thereafter, à la carte for $.75 or $1 so it's actually $8 plus. * Fries - salty * Caesar salad - salty * House wine - $8 for what seemed like a 6oz pour. Overall, this place was a pricey disappointment; but then again, I'm not at an age that dines solely on crafted beers, thus, will notice the poor service and food.

From the moment we sat down, the guy looked annoyed that we were there. Zero greeting, zero eye contact. We waited almost 10 minutes just to get acknowledged while he was chatting with another customers at the other end of the bar. When he finally took our order, he barely listened. I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology.
