Many times have we come thinking that our dog is about to pass and they worked with a sense of urgency. They will not do unnecessary tests just to make money. The last time being before our dog turned 2 and they said we don't need to bring him anymore for his weight because he will be done growing. well I've tried to pick up medicine on three occasions and I've been told I have to order it online now. which makes no sense if they just have given it to me in the past. I've been told they are already closed (five minutes before closing time, and the girls working had all already gotten off their computers and were clearly closing early and didn't want to do their jobs), and I've been told the medicine was re-stocked already within a few days of ordering it. terrible customer service, lazy employees, and the QR code they gave me to order the medicine takes you to a 404 bad gateway page, so terrible IT set up.

The last time I took her she was getting her hair shaved because of her matted and tangled hair. She's a Himalayan mix with Persian so naturally these type of cats are beautiful but require alot of brushing and sometimes I've had to take her to get shaved and sometimes if I'm lucky just shave her mats. This time she definitely needed a complete shave. Dr Pippin explained her sedation to me because I was a little nervous because of her age . She will be 16 in a couple of weeks. Dr Pippin has always explains what he's doing and if I have any questions. I left and I decided to take a little nap before picking her up. I woke up late and realized the clinic had called twice and I looked at my phone it was 5:45;pm.I called and apologized. They told me it's OK because things happen. Wow how nice is that. I rushed to get Mysti and thanked them for being so nice. It's also affordable too.

She's older than we expected but Hewitt Veterinary hospital was more thorough than other vets we seek help from. Which she's also perfectly fine now! I will continue taking all my cats here. My cats also love them! They're not fans of other vet offices but they're all comfortable here as well as my husband & I with their care! You can be rest assured that they'll take care of your pets with the upmost respect and love as if they're their own. I'm forever grateful for this staff and hospital!

We have a follow up appointment scheduled for December as our dog requires regular blood checks. Their fees were reasonable, $50 office visit and $45 for the blood work. The staff was super friendly and did all the preliminary work in gathering records from LA Vet, etc.

Dr. Surbur is very thorough and actually caught a rare clotting disorder that one of my dogs had simply because she was paying careful attention and noticed that my dog had a little bleeding around her gums. One time I had an after hours emergency and she met me at her office at night and took x-rays of my dog and helped me to make the decision to take him to Texas A & M for further care. While we were in College Station she called me a couple of times and checked on my dog and when he eventually died (not her fault, he had a congenital defect) she sent me a lovely gift to remember him by. Her office staff is excellent and it is easy to get convenient appointment times.

Next visit was for our big boy, copperhead bite, they treated him quickly and sent us on our way, and 2.5 weeks later we came back, our boy had collapsed after tracking scents in the yard, immediately they caught that it was another snakebite, and determined to be rattlesnake. It was serious, he stayed 24 hrs and was released. We've got a long road of wound care and such, but they saved him. I've had nothing but great care and they saved both our pups lives. The vets have taken their time listening and explaining, very patient and caring. Top notch!!
