We have typically just been given flea and tick medicine when we take our dog here for various appointments. The last time being before our dog turned 2 and they said we don't need to bring him anymore for his weight because he will be done growing. well I've tried to pick up medicine on three occasions and I've been told I have to order it online now. which makes no sense if they just have given it to me in the past. I've been told they are already closed (five minutes before closing time, and the girls working had all already gotten off their computers and were clearly closing early and didn't want to do their jobs), and I've been told the medicine was re-stocked already within a few days of ordering it. terrible customer service, lazy employees, and the QR code they gave me to order the medicine takes you to a 404 bad gateway page, so terrible IT set up. read more

we took our cats there to get spayed. it was an all around great experience. people there super nice and caring. 2 female cats spayed was 215. which included both spayed, micro chipped, rabies shot, and one cat had pyometra, shot with penicillin and liquid antibiotics. both our babies came home great and are awesome. all the workers there were the best. caring and loving. highly and I mean highly recommended and very respectful. great people. thank you so much for taking care of our babies. thank you from ginger and sweet pea. read more

I have iffy and mixed feelings about this place. I've taken many cats here and the experience is different every time. It's affordable which is super nice, but from experience they don't listen to your concerns. I had a cat that they asked if I needed an ear clip and I asked for them to not clip his ear since he was inside and they did it anyways. Then I had outside cats I asked for them to clip their ears and they didn't. The staff doesn't listen to you and they're not super friendly depending on who's in the office that day. I've had a few experiences where they were friendly and great but unfortunately the bad out ruled the good. This place is absolutely amazing. They did a neuter on my dog Nacho on December 5th 2023, well I got worried about my dog because his stuff wasn't looking or feeling normal. So, I emailed them this morning and sent a picture along with it. They had me bring him in for a check-up today. First time for me to have a dog neutered, but everything is OK. He just has to wear his satellite dish, aka the cone, for another 7 days! He is a very hyper dog at home, so his stuff is taking longer to calm down from the neuter..lol Definitely recommend them! The price point here is truly amazing. The staff are nice and most of the time it moves quickly and efficiently. However, this definitely needs to be supplemented with a local vet. We had some issues post neutering and had to go to the emergency vet because ABC wasn't open or helpful when I called. We also had to wait over 30 minutes in the car for them to come out to get our dog. Again, it's a great deal for the services provided. I just wish it felt more personal or informative to their customers. But I guess that's why a local vet is definitely needed. read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. The front office staff at this place are rude and they talk Dow. To people like they're stupid. Every cat we've brought in to be spayed or neutered have gotten sick once they been brought home. We work hard for our money and to be treated like this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! We were living in a place that had multiple feral cats. A neighbor was helping to catch and spay/neuter them, and we decided to help. The clinic gave us a kennel for a refundable $50, and they took the cat in right away. He did well with surgery, and the post operative directions helped us get him on his way. We also got our Dog, a Doberman, a wellness check. The staff was busy but courteous and helpful and kind to our dog. (Many people are not, they think Dobermans are all bad tempered.) Prices were more than reasonable. They are busy, so expect to wait a few minutes in line, and yes, they may be terse in their communications, but the staff is juggling a lot, and overall, I think they do a good job. read more

I rescue cats and try to re-home them when I can. (Right now I have 10 in my care.) I have used ABC for many, many years. As far as I'm concerned, this is the ONLY place to get your cat or dog neutered or spayed, or get their vaccinations. Their prices are affordable for most everyone, but they even offer financial help for those who truly don't have the funds. Their staff is compassionate and always very professional, giving pets the highest standard of care in the industry. They do not offer other medical services, so sick pets need to see their regular vet. I like my regular vet, but I never take a pet to them for vaccinations or spaying/neutering - my regular vet charges way more than ABC for those services. I am so passionate about the wonderful job the ABC folks are doing to help the community, that I donate to them monthly (wish I could afford more) to them! It's my way of showing gratitude for all they do. I saw a review from "Dom" here. Dom needs to realize that ABC has had a rough year, like many businesses, due to Covid-19 restrictions. My wife and I foster Rescue Jack Russell Terriers. We used this facility to spay a female we are fostering. The prices are very economical and the dog was treated very well. We were so impressed with the care and friendliness of the staff we brought our own dog in for annual vaccinations and a nail trim and saved over $80 of what our normal Vet would have charged us for these services. For spay and neutering and routine vaccinations this organzation is a great place to go and save some money. You will still need to have a regular Vet for medical needs. I adopted a dog from the Killeen Animal Control and had her spayed and updated her shots here. They were great, they called me back within a couple of hours of submitting a request for an appointment. They were very pleasant over the phone and did everything in a timely manner. Also, their prices were great. It was worth the drive to Waco. My dog came through surgery perfectly fine and didn't seem to experience any pain. She healed perfectly. We had our boxer nuetered here its cheap, but is cheaper better? No not at the expense of your precious loved animal! He came home 2 days later a staph infections developed on his eye, the only place he had been was there, and he is a indoor dog, therefore it was not like he contracted it anywhere else. I will not recommend this facility anyone in the future. If I had to do all over Shooter would have gone to his vet where nothing has ever happened. So before you think cheaper is better remember is it really? This place will always never admit that there facility has had an infected animal in it, nor will they tell you that there facility could be dirty not even a little. Awesome basic vet clinic! The people here are very helpful and nice. They offer vet services for dogs and cats at a great price which makes this place stand out from the rest for sure. They're not open weekends except certain circumstances they're open one day a month on a Sunday for vaccinations. Small dog park on premises also, so that makes some of the wait times easier. We had our rescue XOLO spayed and chipped at ABC. I'll admit, I was sort of afraid for our baby girl since the clinic does so many per day. I was afraid it would be an uncaring place in assembly line fashion. Boy, was I surprised! All my fears left immediately upon entering this facility. I brought our 4 dogs in for annual shots and found that the staff was very pleasant! The pricing is better than other vets we have gone to in the past two years since we've been in the Waco area.
