I absolutely love this hospital and the staff! Two years ago I adopted my sweet girl from here & she's the light of my life! They were also so helpful when she got into my son's slime. (No longer allowed in our home after this lol. She's also perfectly healthy and fine now! Just gave us a scare but turned out she was a drama queen) They were also amazing with our other cat we recently rescued! She's older than we expected but Hewitt Veterinary hospital was more thorough than other vets we seek help from. Which she's also perfectly fine now! I will continue taking all my cats here. My cats also love them! They're not fans of other vet offices but they're all comfortable here as well as my husband & I with their care! You can be rest assured that they'll take care of your pets with the upmost respect and love as if they're their own. I'm forever grateful for this staff and hospital! read more

It irritates me so much that a facility CANNOT give treatment to a sick animal without an appointment. Appointments are for clinics not a "animal hospital." There was no accommodation and I am really upset they make it so complicated to get seen. read more

My daughter (age 7) fell in love with a stray that we had been feeding outside so we took it to Hewitt Veterinary Hospital for a full check up, shots etc.. Unfortunately the young cat ended up being very sick and had to be put down. They were so gracious, understanding and sweet regarding the whole matter and handled everything very professionally. Last weekend my 1 & 1/2 year old Lab/Retriever mix was sick & I had to take him to an emergency vet where he was diagnosed with Parvo. They treated him there Saturday thru Monday morning but since they are only open after hours, they told me I would have to transfer him to a regular vet Monday morning to receive further treatment. He had shown some improvement by then but still wasn't out of the woods and we were extremely worried about him. I took him to another local vet Monday morning and was SO unhappy with the service & lack of treatment Baxter received there in the first 3 hours that I went and picked him up because I knew he needed & deserved far better care than he was receiving. I frantically called to find a reputable vet who would see him & the staff at Hewitt Veterinary Clinic were SO helpful when I called and they told me I could bring him in immediately. Dr. Brennan & ALL of her staff far exceeded my expectations and bent over backwards to help my Bax & assured me that he was in good hands. He was there for 2 full days and one night... during that time they were happy to answer the million questions I had every time I would call (which was a LOT). I was even able to go visit him the 2nd day. Dr. Brennan saw me as I went to leave (I was sad leaving my boy) and stopped to tell me everything was going to be okay. She went to the back to get some boiled chicken & walked me back to Baxter so I could feed it to him. Baxter is home now & he is finally back to his old self! I can't believe it! I always thought Parvo was a pretty much death sentence but I was so wrong! Also, even though price was the last thing that I was worried about... my bill there was far less than I expected and the costs were more than reasonable. It's definitely refreshing to receive quality service & care without being charged the crazy prices I've seen at other places. I also went back yesterday to get booster shots for my other 2 dogs. I didn't have an appointment but they were glad to work me in & I didn't even have to wait! Dr. Brennan was out but Dr. Dodson was happy to help us and was just as great. She took care of my other 2 dog's needs and took time to answer more questions about Baxter as well as send home additional meds & special food he needed. Dr. Brennan truly helped saved my baby's life and I couldn't be more thankful for everything she & her staff have done!! I'm so glad I found them by chance & will never use another vet! read more

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. We took our 9 week old healthy puppy for a check-up. They gave him a full set of vaccines and dewormer he had already had (even though we provided his records) plus another dewormer. He developed gastroenteritis and vomiting which led to aspiration pneumonia. We ended up at the emergency vet 3 days later then back to Hewitt Vet for multiple follow-ups. They failed to read the records from the emergency vet and repeated/charged for several tests that had already been done. Our puppy died 11 days after the first time we took him to Hewitt Veterinary Hospital. read more

Although ultimately Lucky's condition was not survivable, I truly feel at peace with that because of the high standard of care she received and the depth of communication everyone I spoke with provided. Dr. Brannen and Dr. Dodson have seen a number of complicated feline cases for me and each time I walk away impressed. I have been a client for 40 years and have always been very happy with the reliable and caring service and care my pets have received from Dr. Gregory and his staff. I was refused service today for my kitty because we didn't have an appointment and I was told they were understaffed. There are 7 doctors listed on the front door. My kitty has a deep laceration on his paw, is bleeding, and unable to walk. I was appalled at the unwillingness to make an accommodation or offer an appointment. The only thing received is a laundry list of other veterinarians/practices and for me to take my injured animal for care. Length of service and loyalty have become meaningless in today's society. I am disappointed, sad, and angry - and unfortunately searching for a new doctor/practice. read more

We started going here when our baby was sick, They were very carrying and helpful. When the time came for us to put her to sleep they were very Compassionate and helped us threw every part of it. I think the place is just great. Great staff, excellent vets, a mix of experience and more recent graduates makes for a good hospital. My dog likes the people there and they like him. Don't forget about grooming as they do a great job with that. They charge 85.00 for my 150 pound dog; he gets a shampoo, hair cut, nail trim, and, best of all, expressed anal glands. I used to cut my dogs hair and I wouldn't do all that for 85.00. read more

Very disappointed with outrageous overpricing of prescriptions. Could have gotten what we needed for $85 but they charge more PLU an $18 per prescription dispensing fee. So disappointed in the fact that I was not informed and given a choice. Paid $100 too much. read more

Very, very caring doctors and staff. All ours furry family members from ferrets, cats and dogs have passed thru their doors. We've been with them for over 14 years. When one of our late ferrets passed after our German Shepard attacked it Doctor Gregory took the time to schedule an appointment with our 2 sons to help them thru their grieving and guilt explaining how the domestic animal still maintains the prey instinct from their wild counterpart. read more

Took my cat into this clinic over a week ago because he was not going to the bathroom. When I arrived the staff was very nice. Saw Dr. Dodson and she ran some test on Simba. The test showed that Simba has crystals in his urine. She gave him a couple of shots and some meds and said lets see how this works. The next day Simba was getting real sick. I called the vet and they told me that Dr. Dodson and her tech were not working that day. This was a weekday.Great. Well I had to find another Veternarian, I received a call today over a week and a half later wanting to know how Simba was. I told the girl Simba died because his bladder burst. I was really happy they waited over a week to call me after I had called and told them that Simba was really sick. I am very disappointed that they did not care enough to call sooner and check on him, not wait over a week. Granted Simba probably would of died but when a customer calls in and tells you the cat is getting worse and all they say is Dr. is not working today. She must be the only vet there. I will NOT be returning there ever again. I did find a Veternarian who worked on Simba, I was very pleased with him. I liked Dr. Dodson but if that Vet hospital/ Clinic wait for over a week to call you, especially after you call them and tell them your animal is really sick, then it shows me that they do not care and if that is the kind of place you want to go to, then by all means go to them. read more
