We ran the Matanza 5K this morning and always try to find some plece new to eat. This place hit the spot. We were seated quickly and looked over the menu. They have the standard breakfast items. When I ordered pancakes, the waitress made sure it was more the one. She describe the size so I ordered one pancake with eggs and bacon. The pancake was large and thick. The bacon serving was more than I expected and cooked to the way I like it. This was a great experience eating somewhere new. read more

Well, well, my husband informed me of this spot so we decided to take a stroll since we wanted to do some shopping. I wish there was a way to add yourself to the waitlist​ like other brunch establishments. When we arrived it was PACKED​. We were put on the list and was told about 30 min wait. The one thing that caught my eye was how large the place was. Most brunch spots I've visited is sort of small. Once we were seated our server came over and took our drink order and while waiting for our drinks another server came over to ask if we wanted to place our drink order-I'm assuming they just all really work together. The menu is rather large. I ordered my usual -waffles​ but to, ​me the waffles was just a bit hard. I prefer my waffles soft and fluffy​​y but still not bad. The service was with a smile and friendly. From what we were informed 2 new locations will be opening one​ is the Town Center & one shucks I can't remember the second location. The place is modern yet pleasing. The food we ordered was very good. Strawberry Belgian waffles. The home fries were good. Eggs, difficult to get wrong. I was initially troubled when I was informed that they had run out of sugar. After a 30 minute wait, you are going to tell me you ran out of sugar for coffee?!? When the waitress came to take our order I asked "Are you seriously out of sugar?". She said she would check. And she came through! She was attentive. You can have savory, sweet, anything you want! The menu here definitely has everything you could be craving. There was a wait when we got there, but we were seated in about 15 minutes. I tried a hazelnut iced coffee and it was sweet, creamy and delicious! For breakfast I got a Belgian waffle with whipped cream and a side of sausage. It was delicious! The waffle was fluffy and the whipped cream divine. The sausage links were perfect to balance out the sweet. My friend got an omelette and home fries. Of course I tried some of hers too. The home fries were some of the best I had, sautéed with onions and full of flavor. The food took a little while, but it came out hot and delicious. We were fortunate to stumble on the Keke's in St. Augustine. We noticed it when driving to a Chinese restaurant and decided to try it. Everything was excellent. The place was clean and our server was spot on. We didn't have to ask for coffee refills, the staff was constantly offering them. I had the blueberry pancakes, fluffy and enough for 3 meals! Our server sort of warned me about the amount I would get. My wife ordered the pecan waffle which she enjoyed. We will definitely return to try other dishes. read more

If you're willing to gamble a 2 hour breakfast experience, it may be worth your wait. Wanted a good sit down breakfast with the family (4 total) but ended up with 1.5 hours of wasted time. Wait was 20 minutes which was more than reasonable for us to wait to be seated. We waited outside and picked what we wanted from the menu. We were looking forward to eating several items on the menu. Our male waiter was very polite but in no rush. We ordered immediately and an hour later we hadn't been served our food. We saw 3 families of 3, 5+, and 5+ order after us, get there food, eat, pay, leave and there table cleaned. We still didn't have our food. I let the waiter know we needed to leave and he said he thought our food was ready. The waiter made an odd statement. He said other waiters were taking our food and he was waiting for it all to be ready before he brought it out. We waited another 5 minutes and still no food. My wife and I love to eat nice brunches and it was the first time we tried this restaurant. Not disappointed at all. Food was excellent and service was fast and friendly . Delicious breakfast! Great portions for the price and a warm friendly waitress. We tried the pancakes and scrambler bowl. Both were excellent. The 2 pancakes were HUGE, and as delicious as they were it was just too much to finish in one sitting. The scrambler was customizable, so I got it with pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, jalapeños, and ham over a bed of 'home fries' (sliced fried red potatoes) with a side of their creamy smoky spicy petal sauce. OMG. This dish was incredible. We look forward to returning many times so we can try the waffles, omelets, and many other menu items. My potatoes weren't good today. However I didn't complain my omelette with cheese and turkey sausage was good. I love a place I can go and have Turkey meat. Christopher was good to us. He was very attentive. When he went to refill my coffee he said "may I" before touching the cup. That got him. 5 starts. My friend and I were talking about our past interactions with people as we have been friends a long time and it was very relaxing to just sit and talk and Christopher made that possible by not forgetting us and making sure he kept the communication open with us and not just us but the other tables. If you hate yourself or only enjoy salt and pepper as seasoning this is the place for you. The other yelp reviews are so misleading, I was beyond disappointed when we came here. First of all I will say the food presentation was the only good thing. And I'm sure all the pancakes/Frenchtoast/waffles on the menu are good because in all honesty how can you f*** that up? But everything else lacks flavor, even putting their hollandaise sauce on doesn't change anything. (Which cost $2, why would you charge $2 for something that taste like nothing?) Let me start by saying I love Keke's. I have been to the one in Orlando and the one in the St. John's town center and was over the moon about them. I had always been either by myself or with my friends never with my spouse so being that we were in St. Augustine and starving I decided this would be perfect time to take him. We arrived and was greeted immediately and sat immediately. It wasn't super packed which it usually is. Chris was our server and he was great. I ordered the bacon, cheese and tomato omelette with blueberry silver dollar pancakes and potatoes and my spouse got a build your own omelette with potatoes and silver dollar potatoes. Though our food came out pretty quick and looked AMAZING it just seemed off. And both of us felt that way. The potatoes were average, he didn't even eat his, and the omelettes tasted like they were missing seasoning. Our pancakes were somewhat cold. I can't quite put my finger on it but it just didn't taste like the Keke's I had had a few times before. After we left my spouse said he was disappointed and it didn't live up to the hype I had given it and I sorta agreed with him. I will say that we did arrive at 1:50 and they closed at 2:30 so that could be it as well. Being that I live by town center I will definitely continue to frequent that location. I might be willing to give this location another chance. I definitely suggest you try it for yourself, it could have just been an off day! read more

Over priced for what it is. While I didn't have any overtly bad issues like many others, I did have several issues that will keep me from ever returning. The front French doors are broken or something so one stays locked. My eggs were under cooked. Not enough to send back but still under. Potatoes had an unusual flavor. Not sure if this was on purpose or not. Also they're not cooked to order, we ordered well done and they were just a batch they had prepared and burnt off a little on the griddle for our request. Also their breakfast egg "combos" don't include any meat. Just egg potato and toast. Of course for four more dollars you can have a side of bacon added but it's a little ridiculous. Not sure how a business is expected run indefinitely when you are offering mediocre, at best, food at a premium price. Much like others, you got me this time but I will never return. I am not a person to complain. I was trying this place out for the first time with my mother and I was extremely disappointed. Waited over 30 min for our food! Waitress passed us multiple times and looked the other way and we had to ask about where our food was by flagging her down. No asking if we needed more water or napkins. When we asked for our food, we magically received our food within two minutes. It's a joke to say that I paid fairly for the order I asked for. I ordered a blueberry waffle combo. And if you never had a blueberry waffle, they are supposed to be cooked within the waffle and have a glaze on top. I received a plain waffle with blue berries that just got out of a container in the holes of my waffle. Why was I charged for a special waffle?! Eggs were minimal and cold (was supposedly two large eggs) and bacon was as if it was undercooked. When the waitress asked how our food was I said "it's okay" and she tried to brush it off saying "no, it's great, right!!" And I didn't even respond to that because of how ridiculous that comment was for my obvious disgust. The funniest part was when I paid in cash and didn't get accurate change. I think the waitress knew that I wasn't giving much. Not worth almost $40. Ridiculous service at this place. Go elsewhere to spend hard earned money. read more

I just went in to treat myself for a nice breakfast. Keke s had just been open a few weeks. I had a little time on my hands so decide to walk in. It was a very pleasant atmosphere, nice lighting and a very friendly and attentive wait staff. I ordered eggs, bacon,multi grain toast and grits. They don't offer grits, ok, how about hash browns? No hash browns, they just have home fries which contain onions and peppers and cooked in oil on the grill and to me were NOT appealing. I asked why no grits, and itwas explained that people wanted too many ways and that they could not accommodate these requests. I suggested they limit to plain or with cheese . that's it. Anyway, when I got my meal, they gave me 1 1/2 slices of bacon and the home firs were mushy and unappealing. I salve get the rest and received a check for $18 with tax and no tip. Evidently everything was Ala carte We ARE in the south and there should be more options available At more reasonable prices.
