One star is too many! Waited in the heat for over two hours, called to check the status and the lady said "the truck broke down but he got another truck and is in route now, should be there shortly". She said she'd call him and have the driver reach out...lies. We waited for another 30 mins just to have the insurance company send a text and ask if a driver ever showed up... Still no driver and no call just another text saying they can no longer come tow the vehicle. Terrible customer service and unacceptable communication. Would not recommend! read more

These guys have gone so far downhill it's pathetic. I got a phone call last night at two in the morning while my friend waited more than four hours past the supposed pick-up time waiting at a gas station in Fort Walton Beach - and they still hadn't shown (no call, no nothing to provide an update) - forcing a woman to have to walk all the way home in the dark from her stranded vehicle and she ended up falling and injuring herself. Disgraceful. Thankfully, a competitor stopped by her house to pick up the key and get the job done the way it should have been done - professionally. I will not forget this violation of customer service and how Kell Recovery Services' failed at their job. read more

Told me 15 mins to an hr. 3 hrs later said they had another call to do first. I'll drag it home before I use them.

I called and requested a flatbed for my BMW. They confirmed one would be sent. Two hours later, tow truck arrives but no flatbed. The driver states he doesn't know if a flatbed is available. I call again and she then says the flatbed is too large for the road, which is bs because a flatbed picked up a car across the street last week. The manager then calls and started being very rude and demeaning. They should have just told the truth at the beginning instead of saying they could send a flatbed. Very unprofessional. Wasted two hours of my time. read more

Terrible communication and customer service. 2nd time trying to use this company. Definitely the last. 1st time was through AAA. Was told multiple times "driver will be there in 15 minutes, waited 2.5 hours. Finally, we left the keys for the driver and he picked up 6 hours later. This time, was told I didn't have to be present, driver would call when he arrived and I could pay him over the phone. No call, no text, no nothing. Car is still here. Just called company and they stated they were busy. I get that, that's great. Why not tell me that in the first place? Could have made other arrangements. My husband was in an accident on his motorcycle. Kell picked up the bike. When we wanted moved to another location I had to pay cash ($500) to pay for the past and future tow. If I wanted to use my debit card they wanted to charge $20. While in their shop the was a partially naked Polaroid of a woman in plain sight. The bike was a no show at the place we wanted it taken to. When I called they said they didn't know we wanted it towed even though we pre paid. All in all a very unprofessional company. read more

I called on a Saturday and rather than telling me what the other RUDE towing companies did, he said if he had a driver he would but did not have one available. SO, on Monday, they were my 1st pick! Mario told me a price of $95 for a tow. I told him no thank you, as I have had the total quoted at $60 previously. After a pause he said well I guess we can do that if you want. To clarify I said the $60? He said yeah we can do that if you want. I said sure let's do it for the 60. Well the truck showed up, not the 60 minutes later or less, but 80 minutes later with a tow bill of $75. Classic Bait and Switch tactic. I will stop recommending them. The driver was doing 60mph+ in my neighborhood and nearly wrecked my neighbors truck, but was otherwise polite. read more

ive had two experiences with this company and without doubt can tell you that the female office manager is the nastiest woman ive ever known! The driver Robert is a real nice guy too with a real big hunk of hall monitor power and im too short disease to be somwhat cordial. neither one of these two individuals belongs in customer relations, He had made out to me that he was the manager and my complaint ends with him. in his words he owned that yard. however, let me say this they had another guy that by a blessing he worked there. This guy accomplished in 5 minutes what neither of them could do in a few hours. Bobby this guy and he was a pleasure to talk to. Cut through all the bull. He didnt have an attitude, spoke in a normal tone of voice, and frankly made that day chase a positivde ending. Im not sure is just took over Kell but i hope he steps out and does his homework I cant find anyone not associated with them to say anything nice about either of them anfd i tried Bobby gets 5 Stars for comman sense and candor! My vehicle was parked on private property in my neighborhood. The vehicle disappeared and was assumed stolen. My neighborhood is also conveniently located right around the corner from Kell's Recovery. After calling the sheriff's department and verifying it was not repossessed they were able to find a report had been made by Kells claiming they picked up an abandoned vehicle after receiving a "rotation" call. When I contacted Kells confused they confirmed they had the vehicle, and that I could retrieve it from their impound after paying them close to $1000. That was the 1st call. Because the vehicle was NOT abandoned AND on private property I asked for all documentation from the initial report to an itemized bill justifying the action and charges. No one sent me anything after 2 dozen emailed requests. I reported it stolen but was told it was civil and not criminal. I have been w/o my car since March 9,2020. It is July. Due to Covid I have not been able to get anything done this far, but I have filed a REPLEVIN ORDER, and have an attorney. This is a crime, and to date, they have not followed any process except the process of picking up a nice sports car and threatening to sell it if I didn't pay what they are trying extort from me. Imagine being in a car accident that wasn't your fault and you are sent to the ER in an ambulance. You call the tow company about your vehicle and told "your car has a crash kit on it and and not to worry just get yourself better." You go to get your stuff out of your car only to find that there's no crash kit. Actually Not One Single vehicle in their compound had a crash kit.. So you now have Many items missing from your vehicle and what wasn't stolen has been destroyed by the rain. And this company's first words are "Your inventory only said miscellaneous clothes." Then I was told "well I was told there was a crash kit put on it." YOU are the Company. YOU are the ones responsible!! Then they try to have your vehicle released without your permission when you come to get the last of your items from your car and you have to call the sheriff to escort you for your belongings. They should be Removed from the list for towing vehicles from accidents. I will Fight to the End to have them Removed so Nobody else has to experience what I did. God Sees ALLLLLL. Kell's left my young daughter and I stranded for nearly five hours last night, waiting for help they said was coming, but was not. AAA called Kell's to respond to our call after my car broke down and the driver lied multiple times to AAA about being on the way and then lied about arriving to help us, saying we didn't respond when he arrived, not just once but twice. We were right there, where would we go?!l To make it even worse, he supposedly sent a picture of my car to AAA to back up his lies that he arrived and we didn't respond. AAA would not send me the picture so I don't know if it was legit, but if it was that makes this situation even worse because it shows Kell's took the time to come by in a vehicle other than a tow truck but didn't help, just came by long enough to get an alibi picture. What a scam and a dangerous one at that, leaving people stranded and playing games that could have put us in harm's way. Based on reviews I've read on Google and Facebook, where other stranded motorists had similar experiences with Kell's, it seems Kell's picks and chooses the calls AAA sends them on, then lies and misrepresents the work the don't actually do to AAA, perhaps so they can still collect on the call without actually having to do the work or perhaps to keep their contract with AAA while not actually doing the work. I'm grateful my daughter and I had friends to help and I worry for anyone who relies on Kell's for help. They are not reliable or professional. read more

My daughter was in an accident and we had to have them tow the car. When we called they told us they had another car and would be by to pick our car up. It would be no more than an hour and a half. We called the driver and texted with him several times as it was now over two hours. He told us he had to do a turn around. We had to call again and was told I am going to get it now. It was delivered to my house 5 hours after we called them. At this point he says we can store it for you and then take it to the repair shop when you have one if you like. Mind you the guy was totally rude the entire time. Why didn't he say that when we talked to him?!?!?!? Today went to get personal things from the vehicle. First thing I go to take the tag and its missing. I asked the guy and he tells me he just does service calls. He calls Mario the owner and he has us call the driver. The driver said it was not on the car when he picked it up. So I said since you left it on the side of the road for over five hours someone probably stole it. His reply......yes sir. Could not pop the trunk because the battery was dead since it sat on the road for five hours with hazard lights on. VERY unreliable and while Mario the owner and the guy that let us in the lot were nice and courteous, I can not say the same for the driver. read more
