My wife was dealing with Mark Hunt to help find us a rental house. He showed her one and decided to proceed with the application process. Had us pay $50 each for a credit/backround check. Then find out that the house had been rented the previous day. He then showed her another house that she liked that was available. She told him to proceed with the application process. While waiting for an approval my wife continued to look for a rental. She found a house form a private owner that we decided to rent from. When she told him, he told her that we owed him $600 and threatened to sue us if we or the homeowner didn't pay his fee's. I can't believe Keller Williams allows this sort of treatment to customers. He was aggressive and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to this realtor who is out to scam a family out of their hard-earned money. read more

Jean Ainsworth puts a stain on this entire organization with her unethical and bad business practices. We put in an offer on a house represented by Jean and asked for a response within 48 hours. At the last minute (literally minutes before a response was due), Jean calls our agent to tell them they have received another offer and asked us to put in another offer to try and bid up the price. This is on a house that was sitting on the market for over a year and all of a sudden they received multiple "strong" offers. Truly terrible business practice and would advise everyone to stay away from this agent / agency. read more

The agent Whitney B. rep'd both the seller and the buyer in my transaction. She acted as seller's agent first, then buyer's. She did not promote the offer to the seller (which was nearly at asking), did not make a counter offer (not good faith), used the excuse that I was supposed to pay $100/day for the option period in Texas (not true) and of course did not even know the correct rules about the buyer's option period charges in Texas. The house went to another buyer in the end, and the broker (Janice) did not even return my telephone call re same to teach her people how the option period actually works. read more

Steven Markel is realtor is very unprofessional and disorganized.I reached out to him regarding a property and he told me it had just leased. It remained on the listing site for days. I was contacted by a realtor who later told me she showed it was available & not leased out. Steven had told my realtor an elderly person lived there & he would be there to let us in. We arrived to the home and no one was living there apparently he had gotten the property confused with another one even though my realtor confirmed the address. We had to wait 20 minutes because he scheduled her appointment in his name so it would not allow her to scan the lockbox because it said it was booked to him and he had just walked into a meeting. He eventually came to let us in. Once I showed interest in the property, he eventually told my realtor to "not have me waste my money putting in an application," because he had "just received" an application and the person was going to pay for 1 year's rent up front and they planned to select this person once the application was approved on Monday, this was a Saturday when we toured the property. He was "friends with the owner, they were doing much together, blah, blah, blah.... He did let us know if that person didn't come through "I would be next in line and he would let us know on Monday." Monday came and went this property is still online as available and he never contacted us. What a joke of a realtor! If you are looking for a professional, upstanding, organized, and considerate realtor look elsewhere! read more

This Review is for Ben Baker- Ben was the sellers agent for my property I was selling. He started off by not getting the Option period check (which we gave them a 10-day period instead of the standard 7 days) within the required 48 hours- which would have put them under contract automatically with no option. But we were generous and let them have the option period. He then told us that the out of town buyer's family member wanted to look at it, on the last day of the option period, which was also move out day for us, so that created a completely hectic situation on top of moving. After the option period was over, Ben then told our Realtor that they wanted curtains in the house after thier walkthrough (the house was not shown with curtains in two rooms, only the hardware remained). Our Realtor, in order to make the deal go through. went and bought curtains for 8 windows, to make them happy. And then Ben (I'm assuming knowing what he did wasn't right) told our Realtor, he never said she had to. Why would she think anything else, when she asked how the family member's walk through went, he said they wanted curtains?!?!? The buyers, also never accepted our repair money offer, and then Ben had said that he forgot to send it to our Realtor and the Title company. Therfore it did not make the closing documents, he asked if we could just cut a personal check at the closing. This being highly illegal, upset the Tittle company and since we were out of town for this, they stated that since we had already offered it, it didn't matter when they accepted and we ended up having to pay it, even though they never accepted. I would expect more out of someone who has been in the business for years, and is a Realtor trainer. read more

Ben Baker was the sellers agent for the property I bought. He was unprofessional from the beginning and by the end I found him THREATING. He didn't communicate effectively so much so that on closing day he owner was still not out of the house and wasn't planning to be until the end of the month. MY agent was the one that caught this and we had to move closing to the next day so we could get a lease back agreement in or she would have been out on the street. Then after closing trying to come get him to get the key lock off my door took me calling the police to file a report because of his threats, calling Keller Williams and ultimately filing a complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission. His client, left the house in a WRECK, took all the light bulbs, took the water line to the refridgerator (who does that), broke the kitchen water faucet. Then he wanted to know if I would give her back 74.00 for moving out two days early, when I explained to him NO and why...well read above that was the result. My sister hired Brad Benat as her realtor earlier this summer and urged me to do the same. Unfortunately I had an established relationship with the realtor who helped me buy my house, so when it was time to sell I gave him the first shot at it. I'm sorry I did, because in two months he didn't generate a single offer on the place. I had to pay him $1500 to go away, then delisted the property and eventually re-listed with Brad, who secured an offer on it during the first open house. Pricing it more strategically made a difference, but so did Brad's professionalism and that of his team. I was impressed by the "automated" process they use. I got daily email updates, checklists, and reminders about what I needed to do (if anything) at each stage in the sale. Brad's easy to reach by text or phone and I never felt like I was being rushed through questions. I communicated with his office by email only, but they were really fast about replying whenever I used that venue. Basically I didn't have to lift a finger and they led me by the hand for the entire sale process. They were also a huge help in getting me into a great rental property so I could have my things out of the house while it was on the market. Brad also attended the closing, which in my home-buying/selling experience isn't always standard operating procedure. I'm not sure what's going on with some of the office's negative reviews on this site, but I got the impression of a well-organized, well-run office with good communication skills. I've owned and sold three homes now, and Brad's easily the most effective, communicative, and personable agent I've worked with. read more

This is a review for Ronny Phillip. I have dealt with several realtors in the Dallas area and this is the only one who blatantly lied to me. I called this guy due to him being the listing agent on a house I wanted to see and I told him on the phone that I would not sign any type of contract and asked if he would show me the house. He said yes and went on selling himself about how he works predominantly out of the area I want to buy in. He asks if I would come to his office to go over a few things, that should have been the first warning sign. So, I drive from downtown Dallas to Plano where I waited for approximately 15 minutes after the appointment time before he showed up (he did contact me to let me know he would be late) and after about 30 minutes of him asking me questions about what I'm looking for (which a few were redundant so I feel like he wasn't really paying attention) and more attempts at selling himself to me, he pulls up a contract on his laptop. His story changed from how I didn't have to sign it and I would still see the property to how I had to sign it or he wouldn't show the property. I had a realtor from out of state on conference to have him explain to me what it was, I felt this necessary due to his fumbling over words attempting to con me into signing this thing. In short, I was deceived to get me to the office where he attempted to con and pressure me into signing a contract. Regardless of how many houses anyone sells, using these types of tactics are completely unprofessional. This was a disgusting experience and a waste of an hour and a half of my time in a market where houses go sometimes the day they are listed. read more

I bought a building, Brad Benat was the sellers agent, another woman in this office was my agent. I'm looking at a lawsuit now to clean up the mess that this group put me in. We met Lindsay Taylor when we stopped by an open house in our neighborhood, she was awesome from our first meeting--really listened to what we were looking for in a home and from a realtor. We are so glad we found her, we've both had some frustrations with realtors in the past and were cautiously optimistic that we'd have a better experience with her. Lindsay really championed us during our first offer, gave us our options for next steps, and was clear on where we were in the process. Right after our first offer fell through, she made herself available that same weekend to look at other options. We've been moved in to our first home in Dallas -- we had challenges with the seller's agent and she was invaluable in making sure that we got the home for the price we wanted, got the issues we had resolved, and even got the beautiful curtains that were shown with the house! She truly addressed all our needs throughout the transaction and even helped make sure the sellers agent picked up the for sale sign and lock box after we moved in.
