Recently discovered this little cookie corner and they're surprisingly good! The cookie variety I tried was very delicious and I especially loved the customizable option which gives you the choice of both toppings and chocolate dip. They hand dip the shortbreads fresh right in front of you. The store is clean and the employee was very welcoming and kind. Shortbread heaven! I used to cringe when the wife went to Kelley's Kookies around the holiday season. Almost like a second mortgage. But now in retrospect I see the value of these fantastic baked goods being returned many times over from family and friends. I hate to say it , but man these are better than grandma used to make. Many a late night I'd sneak into the kitchen and pour a big glass of milk, open a pack of the gift cookies and before ya knew it, the cookies were gone. You'll be gobbling these things up like there's no tomorrow. You can't go wrong with any of their shortbread kookies. Try the Melting Moments. It's a small round kookie with nuts and covered in powdered sugar. It really melts in your mouth. They make great gifts for friends and family. Guys, get these kookies for your woman and she'll do ANYTHING. Cook? Clean? Need a sandwich? Consider it DONE. Really? Nah....but you can try. The bad thing is that you don't get alot in each bag and they're not cheap. Still, totally worth it because of the quality. If you haven't had Kelley's Kookies yet, you have to try them! I've got a huge sweet tooth and this place takes care of my cookie fix better than Mrs. Fields, the Keebler elves, or Famous Amos. Maybe if all three of them had a magical, cookie-wizard, love child, that'd be a different story... This is actually the second location (that I know of) for Kelley's Kookies. They used to be down in Cypress, but grew out of their previous shop. Even though this is a newer location, you still get the same great taste! Using 100% natural ingredients, plus a little thing called love, this place makes absolutely wonderful cookies that will leaving you wanting more, and more, and more. I know that when I stop by, I never pick up a basket (cuz I'll go broke trying to buy a package of each); I only buy what I can carry in my hands. It's kinda dangerous that way... Anyway, their cookies are Hawaiian style, which means that they're all made with a lot of mayonaise, some lomi lomi salmon, butterfish, poi, and a touch of kalua pork. Just kidding, brah! Joke only! My guess is that each cookie has a little bit of 'Aloha' in every bite (hey, that sounds like a pretty good slogan). Cookie flavors/varieties include: chocolate chip, oatmeal crisp, chocolate-dipped shortbread, macadamia chocolate chip, lemon shortbread, macadamia ice box, macadamia shortbread, melting moments, peanut butter, pecan shortbread, raspberry dreams, and the good ol' fashioned sugar cookie. Yelp has disappointed me this time. I was so excited to find a local cookie company with such great reviews. Store was completely empty and silcent. The gentlemen was very helpful and even offered me a sample. I didn't want to be rude but after trying the sample I pretty much already knew I wasn't going to be a big fan. I still didn't give up hope and decided to purchase a bag of chocolate cookies. You would think how can someone go wrong with a chocolate chip cookie. Well lets just I ate one and left the rest at my moms house hoping my newphews and neices would finish them so they don't go to waste. I came back to my moms house a few days later and there were only a few missing. Way over priced as well. I still didn't give up hope and relied on yelp finding me found another cookie place. Was told it's normal to dip cookies with bare hands, so I give it a 4 star now (instead of 2). Had to minus the 1 star because their prices have gone up over the years. These cookies make a great gift, but a little too pricey (and fattening) to eat on a daily basis. This is not really as much a cookie bakery as it is a retail store front for a mail order cookie business. it is located off Katella in a strip mall next to a pet shop. They do not offer fresh baked cookies, instead they sell the same cookies that are available by mail order in the same cellophane packaging. Unfortunately, they do not discount the cookies at all. The cookies available include shortbread, mini chocolate chips and snowballs (powdered sugar). The cookies really are much better than what you would expect from a grocery store but are not as good as fresh baked cookies from a high end bakery. The snowballs are probably the best packaged ones I have ever had. While I liked this place, it is really just a factory store and one that should offer discount prices as an incentive. read more

Found the Kelley's Kookies booth at the Heritage of Aloha Fest in Santa Fe Springs recently and what a treat! All it took was a sample of the macadamia shortbread and I told Tim that we have to get them immediately...and the ones dipped in chocolate, and the lemon meltaways. I actually ate all of them so fast that I didn't have anything to take a picture of for Yelp. They were gone on the car ride home, didn't stand a chance. Found this place randomly when attempting to go to Gomen (ramen place next door)... sooooo glad we walked in! Shop looks pretty small and unassuming, no fresh baked cookies here - kind of threw me off - instead you're faced with two shelves of different cookies. We looked at the variety of cookies and a worker came out, covered in flour (that's always a good sign). He was pretty helpful in helping us pick out what we wanted - we were pretty indecisive. THEY ARE DELICIOUS! Forgive me that I don't remember their exact names but I'm sure you can recognize them easily enough if/when you choose to go. There are mocha balls covered powder sugar - they crumble in your mouth. Delicious. Little bits of coffee(?) inside that give it a little more coffee flavor when chewing. Watch out when you're eating them though, the crumbly cookie and the powder sugar can be the ticket to disaster (I'd say it's worth the clean-up though!). Raspberry Dream - I'm not normally a huge raspberry fan as there tend to be lots of seeds... nothing in these. Shortbread outside is crumbly, raspberry filling has what looks like to be actual raspberries (gasp!). A winner because they aren't overly sweet like most raspberry or berry filled confectionaries tend to be. Chocolate dipped Macadamia - again, LOVE the texture. The chocolate isn't too sweet, makes for a perfect blend. Slightly crumbly texture as well, not too soft, not too firm.. love it. Delicious! On a whim, I purchased a few bags of Kelley's Kookies while visiting the San Mateo Fairgrounds for the Aloha Festival a couple of weeks ago. I had never tried this brand before, nor did I have any expectation for what their cookies would taste like. While looking at the individually packed bags, all the cookies looked fresh and they had a wide assortment of flavors. There were a lot of choices to choose from, but I narrowed it down to Macadamia chocolate chip, Guava dreams, Shortbread & Chocolate dipped macadamia shortbread. Everything was yummy! The texture of the shortbread cookies was buttery but not overwhelming.... and the cookie itself is just the right size for an afternoon snack. The little bite sized chocolate chip cookies were crispy and chocolatey good. 4-5 little cookies in one sitting has been my average. As for the guava dreams...well... it indeed was dreamy. The guava cranberry filling was a perfect complement to the exterior shortbread cookie. Just writing this review is making me crave an afternoon cookie! Looks like some of my family & friends will be getting some Kelley's Kookies as stocking stuffers this year. Can't hardly wait....because that will mean that I can buy some more cookies for myself too!! =o) read more

Kelley's Kookies are da BOMB! So yummy. I grew up with it and I still love it to this day. If you ever are in LA, go check it out. Way better than Mrs. Fields and much better than those generic mass produced cookies from the market. This is a small Hawaiian family owned bakery with all the love. Named after their daughter, the cookies are so fresh and home made. It is like eating cookies prepared by martha, but much tastier yet looks so scrumpdidliumptious. Love this place. Today was my first visit to Kelley's Kookies. Out of my expectations! My boyfriend and I got Melting Moments, which is their most popular item, and Guava Dreams, which is my random pick. We were satisfied by both of them. Not too sweet. Rich of flavors. I actually really like the Guava Dreams since it is kinda chewy and the guava flavor doesn't overpower the flavor of old-fashioned shortbread. I wish I had had a cup of tea at that time. That would have been perfect. Maybe Kelley's Kookies should think of selling tea at their stores :) Definitely worth another visit soon! read more

Just bought $21 in cookies at the Stanton location. While checking out the cashier had gloves on but I could see the baker lady dipping cookies with NO gloves on, and NO hair net. I asked the cashier, and he said Oh, she washes her hands a lot, I'm wearing gloves because we use chemicals at the counter. YIKES, what chemicals???? Not good Kelleys! The store is a bit bare and its not like a normal bakery. They sell prepackaged cookies with prices that are a little more expensive than a typical bakery. I got a package of sugar cookies which contained about 8 cookies and it cost about $4-something. The cookies were pretty tasty but the problem I have with this place is that they don't have a normal bakery display and they're not fresh. So you have to buy a package, you can't buy individual cookies. I want to try the cookie before I start buying more than one. It looks like all the cookies are good though. If you want to give them as a gift or take it to a party then I suggest getting some Kelley's Kookies. If you just want a little treat, I suggest going to another bakery. read more

TORTUREEEEE! Why, oh why, Kelley's Kookies do you torment me so by being so far from me (an hour flight or an hour drive for the nearest supply)!?!? You torment me like the witches tormented Macbeth. I discovered Kelley's Kookies standing in a check-out line at a Mitsuwa Market in Los Angeles on a business trip, and wish I never did. I went to Mitsuwa hunting for Udon Noodles for a dish I was supposed to present to a potential client (I work in food service). As I was ready to check out, while waiting in line, next to me was a rack of cookies all from Kelley's. All the flavors called out to me. I looked and drooled and dreamed of consuming them all. I ended up getting a bag of mini choco-chip/macadamian cookies and dark chocolate dipped shortbread cookies. And I was HOOKED! After my presentation, I came straight back to Mitsuwa and bought a crap load of cookies. My return trip totaled 6 bags of mini cookies and 2 bags of dark chocolate dipped shortbread cookies. You may ask, "Why so many bags of cookies, you glutton?" My answer would be that I was afraid.... afraid of when I could taste these cookies again so I bought a lot to bring back with me for my personal stash. Found this place through yelp and since then been back here quite often & have tried mostly all the cookies. I'd say it's a nice little hole in the wall cookie shop. Definitely a bit pricey ($5~$8 for a small package of cookies) but great for gifts and special occasions... or just treating yourself out after a long day :) I have to admit I was a bit disappointed when I walked into the store though, since I was imagining a small bakery type place with freshly baked cookies lined behind a glass display... But actually, what they have are just two small wooden shelves with the prepackaged cookies lined up. I honestly don't know if the cookies here are any more "fresh" than the ones you can order online... probably not worth the trip if you live far. With that being said though, I'd say the Melting Moments by itself deserves this place a solid 4 stars!! I haven't had cookies like these anywhere else!! These crumbly sugary coffee goodness literally just MELT in your mouth! and they are soo addicting!! Make sure you eat them over a plate or a napkin though cuz it can get messy!! read more

The Kelley's Delight is an absolute delight, in fact I think it's one of the two that I really liked. The pecan shortbread is very rich and every bite I take, I think about all the extra calories going straight to my hips. The price is ridiculously high. I would only go here once in a while, not something that I will go ever so frequently because of the price. If it was cheaper, I'll probably buy some as gifts for friends and family. I didn't like shortbread cookies until Kelley Kookies changed my mind. I love LOVE them! Yesterday, I bought 2 pre-assorted cookie gift boxes and the presentation/ boxes were so pretty! Even though it's "pre-assorted", all the cookies were taken from a fresh batch. My friends who never had it LOVED it! It's a great gift idea that won't break the bank. This place is very good and you have to be willing to spend some money on it. They do have the clearance cookies which is very nice as it is half off. If you check in you get a free cookie which is $1.50 value and custom made which is nice. They are cheaper than getting it at the Markukai Markets or Japanese ones. The shop is also small as well. Selection is really awesome as well. I do like the chocolate chip macadamia nuts which is really really good. The place is very enjoyable and a great place to go to. read more
