This place is very good and you have to be willing to spend some money on it. They do have the clearance cookies which is very nice as it is half off. If you check in you get a free cookie which is $1.50 value and custom made which is nice. They are cheaper than getting it at the Markukai Markets or Japanese ones. The shop is also small as well. Selection is really awesome as well. I do like the chocolate chip macadamia nuts which is really really good. The place is very enjoyable and a great place to go to. read more

Awesome cookies! I'm not an expert in sweets (especially cookies), but I could tell right away that these cookies were definitely different. A word "gourmet" really goes well with these cookies. What I liked about this cookie shop was the variety of cookies they had. From neapolitan chocolate-dipped cookies to simple chocolate cookies, they had all sorts of cookies in display. The store was very well-organized and gave off the modern environment with the simple and neat decorations. I bought various cookies--Orange Delight, Chocolate-dipped Macademia Shortbread, Neapolitan Delight, and Coconut Delight. All these cookies were half dipped in chocolate. FYI, Orange Delight was dipped in dark chocolate (the cookie itself had a somewhat strong orange flavor), Neapolitan Delight and Macademia Shortbread in milk chocolate, and Coconut Delight in white chocolate, I believe. My favorite of them all was Neapolitan Delight, but other cookies were superb as well! I wouldn't say that the price is on a cheap side, though. But it's worthwhile to try their cookies at least once in a while :) read more

Kelley's has an amazing customer service and delightful cookies. I've been coming here for years and have never been let down. My favorite must try is there pumpkin shortbread during the fall season. It's nice to know there's a storefront for Kelley's only 10 miles from home. I drove my Mom there to get some gifts for Easter. There's tons of parking in that strip mall in Stanton which I didn't know existed before (city or mall). There's one person dipping cookies, one person manning the counter and one person in the back baking. They all look really bored and a smile didn't get any of them to crack so much as a grin, but at least it's clean in there and the bags of cookies are about $0.49 cheaper than buying it from Gelson's in Long Beach. They handed me my free for Yelp check-in cookie in an individual bag without protest and they were quite willing to help out boxing everything up. For spring they are offering a white chocolate almond cherry cookie, lemon drops and a peanut butter cookie back in Stanton. The samples are stale so none of them tasted enough to tempt us to buy any. Given the shortbread focus, I'd give them the nod as California's answer to the Honolulu Cookie Company with a price tag to match. Interesting to note that we stopped by Gelson's afterward, and they offered at least two varieties not carried in the dedicated store: a lavendar honey shortbread and a chocolate and toffee dipped shortbread. After a random adventure visit to Anaheim, my friends and I were in search of a "dessert" place on Yelp and this place popped up of all other places. In an effort to fulfill our cravings for sweets, we headed on a mission to Kelly's to help combat our hunger. Upon arriving, we weren't all expecting what we were greeted with. Cookies, just cookies. No ice cream, no candy, no macaroons, no doughnuts, just plain 'ol cookies, lol. Don't get me wrong, Kelly's "Kookies" are bite sized goodies and have a unique taste, but we just weren't expecting it to feel like we were shopping through a boutique with staff waiting for us to pick something and there really wasn't much selection at the time. Talk about pressure! Hah! Well, rather than walk out rudely, we all picked up the highly suggested cookies to take home to all our parents since we figured they would appreciate it more. We did eat a bag of their Macadamia Nut cookies and dusted through it since they were small bites. Would I come back? Ehh, probably not. Everyone is different and has different expectations and for me, after having tried it once, I'm good. I will add that they do present their cookies well especially if you're giving them as gifts. The staff will box up those goodies for you and place it in a nice Kelly's Kookies bag... If you want moist chewy cookies this is not the place for you or for me ! The cookies are buttery, crunchy quite dense, not too sweet which is a plus for me. The cookies are good , but in my opinion just one step up from sugar cookies in a tin box. The staff member helping us was extremely helpful, and informative about their products . While the decor is clean and simple I think it could use some work. I was hesitant to even walk in because it wasn't OBVIOUS to me that this establishment was even up and running. The moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with a sweet aroma that makes you want to eat all the kookies!!! I first found about these cookies the other day when I was shopping at a small grocery store, and was intrigued by the fact that they made macadamia shortbread. Today, I visited the bakery for the first time in person and was very impressed with their assortment of different cookies they had to offer. One of my wife's coworkers gave her a little bag of macadamia chocolate chip cookies to take home. Normally, these types of things are re-gifted items that nobody wants, so I looked at the bag with a healthy amount of skepticism. They were tiny cookies. The bag was nondescript. Hmm.... One taste proved me completely wrong! These little cookies are AMAZING! I really had to hold myself back from polishing off the entire bag (they are tiny, but they're not fat-free!), so I split it up into three portions over three days and included a 4 mile walk every night to offset the calories. The cookies are crispy and rich with a lot of flavor packed into a tiny punch! Yum! Strangely enough, I was in a Nijiya market in San Jose's Japantown today and saw an entire display set up for Kelley's Kookies with a whole variety of flavors, so now I know where to go and get them easily! read more

I like the location, and my sister and I had such a fun little trip wandering through the little shops one day. We stopped into Kelley's Kookies and bought a few treats. I found that the cookies I bought were too buttery for my taste. I believe they were passion fruit flavored, but all I could taste was butter. My sister got some sort of chocolate chip cookie, which she was quite pleased with. I am of the mind that good service and atmosphere is enough for someone to give an establishment a second, third, and even fourth try. I have done that with many places in the area, and some of those have become my favorite spots on the citadel! ;) With that said, I would definitely try Kelley's again.
