This place is amazing. Their soft serve is not a Typical soft serve. It's different, and full of richness. I tried their sundae butterscotch, and I was in a world of delightfulness. I wanted to get another one right after I finished the first, but something came up so I couldn't. I am definitely looking forward for another one. I Also want to add that the staff here are very friendly and I could see how patient they were. I care about quality but when the staff is nice that just adds more to the flavor. Kell's Kreme has fantastic old-school soft serve. There are no surprises here, really, just some good old-fashioned swirly cones. Well, they do have some dips (chocolate, cherry, butterscotch) and toppings (sprinkles, nuts) for those cones, and they do have a gigantic banana split and brownie sundae. They recently got the flavor burst thing that transforms plain old vanilla or chocolate soft serve into something slightly more interesting, but they won't dip that type, so I've stayed away. So I just stick to the kiddie cone of soft serve, usually a swirly cone, and usually get it dipped in either chocolate or cherry. Coupled with a stroll along the beach on a warm night, I'd say it's one of the simple pleasures of summer. read more

Changing customer service, one yelp review at a time. Last Saturday, June 12, 2014 I decided that i'd walk down to this establishment to get an ice cream, as it was a very hot day on the beach. It was finally my turn at the counter. I said hi, to your counter worker. Maybe I please have a kid size twist in a dish with jimmies. One would think that is what I wanted. I was then asked by this counter worker after rolling her eyes at me, if i wanted a medium chocolate ice ream with rainbow sprinkles... I looked all around because maybe I was wrong and it was not my turn. Nope... It was my turn. So I said, no. I would like a kid size twist in a dish with jimmies. To which i was then asked umm is that like chocolate and vanilla together?? REALLY... I get it, it's ice cream, you don't want to be there. But really, duhhhh. The rest of the expierence was not overly enjoyable either. I was then spoken to sternly by the useless person behind the table inside who I can only assume was the "manager." My advice, stay away unless you have the patience for repeating yourself and handling eye rolls. read more

Serving the BIGGEST brownie sundaes ever, and amazing soft serve ice cream! Seriously considered one of the best ice cream places around here, although I wish they had more flavors/hard serve (hard serve?). Park on the beach and grab some Kelly's Roast Beef, and get some Kell's Kreme afterwards. And stroll on the beach to work it off. Fabulous. Best date ever! read more

great service! employees are very helpful when trying to get an understanding of what they have to offer. it's understandable when the line is down the street and they're a little tired on a busy nights. they do their hardest to keep their customers happy! size portions are very generous. and don't get me started on their real chocolate jimmies!!! their dole whip is phenomenal and they offer many flavors. one of my family members has a peanut allergy and they went above and behind to provide safe service by opening a brand new box of sprinkles for their ice cream. love love love this place and all the hard workers in it! read more

Obscene portions, the vanilla soft serve was really bland but surprisingly creamy and even refreshing. The lemon Italian Ice was actually quite good! Not too sweet, and really refreshing on that hot beachy kind of day. It was cool to see how much business this place had and how the little tykes were soooo into their ice cream treats. So I take my aunt there for a hot fudge sundae at 10:30pm; they don't close until 11pm. They weren't able to do anything but soft serve cones because they machines were being cleaned for the night. Seriously? If a place is opened until 11pm, then they shouldn't already be cleaning the machines 30 minutes early. There were still plenty of people in line to get ice cream....it is summer after all! Huge disappointment, and I'm more than happy to drive to someplace else. read more

Soft-serve is kind of all the same (when you always get half vanilla/half chocolate swirl like me), but it's pretty much perfect for the beach. The window-servers were nice, and a small cone is generously filled. For some reason it melted REALLY fast though, made a mess, I think it had something to do with the wind as it wasn't even hot out when I was there. Avoid dripping ice cream everywhere by getting a bowl instead of a cone. They seem to have non-soft-serve options as well, but I didn't bother looking. Kell's Kreme on Revere Beach claims to be "World Famous" and I believe it! Their ice cream sandwich is very large and delicious. I've had the sundae and the Banana Bucket, which is: ice cream, bananas, chocolate syrup, strawberries, pineapple and real whipped cream. I've seen some 'big" eaters in line almost every time, I guess that's when you know it's good! read more

I was very disappointed in the suppose ice cream I got....for one thing it should let you know that there are taxes on it and I got a small cup of pistachio...joke...it was vanilla ice cream with this green stripes through it...I thought it was awful and the people I was with was not very pleased with their ice cream either read more

If you are looking for ice cream on Revere Beach, you should skip Kell's and walk down to Banana Boat. The selection at Kell's is pretty weak, and the service is terrible. The ice cream is ok, but overpriced. The hot fudge sauce is pretty tasty, but is not nearly enough to make up for everything else. I won't be going back! read more

if you're looking for excellent soft serve with superb service at a reasonable price, do not hesitate to stop by Kell's Kreme! the chocolate jimmies are the best thing to happen to America since sliced bread (and yes, they're real chocolate, not the brown waxy ones)! the real hot fudge is perfect and HOT with the amazing brownie sundae perfect for sharing, or indulging! the service is always pleasant and you always get a big bright smile. very accommodating to allergies as well. my son has a nut allergy and they made sure his jimmies were nut-free! I definitely recommend taking a walk down the beach and enjoying a famous banana bucket!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a refreshing Richie's slush too everything is so fresh too! the whipped cream is freshly made all the time and it is the perfect topper to any sundae!! they also have the same Dole Whip that you'll find in Disney. it's almost as magical as Disney too. just close your eyes and you're at Disney. read more

Kells Kreme has the best soft-serve I've ever had! It tastes so similar to the frozen custard that I get here at home. The employees were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - directly on the ocean with plenty of seating (a 3 mile wall). It is nothing like the Dairy Queen soft serve. Kells is smooth, thick, creamy and deeelicious! The Hot fudge is to die for and their chocolate jimmies were unbelievable! I even bought a pound to take home with me. Although I didn't get it, they have a strawberry shortcake that is so enormous that is made with a fresh biscuit! Definately a place I will come back to. read more
