2 scoops of coconut ice cream bottom layered with walnuts and Reece's Pieces topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream

Feel like one of the only original beach establishments left on the boulevard. The 90s feel takes me bake to my bike riding days down Revere Beach. Keep in mind I've been here a million times and I even used to deliver slush here when I was younger working for Richie's slush. The team was on point tonight I went in there with a dream and my man Riley made it happen. I sampled the coconut I cream and we went to work. I got a 2 scoop (coconut) Sunday with walnuts Reece's Pieces whipped cream with a cherry on top. Layered on the bottom and sprinkled on the top to make what I will now call the Chambers coconut special. So good had to go back and make sure I got the kids name right. What a way to sol in the final days of summer with a giant moon above and an insanely excellent ice cream Sunday to top it all off.

I love you Twist & Shake, un-cone-ditionally!! This summer, I had no other craving except for a waffle cone of coffee cookies and cream ice cream from Twist & Shake. There's something about the temperature of the ice cream here that makes it so devour-able and pleasant. There is never freezer burn on the ice cream and all the toppings are super fresh!! Twist & Shake exclusively carries Richardson's ice cream. They don't have all the flavors offered compared to going directly to Richardson's, but I don't really mind cause I only care about the coffee cookies and cream and the Kahlua brownie! Get these flavors- you won't regret it!! This location is unfortunately closed for the (winter) season and will reopen when the weather is warmer but their Winthrop location stays open all year round. In the summertime, expect a LONG line. But it is worth the wait- TRUST ME! One scoop here is all I need because the one scoop here is a humongous one. So much value for the reasonable price they charge for ice cream on the beach. The inside of this ice cream shop is charming; with pink and purple colored walls and hand written menu boards. There aren't many seats inside but why would you want to sit inside when you can bring your ice cream just a few steps away to enjoy on the beach?! Most of the employees here seem to be students who work part-time in the summer and in my interactions with them, all seem to be pretty friendly. 10/10 recommend!

Bring along those elastic pants for a delightful visit to Twist & Shake. With too many flavors, hard and soft serve, you could order something different for a month and not expire the choices. Sure you'd be somewhere in the three-bills weight range by month-end, but you'd have gotten there in a blaze of creamy glory! For those into the "lighter fare", head to the Italian Ice and slush section for plenty of options there as well. Tonight was not going to be a trip through Italy for me in the least. It's gonna be all-cream, all the time. Greeted with a "what'll you have handsome" as I stepped into the ring (aw you're just saying that to make me feel bettah), I resisted the urge for stage fright. "Two scoops. Scoop One: blackberry. Scoop two: coconut. Waffle cone." My night quickly was headed south as I heard "we don't have any waffle cones left do we?" It was almost too much to bear. "I can take a cup instead", meekly, all hope lost. But then from the ice cream ashes, a glimmer of hope from the girl in the back: "I think we have one more." Jackpot, somebody go take a chance because You can ride my last-waffle-cone luck all the way to the bank. I happily traded too much money for this beautiful stack of pointy-bottomed goodness and left before anybody saw there were no more waffles. Oh I almost forgot, they have a wide selection of hard and soft-serve, along with frappes, floats, sundaes, boats. There's even kiddie stuff for those tricking their children into not ordering something huge. I'll sample the other wares on my next stroll along America's Oldest Public Beach.

I came with my friend on a Sunday afternoon for a sweet treat. There was a really long line when we arrived. I ordered an Italian ice with watermelon, lemon, and blue raspberry. It was one of the yummiest things I've ever had! The fruity flavors tastes so delicious together! I could've happily eaten 3 more servings of my order! The service was quick, despite being stuck in a really long line. They took our orders ahead of time so it was ready by the time we got to the register. Overall, we were really happy with our experience! I can't wait to get more Italian ice!

$6.10 for one scoop of ice cream (Oreo cookie) and waffle cone

This time around I'll need to serve a 1 star to this well situated ice cream joint. The ice cream had no flavour except for the flavour of the fridge - you know when you leave things uncovered in the fridge and it develops the flavour of the fridge air? - that's what I mean. I've never had bad or flavourless ice cream until now. I suppose their flavours here can either be a hit or a miss and vary on freshness. The waffle cone was also the worst I've ever had. It also tasted like nothing - not even sweet. No buttery or saltiness to it (which you can tell by the light color of the cone) and made with no love. Waffle cones are supposed to taste like brown sugar and a little bit buttery. Service was quick. Ambience nothing to comment on since it's a take out place.

I drove out to Revere beach on a whim as I had some free time before catching my flight back home from Boston. I was craving ice cream and found Twist & Shake right on the beach. The server was very helpful and whipped me up a delicious blueberry and cheesecake swirl soft serve, which I enjoyed on their outdoor patio seating while watching the ocean! I recommend this place!

If you happen to be at Revere Beach and you're craving something cold and sweet, you have to make a pit stop here! They have a wide selection of menu items (ice cream, sundaes, frappes, etc.) but if you order ice cream, I recommend you go for the waffle cone. You won't regret it!

I bought my kids here yesterday and this place is amazing. A whole lot of variety of flavors to choose from. I got coffee flavored ice cream, my sons got vanilla, my daughters got cotton candy and bananas. Their one scoop is huge. Look like 3 scoop to me ! Way more then enough for me! The best part is it's right across the street from the beach!

Nice staff, delicious flavors, they pile on toppings, and good portion sizes. Favorite ice cream place in Revere without a doubt.

I've heard folks raving about this place for years, so finally decided to swing by and try it out…read more First off, must say I'm a bit of a skeptic regarding specialty ice cream shops: with one exception (a now-defunct "frozen custard" shop in Friendswood, Texas of all places, where you could see the super-dense/rich stuff glacially oozing out of the machine, and one milkshake's worth of it kept me full for the rest of the day!) I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.

I built my own with custard fish, twist ice cream, caramel sauce, and Oreo crumbs. Beautiful presentation and honestly delicious. The cone smelled and tasted so great. The custard is more of a cream but still good. Where I'm being picky: the cone could've been a little crispier and the toppings were pretty minimal. I couldn't taste or see any of the caramel sauce and the Oreo dust is so fine I think I inhaled more of it into my lungs than I actually ate. I wish it was actual mashed up pieces not fine dust. We will definitely be back though! I just won't get Oreo crumbs next time.

We got our ice cream and ate out in the courtyard area, seaport is such a nice place. I got a matcha soft-serve in a taiyaki cone with red bean, and my bf got a vanilla one. The ice cream and taiyaki fish tasted great, my only gripe was how incredibly messy it was to eat. There was such a large volume of ice cream in the cone itself that I wasn't able to eat fast enough and it started melting all over my hands and arms. Like it was crazy. I was eating this ice cream like an animal. It would be nice if they served this with a cup or something. So I just feel like if you're not someone who can inhale a giant ice cream this is not for you. I would just get a plain taiyaki fish treat with ice cream on the side.
