The endodontist told us to find an alternate dentist to finish the crown. Weeks later we received a bill for hundreds of dollars. The front desk receptionist was rude and dismissive. Stay away!!

Crowns look great, but what's underneath doesn't…read more After their initial root canal and crown (done wrong), I ended up with a year-long infection that eventually required an apicoectomy and then a full root canal redo by an endodontist -- who was shocked they had let it go so long (more than a year) and hadn't caught, on imaging, that the entire root canal seal had failed and was leaking. Right after the crowns were placed more than a year ago, I called them in urgent pain -- but they didn't answer for a full week because of "phone issues." In desperation, I went to a 24/7 dentist who misdiagnosed me. When they finally answered the next day, I went back because they knew my case and I didn't want to risk losing my new crowns. They loaded me with antibiotics, did the apicoectomy, and gave me a free bottle of "fairy dust" mouthwash, assuring me that time would help. It didn't. They could have caught this much earlier with proper imaging like an MRI and a timely referral to an endodontist. Instead, it was delay after delay, unnecessary procedures, and more pain than I should have endured. I will not be returning. I paid a lot of money for a nice crown with a hole in it.

a while ago i got a series of fillings. the procedure was fine, but several of the teeth that were…read morefilled required root canals not soon after the fillings, which i think was unusual and disappointing. i got one of the root canals here, it was one of my front teeth and in a few weeks it turned gray. i was given no knowledge that this could happen and i'll need another treatment if i ever want to fix it. also, i asked for some drugs to calm my anxiety during the root canal because i wasn't experienced with them and was scared. the doctor ground something into a powder and dropped it on my tongue. never was i told what this drug is or what it does. it was ok, though i silently cried the whole time. then when it was over i was crying and forgetting and crying and forgetting some more. it was an ordeal for my boyfriend because he was confused why i kept forgetting what happened 15 minutes ago and i was confused because i didn't know what he was talking about. again we were never warned of these side effects. (my emotions are my own, but short term memory loss is something they definitely should've stated clearly. maybe they did and i forgot! haha. but no seriously they should've made us more aware of these serious side effects before i took the drug.) anyway at the end the assistant made me take some tylenol or something and she watched as i spilled the water all down my front because obviously i was too numb to be drinking anything. she even gave me a mirror like that would help but it just made it all the more embarrassing, and funny, though i was a bit annoyed at her incompetence. she had this look like a scared deer the whole time, and it's kind of part of her job to calm the patient so, just something to be aware of. yeah overall hated this place, bad vibes, bad communication. i'm sure they could be fine for other people especially if they're your regular but my experiences were not great. lightly traumatizing even, though i'm over it. i just don't want this happening to other people. step it up please! much love to you though!

The dentist said a hard one would be best so my teeth don't move since I wouldn't be able to wear a retainer with it. I paid for it. He said it was risk free bc if I didn't like it I could try something else. Well, it was extremely painful. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to it. I couldn't sleep bc it hurt so bad. I tried wearing it for an hour during the day and over time I got acclimated but then had insane rebound pain when I took it off. I went back to complain and the dentist said there's no way they made any mistakes with it and it must be my fault. Maybe my teeth moved because my retainer isn't in good condition. I asked if my teeth could really move that much in 2 weeks. He admitted that no, they couldn't. He seemed upset but finally allowed me to get a soft night guard. Turns out in my sleep I think a soft night guard is chewing gum! I woke up so sore I couldn't eat solid food that day. Did I go back and tell them? Heck no! I don't need to not be believed another time. Good for them, they got to keep my money. Definitely never going back.

Nice office with ample parking out back. The staff were behind a plastic screen and social distancing was enforced in the waiting room. They had an iPad for me to fill out the new patient forms and then I was off to the races. Gloves and masks were all in effect due to the pandemic and assuring public safety. My dental hygienist was super friendly and took me back right away. They had plenty of chairs at the location. This was one of the best teeth cleaning I have had EVER. She made sure and clean my teeth the way she would want hers cleaned. She also communicated as went with what she found. It was good to hear things like there was little to no plaque buildup, and just finishing up a couple of spots, etc.. Usually you just sit there and wait for it to be over. I enjoyed the updates of how things were and what she was seeing. ** Another plus. The doctor noticed in his practice that there was a need to capture airborne particles as they were cleaning. Most dentist the airborne particles splatter and go everywhere, your face, your glasses, on the hygienist, etc.. Because of this need the doctor created a device to hold a funnel on the vacuum to catch all those particles in the air. This allowed the hygienist to focus on the cleaning and not making a mess. The doctor had created it from PVC and it was light weight. It worked as intended. He could probably make a more refined solution and patent it. This is thinking outside of the box to make the patient more comfortable. Genius. Need more doctors that think like this. Front staff were super accommodating in scheduling and even made recommendations for things to consider. This was key as I realized that they were knowledgeable and not just there for clerical activities. It's not often you find a dental practice that is solid from front office to the back, but Draper Parkway Dental has figured out the formula for success and it has served them well over the years apparently. They know me by my first name and are always willing to go above and beyond. The dentil hygienists are extremely thorough with there cleanings as well as there gum and cancer screenings.
