Customer service skills are woefully lacking. Sales experience was great. Service leaves a lot to be desired unless you are paying, but GM's warranty coverage is not good. Lack of knowledge in the service department compounds the issue. read more

Not safe!!** After getting my wheels serviced, they forgot to tighten all five lug nuts on one of my wheels And it came dangerously close to falling off the vehicle while my wife and daughter were driving in the car alone. I realize that accidents happen, but when you are dealing with peoples lives, incompetence and negligence cannot be tolerated. This may have been an isolated incident or maybe it is reoccurring negligence. I got to tell you this amazing story, so I'm looking to replace my old baby who I used to call Pearl I loved her. Although she was a car. I'm old school. You give her a name. You take care of her every Sunday and wash her my brother-in-law. He's a police officer in Milwaukee and having a late night crashed her on his way home from duty, so in my search for a car I went to kelly Cadillac And as I wrote in a previous review, I had some bumps in the road. No pun intended LOL but what an amazing ending. They not only stepped up to the plate but they clean waxed and the owner, Jeff Kelly drove it to my house. Personally. The team at Kelly Cadillac is amazing. A shout out to Kim who sold me the car. She's an amazing sales rep. Wouldn't go anywhere else and KB one of the most sweetest and honest persons you'll ever meet in the service department. She holds a head chair and is well worthy of it but the owner. Now you think he'd be above and beyond the little stuff you stand corrected he's not. He's the man that gets down in the trenches. How do I know this? I'm a combat veteran. I've served in Iraq and Afghanistan and in Beirut. I'm a Marine corps through and through and I don't hold back then. I've also served in the Army for another 15 years. Long story short- I live in Boston, MA and currently own a 2006 Cadillac STS. I have always found that Cadillac dealers hire the best of the best sales people and technicians. With that being said, I have searched locally and afar for a very specific vehicle. I located it at Kelly Cadillac and have been working with Howard Solodky. He has been absolutely amazing. We are conducting this transaction over the telephone and by mail. I have been very particular with him to provide me numerous photos and some with the vehicle on the lift. Howard has been more the gracious and pleasant on the phone when I kept calling him back for more, more etc. ( I've never bought a car over the telephone ) I enjoy "kicking the tires" Howard has been absolutely OUTSTANDING. I use Kelly for my Saab needs when I'm in PA. They're a good shop and have recently renovated their waiting room, providing comfortable couches, TV and endless coffee. The waiting room is tucked away from the dealership, which is nice. I hate having to stare at people purchasing cars and hear dealers put on the sales pitch while I'm waiting for a dohicky on my car to be replaced. They also get bonus points for seeing my car last-minute during a snow & ice storm. I was driving to DC, stuck in traffic caused by said ice storm, and my car kept stalling. Nervous about the next 2hr leg of my drive, I called them and explained my situation, they told me to come on in and gave me great directions because I was coming from a different direction than usual. I started working with this dealership at the end of 2009. I was looking for a specific make, model, color, and features. I had done my homework and knowing since I wanted something so specific that the perfect combination might take awhile to find. I was fully committed to both my budget and the wait. My first experience with a member of the Kelly Cadillac sales staff was not positive. I walked in promptly laying out my expectations on the table and made it clear that THIS is what I wanted and I wasn't interested in anything else. Working in the industry myself I am familiar with the process of locating the perfect car and understand that it takes vigilance and dedication on the part of the salesman. Instead he took me out on the lot and showed me everything that I wasn't interested in even after I told him not to waste my time. He promised me the sun and the moon but never delivered. He never checked lease returns coming up for auction and over the course of the next few months I had to make contact with him and gently nudge him to keep "looking" as I was still patiently waiting for that perfect car. Obliviously customer service was not this salesman forte and that was realized by the dealership and he left their employment. My second encounter with a salesman, Howard Solodky, proved to be a perfect match. He understood my expectations and respected my knowledge of the business. He wasn't pushy but continued to touch base with me every few months to see if I found something elsewhere or if my budget and wants had changed. He also gave me the heads up to let me know a car meeting all of my criteria might be coming in as a trade shortly and once that was confirmed I was the first to know of its availability before it even hit the lot. Needless to say that car was perfect and I finalized the sale in Sept 2012. My overall experience with Kelly has been positive. I used their service dept several times and found them to be knowledgeable and very professional in their stance. We purchased a 2011 Escalade ESV about 18 months ago from Kelly. We got a very fair deal on the purchase and trade in. Our first experience with the service department was when we initiated our premium care maintenance and since then we have moved the servicing of all 4 of our vehicles (2 are non-cadillacs) to Kelly. The Service Manager (Lynn Yoder) is GREAT! Not only is he exceptionally customer friendly and constantly exhibits a CAN DO attitude, he is exceptionally competent at his craft. Service Department was very professional and the car runs GREAT! I was given a loaner car since it was not an hour or two to fix. My car was nice and clean when I picked it up. I was given a quote before I OK'd the repair work to be done. Now here is my mistake, I should have asked for a break down of the costs. Everything was OK except the replacement of a front light and a brake light. I had bought the brake light on my own ($3.00) as I thought I would be able to install it...how silly of me. I was not aware I had a front low beam head light out. The front light itself was $22 to $23. The real kick came in at $130 to install. That is over the top ridiculous. $130 to install two light bulbs. I had another front light replace at a local garage about 6 months ago for about $20 total. I will not make that mistake again. This type of thing is what makes people not like to deal with car dealers. Other than that I had a very good experience. read more
