Great service and reasonable prices. I started going there a few years ago when my car died just as I reached home. I had it towed to PA Auto Service because it was close. I thought there was something horribly (read expensively) wrong. Visions of hundreds of dollars in repairs. Turned out to be something simple and the total was about $50. I had been trying to find a mechanic for a weeks. I Googled the most honest mechanic in the area and Wayne's shop at the top of the list. I gave him a call he told me to come right there. He actually gave me a ride back to where I was staying and not I only did he squeeze me in between all his other appointments, he fixed my ENTIRE car to where it passed Inspection/Emission. But wait, there's more. He did all this for a price that was $ hundreds $ less then what I was going to give him up front just to get it started. Wayne and his guys gave me my car back a day before it was supposed to be done and made sure I was able to prove , in court , that my car is totally legal, legit, and safe for my 2 year old to ride in. Met the owner dropping off my vehicle for an inspection, he immediately put me at ease. Being new to the area, I took a gamble on the closest place to where I live. The gamble paid off. I brought my 98 Volvo in with a check engine light and Wayne was able to investigate and set the Volvo straight the very same day. Though I did exchange words with Wayne's administrator, Shirley, in which I walked out over the amount due, telling her I would never return, I later realized Wayne had given the car a great deal of his time and I had left out vital pieces of information that would've made his job faster. I originally brought my car to be inspected at another garage, where they were trying to rip me off for parts that I do not need to get an inspection(All new rotors and brakes). I am pretty car savvy, so I knew that I did not need the services they were saying was faulty. I recently changed the brakes 5 months ago. I went into PA Auto Service to schedule an inspection for a later date. Wayne said "How much time do you have?" He inspected my car on the spot!!! Talk about service! After reviewing the items that the other place said were faulty, he confirmed that they were not. Wayne provided great service. I recommend this establishment. read more

I went there for a simple inspection Price was higher than other local places but I got the job done right away..that was the plus Place could use a new office person as the person there didn't know what the heck she was talking about when it comes to automobiles at all. I didnt talk back as I could tell she was used to 'lording over people and had an obnoxious 'attitude Thing is....cars are second nature to me as I tore down and rebulit my first engine at 16 and Im an old man now. I recently purchased a 12 year old Ford Taurus for My son to use at College, which is 300 miles away. My son limped home this spring with the check engine light on and multiple misfires . The staff at Pa auto checked over the entire car and repaired the problem (spark plugs and wires ). They also identified other issues which should be addressed in the future ( rear brakes, E-brake cable). Necessary repairs were performed quickly, affordably, and the car has been driven 800+ miles over the last month with no problems. I plan to return to have other work done. Wayne is a great guy! I walked in on a Friday afternoon with smoke coming out of my front wheel, I explained I was from 40 miles away and had just dropped my wife at the doctor and asked if he could look at my Jeep. Without hesitation Wayne took my information, ordered the parts and told me to take his car to pick up my wife as it was unsafe to drive the Jeep. My brake caliper had given up and locked the brakes. Wayne and his mechanic had it fixed in 20 minutes, no lie, and cleaned off the inside of the wheel for me, to get the brake dust and grime out. He performed the best caliper replacement I have ever seen from a garage. He cleaned the slide and ground off the rust, put anti seize on it, replaced the brake line at the wheel and the new caliper, checked the brake pads and rotor, sanded the pads to get the extra dirt and brake dust off. They bled out the old brake fluid because it looked old, replaced it with new and made sure there was no air in the lines. And I must mention he had three other brake jobs and other work ahead of me also! And their lunch was on the table in the office, still in the bag. I highly recommend this garage for A-Plus work and great customer service!! I would drive 40 miles again for this kind of service!! Thanks again Wayne for helping me out of a bind!! read more
