A local company came and told me I could purchase 200 gallons at $2.00 per gallon and guaranteed my price for two years would be $2.50 per gallon. Of course I switched to Silver Valley Propane. I called Amerigas today to have them come and pick up my tank. I was on hold for 40 minutes, finally spoke to a person that told me they couldn't cancel my account and that I had to speak to the customer retention department to cancel my service and that there shouldn't be a wait to speak to them. Well, now I've literally been on the phone for an hour and a half (I checked the timer on my cell phone. The call was exactly 1 hour, 38 minutes and 42 seconds), I told them why I was changing and asked them to come pick up their tank. They told me it would take 4-6 weeks to come and pick it up and there would be a $420 charge for tank removal. Unbelieveable! After being a customer for 9 years they're going to stick it to me to pick up my tank. And they wonder why they are losing customers like crazy. Stay as far away as you can from Amerigas!

The best part what they were doing is that I have 2 tanks and one is just for our Jacuzzi and we have not used it in months however I still get a bill for that tank for $150.00 a month if I use it or not. So after my frustration I called Wood Propane and wow THEY ARE AWESOME. Cost is $3.50 right off the bat and they answered the phone instead of putting me on hold for over 45 minutes like Amerigas did.

The up side is there are multiple places to dump so we didn't have to wait in line like we usually do It seems nice and clean and could be a possible stop in the winter.

If I could zero stars I would. This review is in regards to a rental that was picked up March 19th…read moreand dropped off March 20th. The rental was in place for a 15 foot U-Haul, to be picked up at 9am on March 19th at the Victorville location. We were promised that the 15 footer was going to be there. I had called 12:02pm, and was on hold for over 14 minutes. When the woman had picked up, I had asked if it was okay that we could pick up the 15 footer at 7am instead of 9am, she insisted that it would be fine and ready. That phone call lasted 16 minutes. When my husband and I showed up to the Victorville location at 7am Thursday, the 15 footer was not even on the lot. The gentleman told my husband that it wasn't a "guarantee" and just a curiosity. We spent OVER AN HOUR at this location redoing the reservation to a 10 footer. Instead of offering us a free upgrade for their mistake, they only gave us a $30 difference for a smaller U-Haul. Upon receiving the keys for this rental, my husband walked the lot 6 times trying to find the van with no luck. He went inside twice only to be told the van was on the lot. He then had to physically move a U-Haul out of the way HIMSELF, to get to the one we rented. That is absolutely ridiculously!!! The gentleman should have brought the van to us, if not he should have moved the other himself to get to ours. On our way, the tire pressure sensor broke, and there was oil leaking from the U-Haul. This in turn stained two driveways that we were utilizing at both residences, which we should receive some sort of compensation for. U-Haul needs to do better when it comes to inspecting their vehicles, because I can almost guarantee that it was leaking oil beforehand, and their customer service needs to be trained better. Instead of lying to us all, they should have be honest and said that size vehicle would NOT be available to pick up at this location. With our two parties involved in this rental, we will no longer use U-Haul for any of our future moves and will continue to tell everyone our experience and to steer clear of U-haul. Making another edit. After some back and forth, Edwin was able to make it right and refund the amount that was charged without consent. Thank you for making it right and I added one more star to this review. I hope this is a learning lesson in making sure you are clear with your customers, and make sure they understand everything.

I reserved a furniture dolly along with a 15' truck and was told there were no dollies available,…read moredouble booked the truck despite the fact that I reserved it the day prior and received the truck with only 50 miles left (almost on E). I notified the employee that helped me and was told I would get a $21.60 "discount" if I returned it with a quarter tank. I obviously didn't do that due to the fact that in order for me to achieve this I would most likely be spending close to if not more than the allotted discount I would be getting making said discount a wash or a straight loss. What did they do to remedy this issue, they charged me almost $30 for not dropping the truck off with a quarter tank despite informing them it wasn't received with the "guaranteed" amount of gas and failed to tell me they would charge me for not returning it with more gas than what it had on pick up. If I could get 0 stars would.
