However, they did all see me walk through the door. .Shortly after, two Caucasian women entered the salon and were immediately greeted. A man even came out from the back, walked directly past me without saying a word, and went straight to help them--even though I was standing in front of them and they arrived 10 minutes after I did. Please note, I am a Black American. At that point, I calmly asked him why I was being ignored as if I were invisible. He had no explanation. The way I was treated was deeply disrespectful and felt like racial discrimination. No customer should be made to feel overlooked or less important.
