There are individual booths set up as studios where artists work making, sculpture, jewelry, painting etc The old turn of the century building is set up to display the produced art of these and other local artists. As a result there is a Huge variety of artistic styles to choose from. Also,all of the art I saw was priced right. Usually one of the things you find in these types of cooperative shops is overpriced work. Not here. The other thing that stands out is the quality of work. It's all pretty good. Again,in a lot of places,displayed work is average at best I'd say this is a great place to add to your list of " finds" if you're looking for art. Go!

The ladies running the place and I had a great rapport with each other. So good in fact that by the end of the visit they were trying to talk me into signing up to take some quilting classes! I politely declined because as I looked around, the woman who were there working on their quilts had WAY more skills than I think I could EVER develop! Seriously, this place has several highly talented people working here, so if you are in the market to learn how to quilt, I am pretty certain you will find the iron that will sharpen your iron right here in this place!

She has a great mix of antiques and things for decorating a back yard garden, an elegant front porch or a charming sunroom. She also has some of the neatest novelty items and great prices. There was a huge three-tiered plant stand for $85 the time before last that I was in. I stopped in today and she has a stock of Tibetan prayer flags. Some of the antique items can be expensive but you'd be surprised at how affordable most of the other items - particularly furniture-type items can be.

James our instructor was also very passionate and easy going which made the event much more enjoyable. Everything went well, thanks to their accommodations, and also pretty happy with my outcome lol. He said it was because we were only a party of three, and he had a full house with the larger groups having priority for being placed in the front. Our seats were assigned at the very end in the back. We could still see from the back, but we had to get up a few times and walk over to the front to get a better look at the details of his painting. Overall, it was a fun experience. We made the best of it being together and enjoyed our delicious charcuterie style BYO snacks and beverages. There was a good set of 90s music playing in the background, lots of laughter and good vibes from the other attending groups, and the assistant was super attentive to our needs. It is suggested to bring clothes that you don't mind if paint gets on them. Also, some paint techniques require you to use your fingers to flick paint onto the canvas. I just wish we would have known about the seat assignments ahead of time, I would have brought my eye glasses, lol
