You'd think an oil change these days wouldn't take that much shopping around, but from the deceiptful advertising starting at $20 to $60, then when I'd talk to a real person, which ended up me being taken hostage by the script of BS they'd read to you, and right before you fall asleep I wake up with a three digit quote. I had had it after Firestone had done that to me and it was 3 in the afternoon. I started my day doing only to find a place I could afford and trusted. My late mom's voice in my head, the whole time, repeating, take it to the dealership. So I did, thinking that they would be the most expensive of all. I WAS WRONG. I walked in, thinking the worst. In walks Blake. I told him all that I'd went through, and HE LISTENED. He took less than 5 minutes to quote me around $70 and asked me if I could come back at 3 that day. I'm sixty one, but I felt like 16 and wanted to jump, but didn't. LOL I would have broke a hip or something. Anywayz, I finally got my oil change, and all the extra stuff that they do and the invoice at the bottom was $69.75! It took less than an hour and a half and I was out the door. I will be back and if you think that just because it's the dealership, they hike the prices like I did, think again. This family owned franchise is Iowa nice.

I have a Ford Explorer that one day decided it'd continuously tell me my front passenger door was ajar-- even when it was in fact tightly closed. It was sure it was open and let me know that by constantly flashing an annoying icon on my dash. The interior lights seemed to never turn off and it was unable to lock from the inside. Ugh. Making the appointment was easy. I dropped it off and they determined what was needed. I was informed of the cost and the time frame; the part was to be delivered a week later. We waited for a call to let us know when the part was there but after almost two weeks without a call--made it ourself to inquire. It indeed had arrived. The car was ready that day! Easy peasy. (And quite expensive. We were quoted two different prices during this experience. Initially over the phone what we now know to be the price of the part itself. And then again over the phone, after checking out my vehicle, the part with labor with tax. Eek.) The staff was pleasant and location was super convenient. Overall- I'd come here again and most likely will!

They ended up finding it in Missouri. Huzzah! We were surprised at how quickly our new car would be coming to us -- we'd have it before the holidays-- to then find out they sent the wrong red civic! So that had to be sent back (we had our fingers crossed that this error didn't mean our exact car had been sold in Missouri. Luckily it wasn't and was sent to us asap.) Overall the staff was friendly (Chip was very knowledgeable), the process of testing cars was painless (other dealerships talk dollars and cents up front whereas Billion did not, which was nice), coming to a number on a new vehicle was a little frustrating (due to it coming from another dealership, they held pretty firm) and overall the process of buying it/changing registration/etc took forever (we scheduled an appointment and they were of course running late). I will say we were tempted to trade in our 2004 Civic Hybrid just for convenience but they were only offering $500 for it. (We ended up selling it in two days after listing it on Facebook for $3500.) So future buyers beware! Overall, Billion was pleasant to work with and we are insanely happy with the new ride!

It honestly felt like there was more effort spent avoiding responsibility than trying to identify the cause or provide a real solution. What made the experience worse was the complete lack of seriousness regarding possible safety and water intrusion concerns. Customers bring vehicles to a dealership expecting trained professionals, accurate diagnostics, and respectful communication -- not sarcastic comments and assumptions without inspection. They not only claimed that I installed this thing but did not offer to pay to get it removed (had to go to Car Toys for a $175 bill that no one will return my husbands car to get reimbursed). I wish I could add a picture to how sketchy this tracker looks. 2. Don't fall for their BS financing. The first GMC dealership only did oil changes on Saturday, but, Billion Auto in Iowa City said stop in!! Hunter Strnad did a fabulous job and there were multiple codes/failing sensors. With the trouble shooting and doing a discharge reset things are now operating as they should, and we have cruise control again. We have 1000 to go until we get home, and we are SO thankful for his doing everything he knew to help us have the best trip possible. He replaced our key fob battery as well at no charge!
