I've been to 2 other shops that sell Ice Cream Club ice cream and this one is by far the highest priced locale. The service is lackluster. No enthusiasm, no chatting, no personality. This used to be a fun place to go (Darlene) but not any more. Today I went in and was charged an eighty cent CC fee. What?! Yup. No sign, no warning. I had that refunded immediately. My sweet tooth kicked in. I checked how far a walk it was from where I was at on the beach, and I found out this location was about a block away, on the beach! Since their customer service is so good normally, I was hoping there wasn't too many people when I got there. I was in a bit of luck as I beat the rush and had service as I walked in. Although I love ice cream I went with chocolate this day. I got the chocolate covered Oreos. But then I saw the peanut brittle and had to get a bag of their freshly made goods. I thought I was going to get out with just that but at the counter the gal offered me a free sample of the fudge. I ended up getting a slab of the dark chocolate fudge too. Sure it was a gratuitous amount of desserts, but I knew they would be loved for a week or so. They lasted almost a week, and I have no regrets, other than maybe I should have gotten that ice cream too.
