The waitress was nice and kept up with us even though it was a busy night. They have snacks not food so don't come here to eat. They had very basic nachos and some other snacks and that's about it.

House made potato chips are great too, a little thick so you get crunch and some steak fry texture too. They know that Cajun seasoning on the chips makes the pop. Added a stout to drink, fantastic. I saw a jar with clear liquid, veggies, and pepper, they use it to make bloody Mary's, dude I bet they are awesome, but I could get one to go and I didn't want to drink and drive, especially with crazy Detroit/Dearborn drivers.

Lack of attention to detail. The Killian's on tap was a bargain at less than $2, but tasted a tiny bit funky. My companion liked his Labatt's. I didn't order food, so I can't comment on the quality of these offerings. The place is dark and a bit damp. The bartender, once she realized that our table was occupied, was pleasant. Nobody in the place said a word to either of us except the gentleman who noticed I was sitting there and the bartender. Overall, if I was looking for a place to go every day where people remembered my name, I might make Chick's my neighborhood bar. As someone looking for a brief respite from my daily work grind who doesn't want to hit up a bar every day, this is not the place. Avoid in most circumstances. There are far better bars along this corridor.

Right from the entrance, things were off. The main doorway had broken tile that could seriously injure someone. Inside, a bucket sat in the middle of the walkway between the dining area and the bar, catching water from a ceiling leak. The carpet was worn and stained, with matted gum in plain sight. We stayed only because our friends were already there, and we didn't want to be rude. Then, out of nowhere, a man approached and told us parking was $10. We felt cornered into paying, only to later find out there was free parking in the back; something he never mentioned. It felt dishonest and unnecessary. We ordered appetizers and entrées. The fried pickles and chicken tenders were good, but soft drinks were served in a mix of tall and short cups; some plastic, some glass. For a sit-down restaurant, that was surprising. A DJ was playing decent hip-hop music, but it was far too loud for anyone to hold a conversation. Before leaving, I asked to speak with the manager. No one came. After a long wait, I walked over and realized the manager, Keita, was also bartending. She explained that they rent out the parking lot to a valet service on weekends. I let her know we were charged $10 to park our own cars; no valet service provided. She said she would take care of it. Instead, the same aggressive man who first approached me came back and repeated that parking was not free. When I asked him which company he worked for, he looked me in the eye and said, "Figure it out." Completely unacceptable. Lucy, our server, was friendly, but our experience with the food service was still poor. My partner received his meal when the rest of us were already halfway through eating. I will never return to this restaurant. This was a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes major improvements.
