Really nice specialty drink/martini bar in downtown Dearborn! I went here with a few friends after work and enjoyed an espresso martini and a pomegranate cosmopolitan. They also specialize in some great bar food too! I got a chicken and bacon quesadilla to go with my beverages. It's a smaller place but really packs a punch with a great experience. Kerry was very friendly and accommodated for my whole group very nicely. There's a lot of different alcohol combinations to try here as they have such a wide selection. This bar is located off of Michigan Ave. There is plenty of parking in the back due to 2 garages. In the evening parking is free. There is a bar and seating. There is also a music juke box to select songs from. There is also a dart board. Sometimes there is also a DJ. the staff are pretty friendly. The menu is limited to bar type food. Nachos, wings and dips are some of the selections. This is a martini bar and there are plenty to choose from. I ordered the wings which were ok. The garlic truffle fries were excellent. Very tasty. Came in for a drink after dinner elsewhere and we are so glad we did! It was a Sunday around 8:30p so it wasn't that many people there. Loved the look of the bar and the seating options. The staff were so friendly and it was nice to see them banter and interact with each other and other guests. We had a Long Island and emerald martini. Both drinks were made exceptionally well and priced well too! They had flyers for happy hour and other specials during the week. They also had a food menu however we didn't need any food at the time. Went to give this establishment a try because of how Dearborn is booming and everything is so great in that area. Got there a little after it open and the Owner said the bartender was running late (about 1 hour). These happy and I was like okay I will walking around and come back in 1 hour. One and 10 mins later still no bartender. So I wasted my time waiting and again these happen but no can I offer you some fries or a cold drink for your efforts??! Or maybe if you come back and give us I will take care of you - I would have been happy with happy hour price if you come after the time. Unfortunately I was less impressed with this location. Of you're coming here for a beer or a drink, they nail it perfectly. Good atmosphere, great staff, quick service. If you're coming here for food, it's a complete different experience. We ordered a couple of apps to share. The chicken and waffles skewer was a good idea, but honestly it seemed like they took frozen waffles and nuggs that you get at Kroger or Meijer. Like not even name brand, the store brand. My friend wanted to come to this spot by at the end of the night. Like a final drink drink before we go home. Luckily their kitchen is open late as well, so that's definitely a plus plus. Drinks are drink,,, you know,,, as long as you have someone attentive enough to fetch you a drink and it's good to go. The food was actually good here. Carby good stuff like the spicy feta pita slices, which is very good. Also the pretzel bread with dippy cheese is also a favorite of mine. The place is pretty nice,, ive been here on a busy night as well. Where they have a DJ posted by the door spinning good tunes and such. Met up with friend here because on Tuesday they do $2 pints. They actually have a good selection of beers on drafts that is not just your regular beers like bud light or Miller lite. When we first got there, the place was not busy. As the night progressed, the place started to pick up. The clientele was more of the younger crowd. The service was good. You did not have to wait at the bar for someone to get your order. Also, at times the bartenders would bring out our drinks to the patio where we were sitting. The bartenders would come out and also ask if everything was alright. The place is small with some barstool at the bar and some tables around it. Also, they have a small patio that is great. Overall, the service was good and the food was decent. Regular bar food that is fried. Cannot really go wrong with it. They have deal some days so always check that out. read more

Moose's is exactly what it says it is - a Martini Bar. They have great happy hour specials and fancy martinis at a not TOO fancy price of about $8. The food is satisfying and decent, but not the bar snacks you'll get in Ferndale or downtown. Not bad, but not homemade. They also bake everything with one oven, (no fryers) so if your table orders a bunch of stuff, it will probably come out a bit at a time. Not a problem if you're drinking and snacking, which is what this place is good for. You don't necessarily want to have dinner here. The martinis are great - especially the Tiramisu martini. Yum! First and foremost, calling this joint a "cocktail bar" is an insult to legitimate cocktail bars (which are sorely lacking in Downtown Dearborn). Any bar where the liquor selection primarily consists of flavored vodka infusions with syrupy fruit juice/vodka "-tini" suffixed concoctions as cocktail selections is not a cocktail bar. Call me a snob, but if I walk into a self-proclaimed cocktail bar in Metro Detroit and know that I will not be able to order a Last Word just from briefly scanning the backbar, I cannot take that place seriously as a "cocktail bar." Sorry. That said, for what this place actually is -- a bar that specializes in bottled beverages and mixed drinks that are popular with the younger crowd -- it's decent. There are some pretty good specials on the menu from what I remember, and the prices are pretty affordable. Service was pretty decent, and I can't comment on the food. Despite my disdain for most of the cocktail menu, I did manage to get a very good Cucumber martini here (and was completely shocked that they had St. Germain, as it was one of the only arcane liqueurs on the backbar). Certainly not my first choice for a beverage, but as another reviewer stated: it's a perfectly adequate place for a drink or two (perhaps on the way elsewhere). read more

I was very excited to try this place, but I will probably never go back. I might try a different location, but definitely not this one. First we walked in & we're not greeted by anyone even though workers made eye contact with us. There wasn't that many people in there. After about 3 minutes of awkward standing there, we sat ourselves. After sitting for about 5 minutes, still no one came up to us. A worker even came out from the back, looked at us, and went back to the back. After being in there for about 15 minutes, no one came to get our orders or even say hi. Terrible, terrible service. I'm leaving one star because these morons think it's a great idea to blast crappy music on the outside speakers completely violating all common sense and noise ordinance. I had to call the cops to shut it down after I tired to call the bar. It was too loud so naturally when they answered the phone they couldn't hear me. They probably ruined the hearing of the 7 patrons that were in the bar on Christmas Eve. Here's a tip, don't blast that garbage at full volume on your outside sound system in the middle of winter. Moose's gave me mixed feelings. The specials gave me a chill, laid back, divy vibe... the ambiance and extensive drink menu gave me a trendy, upscale vibe. The music upon entering was depressing for a Friday night at the bar :-/ I had the dog piss (the name had me taken aback and intrigued LOL) and my friend had the dirty martini special. Because mine required a new keg to be tapped, it took a while, so it was on the house. That was nice! We also ordered the mac & cheese bites and chicken fingers. Both were overcooked with little burnt crusties on it. The mac & cheese bites tasted like frozen food apps that were cooked in the microwave. So, clearly food here isn't a good idea. I got that vibe from other reviews, actually. We also weren't given silverware or little app plates. I ate my chicken finger on a napkin. Several napkins, because of crumbs. There were crumbs because I had to tear pieces off, since I didn't have silverware to use. I want to go back to Moose's to give it another shot. It's not out of the woods, yet.
