Friendly and attentive service at the Irish dive bar. Liz was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and definitely appreciated the very reasonable prices for drinks. Didn't have any food on this visit, but don't pass up the free and delicious "Irish" popcorn!

A dive Irish pub with a great smash burger. Service was typical, and it seems like a local bar. I'll be back for another burger.

Really good fish & chips!…read more Our delightful server, Karen, informed us that the place was known for this dish, so we ordered up two heaping plates, one regilar & one extra crispy. Both were delicious. The 3 cod filets were large & firm with a nice batter. The fries were a real treat, large chunks of potato with just a hint of batter. Really, unless you are extremely hungry, plan on taking some home with you, much too good to leave on your plate. On a personal note, Frank the restaurant owner came by, not just for the usual pleasantries but to make sure our food was just right. When we told him it was our first time, he recommended trying their Irish Stew the next time we came by. And if you like jazz, they have live music on thursdays starting at 7. The dinner for two came to less than $25.00. This place is a real jewel in an ocean of franchised mediocrity. We plan on coming back soon!

I had no idea that it was the wrong order. I was given two orders of corned beef rolls, coleslaw with xtra dressing. I Did Not order 2 orders of cornbeef rolls. I only ordered one order of corned beef rolls. When I called back they offered to make the sandwich except they said that they didn't have onions. If they had said that when I placed that order, I would Not have placed the order. The person that was kind enough to drive me, couldn't drive me back because he had to work. I called back and ask for Frank , who the said was the manager. I was told he was not available and they didn't know when he was coming in. I called my bank and filed a complaint. My bill should be adjusted.

We ordered dinner right away. 2 people had the rueben, one the french dip, one the crab cake blt, one the chicken sandwich and one the walleye. The french dip was so dry that even the jus couldn't revive it. The crab cake blt had no flavor and was to come with kettle chips. It came with the bottom of the bag regular chips. The rueben, which should be the star at an Irish pub was just okay. I Would recommend eating before hand and just listen to the band. They were fire!!

I went with the standby fish and chips which was a nice portion, cooked perfectly, and I also enjoyed the cole slaw to complement the cod. A Smithwick's Irish red ale was quite nice with the fish. My friend enjoyed the walleye which was on special. We set at a beautiful wooden bar that had a circular section at one end which offered us a great vantage point of looking at multiple TV's upstairs. Kim B. was a friendly bar tender and always served us with a smile and was very efficient. As we were finishing to head to a hockey game we noticed a live band setting up which I'm sure was fun for those who were able to stay, listen to some music, and cheer on the Detroit Tigers in game 5 of the ALDS.

The menu has a larger breakfast selection compared to the last menu. So exciting! Since we were here for lunch/dinner, we opted for lunch/dinner options. I ordered a tuna melt with tomatoes and fries. The tuna was so good! Love that they don't use too much mayo. Solid pieces of premium tuna! The only downside was the tuna was cold. There is an option to order it cold, but I was looking forward to a hot tuna melt. My husband ordered the box car - tanker size. Most sandwiches come in regular or tanker size. If you have a healthy appetite, the tanker is the perfect size. The box car comes with corned beef. I stole a bite, so good! He didn't opt for fries, so it came with chips. My mom got fish and chips. This is a good size portion! This meal comes with soup or salad, 3 pieces of fish, fries, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was on the watery, mayo side but everything else was great! We are so happy that Bode's is back! Probably some new restaurant kinks with the cold tuna and the coleslaw, but we will be back!

Review from 12/12/25…read more My buddy and I had visited Bode's near Downtown Plymouth for an early lunch. I ordered the French Dip, fries and a pop. My meal came out to be about $27 before tip. The French dip was just ok. The fries and homemade ranch (I love homemade ranch) were awesome. It was as a bit tight in there, as this was as the closing week. Subsequently, the restaurant has reopened under new management. The service was perfect. I don't feel that I the cost aligned with the quality/quantity of the food. I have no desire to return.

They have a pretty nice size menu with a lot of great options. A cool thing about their menu is their sliders. You get to choose whether you want a small or a full size. The idea is to be able to pick different sliders to choose to eat. I decided on the park bowl which came with white rice topped with sesame seeds, avocado, seaweed, and carrots. I added a salmon fillet. It was so fresh and delicious - and VERY filling! I also ordered the calamari for an appetizer and that was pretty tasty as well. I did have a cocktail, it was OK, I really didn't taste any liquor and it was a little bit more sweet than I would have liked.

I never expect stellar service when you have a big party. The issue I had was the food. It was mid at best. First it came out at all different times which I think is not ideal. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and it said it was grilled chicken.... There is absolutely NO way this was grilled chicken, it was canned chicken shredded to the max. That was disappointing because I was thinking it was grilled chicken cut into strips or chunks and then put in the wrap. I assumed incorrectly. For me it was very sub par, for the money I would rather go elsewhere. If you're going just for drinks, then maybe it's a decent spot. I had wine so nothing too adventurous.

Like others have mentioned, this is a smaller D&B and I was very happy not to walk into the place with a bad odor (I've read past post that have mentioned noticing a sewer like smell). There were plenty of games to choose from but as the night went on, we noticed a lot of machines either being out of order or wasn't working correctly (balls in some of the games weren't being returned despite there being plenty of time left. The human claw machine looked pretty cool but paying an additional $20, didn't seem like a great deal. After using up our card, we went over to redeem some tickets. That said, I was a little surprised by the layout. From the outside, the building looks massive, so I expected a much larger game floor.
