First of all this is not your typical deli. My wife actually found this place on Facebook and has been following them. So we were in Lebanon and decided to try it. This is an upscale deli with a full bar and sit down service area to dine in. My wife had a seafood salad sandwich with broccoli salad as a side, I had the club sandwich with zesty Italian pasta salad side. The previous lunch I had here was fantastic. We went for dinner last night so my husband could try the meatloaf special. He was not impressed. He said it was basically jtm hamburger with ketchup. He said it lacked flavor and seasoning. The green beans were good as were the mashed potatoes with gravy. For dessert he tried the eclair pudding. He did not enjoy it. He said it was just vanilla pudding with a little chocolate on top. I tried the grilled pork chop with a side salad and mashed potatoes with gravy. The pork chop had good grill flavor but the meat itself was low quality jtm style. Not what I was expecting. The salad was good but needed more dressing. (I just chose to deal with it.) I also had the apple cobbler for dessert and it was very very good. Our friend had a chicken sandwich with fries. Both were good. Next time I will try a burger or other sandwich probably. After an otherwise wonderful visit with friends, my last night in town ended on a very sour note at Nikki's Tavern. A man at the bar repeatedly made loud, sexually inappropriate comments toward a woman who was simply placing an order. One comment in particular was crude enough to visibly embarrass her and eventually provoke her partner to step in. After she ordered a 10-inch whatever, he yelled out, can she handle 10 inches?' (as if he knew what 10 inches looked like). I was mortified for this girl, but even then, the behavior didn't stop. I was genuinely appalled that someone would feel comfortable speaking to a stranger that way in a public establishment. What made this encounter even more disappointing was realizing the next day that this same individual appears to be the public face of Kellys Meat and Deli Mr Cody Tipton himself. Personally, I choose not to support businesses represented by people whose public behavior reflects such disrespect toward women. Although this is 13 years later and new owners, the burger is good but not a fan of their coated fries. I loved the old school crinkle cut fries that made the combination. I like fries to taste like potatoes which is why I loved the ones they served for years under previous two ownerships. Burger is still charbroiled which makes me happy. Because of that, they got their fourth star. read more

The new owners have a really great menu and set up. The renovations are an improvement. Fast and friendly service is available in the evening hours. The food is so good that I order more to take home. Their Ham Salad is the BEST you will ever find anywhere. read more

We stopped in to get a couple sandwiches on our way home from granddaughter's soccer games. It's been years since my last time & found they'd moved, changed ownership a couple times & have a new name but kept the same butcher. Since we were doing takeout, can't really speak to the sit-down space but the counter guy was great. My roast beef & cheddar (added some (turkey) was one of the best I've ever had & my wife enjoyed her Oinker. They only have one beef sandwich but they're very accommodating. Most of their sandwiches are ham and/or turkey. I wanted to go back today but they were closed. Too bad. read more

Have been coming 25+ years through three owners. Great for a quick, decent lunch. Staff are friendly. Not a fan of some food changes (mac and cheese is now gooey and odd tasting, cole slaw has some bitter seeds sprinkled throughout). Burgers are still a decent option. My biggest complaint currently is more often than not, my order is missing things. Ordered and paid for a double burger only to get home and find it was a single. Ask for no cheese, and cheese is on it. Ask for a sandwich with cheese, and they leave it off. Order three toppings and two are missing, etc. Still, in the grand scheme of things, it's a good place for a quick meal with several good options. I was going here looking for a good local butcher shop and stumbled across an amazing place to eat lunch. This place is AWESOME! They have a full kitchen/deli with sandwiches, sides, and lots of other things to offer. I got the daily special which happened to be a fried chicken dinner with two sides and a roll...for EIGHT DOLLARS! Wow! It was really good. My chicken was a little on the dry side but the flavor was taking my mind off of that little detail and enjoying the hell out of my lunch. We ordered take out this afternoon. I hadn't planned on it, but one of the gals I work with said she was going for Kelly's chicken. I'm not sure, but I think they gave me an extra piece, because for a "lunch special," I sure got an awful lot of food! For the fried chicken, I had both a huge breast AND a drumstick. They also gave me a dinner-sized portion of green beans and a shovel full of wonderful Mac & Cheese. Not saying ti wasn't worth the price of admission, because it was all delicious. I was telling one of my colleagues I hadn't ordered fried chicken since it was Seegers, and it appears Kelly received the recipe in the turnover, because it was absolutely wonderful. They sell meat/cheese like a traditional deli, and serve breakfast/lunch!! I've never had a better breakfast croissant from the same establishment I can get buffalo wing flavored cheddar by the pound. Daily lunch specials. Nice place to grab a fresh sandwich or home-style special. Lots of fresh-cut meats available, including steaks. I usually get the prime rib sandwich combo, with extra crispy fries and ranch dip. Service can be a bit slow at times, as there may only be 2 people in the back preparing food and taking orders. I highly suggest getting there by 11:00-11:30 am, if you don't want to wait in a long line. Noon-1:00 pm is hot, so you'll most likely wait a bit. One free refill allowed on fountain drinks. For two years I've been getting the lunch special here at 10:30. have always loved it. since the new owners took over. i been there twice and couldnt get the lunch special because it takes 20 minutes to heat up tortillas. I been a cook my whole adult life and NEVER should it EVER take that long. they blame it on a griddle but that is rediculous when you have a flat top right there. that they put a burger on but couldn't put tortillas on. this is just a cook who is lazy and pathetic. yall should invest in a good cook and if thats the owner he needs to sit his but down. his hygiene was questionable at best. no hair net or beard net. a whole lot of standing around but no one can put tortillas on that open spot on the grill. I guess Kelly set the bar too high for others to keep up. I ended up getting a burger the first time but it wasn't the same either. and the broccoli cauliflower mix was waaaay diferent good way to mess up my favorite side. WILL NEVER BE BACK. read more

I've been visiting Seeger's Deli since I was a freshman in high school, ordering my favorite sandwiches (specifically, the Country Club). No matter how long it's been since my last visit, the staff remembers my order, asks how I've been, and makes me feel right at home. Their cuts are delicious, high-quality meat, their sides are divine, and I love that their beverage selection goes beyond the usual soda fountain standard. When I think "deli" I think meats and cheeses. And at least for deli meats and cold cuts, this deli does not measure up. In terms of deli meats, Kelly's is very minimal and you can only buy the most common types of deli meats. It appears that Kelly's dumped Boar's Head (what Seeger's formerly sold) and now sell only Kahn's, a brand I've never seen called Deitz and Watson, and maybe a couple of others. The presliced pastrami they had was as expensive as Boar's Head - $10.99/lb - the sample I ate was about as tasty as packaged meat - didn't hold a candle to Boar's Head. And PRESLICED? I always feel like an a-hole asking for a deli to slice my stuff in front of me, which I think is the entire point - presliced tells me that they're more interested in their own convenience, than quality. They had no garlic bologna nor Lebanon bologna - neither are very obscure or rare meats. The go-to deli case in town is Kroger's, period. Service at Kelly's was friendly. I'd like an alternative to Kroger's deli but this is not it. Most craft beers seem to be a buck a six pack cheaper than the big store, though. read more
