I had never had my hair or my make-up professionally done in the past, so I had no idea what the experience would be. I'm sure I was a bundle of nerves when Stacey showed up for my trial (which I highly recommend doing!), but there was honestly nothing that I should have worried about. Stacey is an expert at highlighting your natural beauty; I never felt like any part of me was being hidden under heavy makeup. I was authentically me at my wedding, and that was so wonderful. Stacey also worked with me to make sure I was pleased with my makeup and hair and was happy to make any small tweaks to my look. On the day of the wedding, Stacey and her team arrived early and worked efficiently to make sure myself and my bridal party were done on-time for pictures before the ceremony. We had such a fun time with Stacey and her team, listening to music and chatting. It definitely helped me settle down before seeing my husband for the first time! She is one of the most professional vendors I have worked with in SD. She is responsive, fair, well-priced, kind, humble, easy-going and most importantly... excellent in her craft. I asked Stacey for a sun-kissed, California girl look and she made all my bridesmaids and me look like we just stepped off the beach. What makes Stacey unlike most make-up artists (...and so, so special) is her ability to create any look you desire. Most artists have one or two makeup looks they have mastered and stick to them (hence so many pictures of brides look the same). This is not the first time I get my hair done by Mandy, but now she is "mobile", literately, she gets where you're located, which is absolutely convenient. Found my hairdresser!…read more I was in search of a local salon to trim my hair at a reasonable price. Found Mandy through yelp, asked a bunch of questions and scheduled my first appt. I wasn't sure if I have to tip extra because she's driving to me. Turns out, you don't. So far I've met with her three times (trim, color & color correction). One of the times, I asked if she could meet me at my gym because I had a class to attend. She was happy to oblige & it felt like VIP service. And with the third visit, I had planned to at least tip her to cover gas expenses or something but she adamantly refused to take my payment. Honestly, how sweet is that?! Her customer service is phenomenal. Her bubbly personality makes for easy conversation (not awkward). Her idea of this mobile salon is innovative. Her skills are great. Her pricing reasonable. Doris and here team were super nice and very talented. During our makeup trial, I mixed up the…read moredates, but Doris was super accommodating and squeezed me into her busy schedule. At the wedding, we had a range of skin tones and facial features (some bridal party members were white, some mixed ethnicity, and some Asian) and they did an excellent job on everyone. My hair stayed put the entire night, even with me tugging on it with a cathedral length veil and floral crown. I wanted a full glam look and they hooked me up! They were also able to do more minimal/neutral glam looks for some of my bridal party that looked beautiful. They also bring their own music to keep the vibes high! Highly recommend!
