The vibe of the patio was great and super lively. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even brought out a water bowl for our dog. We got the burrata Fresca appetizer which was really good. For my main I got the truffle mushroom ravioli, it was good but got a bit too salty towards the end. I also tried a slice of the pepperoni which was good as well. The patio was really busy when we went so I'd recommend making a reservation in advance!

I come here all the time for dinner and the food never disappoints. I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation for around 7pm, and they took us to the patio outside. I personally prefer being seated indoors, as it can get either too hot or too cold in the winter, but it is quite nice when the weather cooperates. The tables are also personally on the small side so keep that in mind if you're planning to order many appetizers. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and served us quickly. We ordered beef tacos to start. We usually get the fish tacos (which are some of our favourite tacos in the city) but we wanted to try something new. These tacos were great and the sauces were amazing. We then had the Burrata Fresco. It was our first time having this as well and we were quite pleased with it. The cheese was super creamy and went super well with the bread. Usually, the mains take a while to come, especially if you come on a weekend night (this was Father's day weekend, so it took a bit longer than usual) Finally we got to our mains. He had his usual, the Chimichurri steak sandwich, and I got a fish and chips, which i had never tried before. His steak was great and cooked really well. I've had the steak sandwich before as well and it was super well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Do keep in mind they only serve it with one slice of bread, though you can add an additional slice to make it a real sandwich. My fish and chips were good as well. The fish was thickly battered and was a little on the oily side but it wasn't bad. It went great with the truffle fries I ordered. The slaw was purple cabbage, which I think I prefer to the green cabbage kind. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a free cheesecake on the side with a cool flame sparkler for me and my boyfriend's anniversary. It was quite good and we thought is was quite generous of the restaurant. Overall, Taps is a great all rounder place to get food with your family or friends. They serve great pizzas here as well and I haven't had a dish I was disappointed with yet. It is on the pricier side, but if you have the ability to splurge, this is a great place to do so.

Friendly staff and helpful as well. I felt welcome the entire time…read more The decor was dated I got seated in a couch and it was peeling all over. It is a basic pub you're going to have your classic beers and pub type food they have an extensive list of burgers so I am assuming that's what they specialize in. The waiter also told me that there are chicken fingers are popular so I ended up getting chicken fingers and the person I was with got fish and chips and then we got the boneless bites for appetizer and the boneless bites we chose the maple chipotle sauce. The maple chipotle sauce was absolutely delicious a winner and probably should have got it for my chicken fingers. For my chicken fingers I did get Buffalo sauce and plum sauce just two classic sauces a portions are quite large that helps because I do find that they're pricing is higher than the typical pub the fries were delicious my food was hot you can tell that they just came out of the fryer and the chicken fingers were also hot as well. The breading on the chicken finger didn't have much taste so have to rely on the sauces to enhance your meal. the fish and chips unfortunately were a disappointment it was heavily breaded it said it was a whiskey batter and it seems like all they do is add whiskey to the batter there is absolutely no seasoning so it really is just a thick batter that is flavorless. We ended up just eating the fish we did let the waiter know that the batter was awful and he took the feedback but that's about it. The reason why we came here was because Taps had a 40 minute wait for a table for two and we were too hungry to wait that long. And honestly kind of wish that we did wait for that table at Tap. Short summary service was great they were attentive however the food is very average and the price is above average so I don't think that there is value for what you are getting

Portions were actually pretty generous. If you enjoy french fries, the burger came with lots of it. The fish and chips came with a very large piece of fish. The best part of the deep fried stuff was that none of it was too oily, and the oil seemed to clean. Dietary restrictions were not an issue for the kitchen, which was fantastic. The only downside that we all complained about was that the music was really loud. We almost had to scream at each other just to be able to hear the person on the other side of the table.

When I walked in? It definitely looked like a British pub! Not a bad thing, right? I was seated at the bar right away and ordered a Lionheart lager. It definitely hit the spot. As I perused the menu, I saw they had shepherds pie! Not the official one with lamb and all that - no, this was ground beef. But when a boy is hungry? Damn! You gotta go for it right? I put in the order, started drinking the beer, and waited about 15 minutes for the shepherds pie to come out. Man, that was one fine, looking shepherds pie! The mashed potatoes had been lovingly put on top and it had a nice little bit of red peppers and carrots and broccolini on the side - oh nice! I took my first bite, and I fell in love. Man, this place hit the spot! If you want a British style pub in the heart of Mississauga? Come here and you won't be disappointed. Next time I'm in the area I will come again.

We sat at a high top in the bar, and was greeted by Gerhart. He gave us some tips on specials, as well as giving us time to decide on drinks, then food. Their ahi crispy rice tuna is absolutely fantastic. Rice has incredible texture, and the tuna is diced so that it's easier to eat. Beautifully sauced, and garnished with wasabi and ginger along with soy sauce. Just a delight. My buddy had the chicken Alfredo and it looked really tasty. I'd have gone with an entree but I wanted to have the option of trying something else. They have two happy hours on the weekdays, 3-5 and 9-12. I tried about 5 different drinks, including making a non-alcoholic drink one with vodka in it. Just delicious. Gerhart was awesome, and busy. We tried not to be too annoying but I literally had 6 different drinks while catching up with my friend. I appreciated catching up with my bud, and seeing a new place to eat when I'm in town! Thanks to the entire team here for their service and food quality!

Tip: Wednesday rib day has rib deals going for $10 or $15…read more It feels like an eternity ago. I flew back to the greater Toronto area from Winnipeg in mid-July. My flight was late by two hours and I was exhausted by the time I fetched my luggage off the carousel at nearly 11 pm. I decided to stay at a hotel in Mississauga and did a late checkout of 2 pm the following day. After checking out of the hotel and feeling refreshed, I was ready for lunch. I did a search and found this Chuck's Roadhouse Bar and Grill. It's steps away from Buka Maranga Cafe, which is probably my favourite cafe in Mississauga. I recall this location being an All Star Wings joint years ago. I guess it wasn't doing great business-wise and Chuck's took over. I had no problem backing into an available spot in this plaza. I then walked over to the eatery and headed inside. It took a bit of time for someone to acknowledge that I was waiting to be seated. There were two folks doing renovations, so I could understand the wait. I got a booth. There were a few folks who seemed to be regulars. They were still there when I was done with lunch. My server was Kendra. She was young, quiet, and nice. I ordered these items: - Diet Coke - Ribs and honey garlic wings, which comes with fries and extra rib sauce The latter was $15 on Wednesdays. I was indeed here on a Wednesday. Yay! I got my Diet Coke. It was fizzy and cold. Getting another refill proved to be challenging. It took a while to flag my server down. It was the only detail that needed improvement. It didn't take a lot of time for my ribs and honey garlic wings to arrive. I was ready to enjoy everything. The ribs were delicious. I put down my cutlery and used my hands. The meat was so tender. The barbeque sauce was excellent. My honey garlic wings were delicious. The wings were meaty and had a lot of crunch to them even with the sauce on them. They were enjoyable. I only had a napkin. I had to flag another server for more napkins and wet wipes. I finally flagged my server down for the bill. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped to pay. Done! I used the washroom before I made my way home. The women's washroom was decent. No issues. It was nice dropping by this Chuck's for a delicious lunch. Service has room for improvement. Otherwise, I'd return for more good eats. (292)

Another way they keep the food affordable is that any extras are chargeable. For example, condiments on hamburger, blue cheese for wings etc. My biggest complaint about this location is that you will go deaf from the volume of their speakers. No joke. It's the loudest dine in place I have ever been to. I can still feel my ears ringing after visiting this particular location. Service is nice but somewhat slow. The servers are friendly though. After 9pm, they have half price appetizers. I enjoyed the 16 piece wings which were a good size and crispy with one sauce for approximately $12. The calamari tasted good, it was also crispy, but the portion was small for approximately $7. Grams head prices are the after 9pm half price appetizers special. They have different specials for different days. I read there's a drink special during Leafs games. I just happened to go after 9pm and would go again to try other appetizers and get more crispy fried wings!
