    KFC ( Korean Fried Chicken)

I visited Wilcox's the other day with a few friends and honestly it was a bit disappointing. We had went for the Happy Hour because the prices are really good, so why not! Once we got there, we were seated immediately as it wasn't busy. If you haven't been to Wilcox before it's definitely a chill, relaxed vibe inside. For drinks I had gotten the Peachee Lychee which our serve said was a balance of sweet and fresh. I would disagree, mine was only sweet to the point where I didn't finish it. The Shareables were okay. We had gotten the KFC and Brassica Fritters. Now as someone that has went to Wilcox many times previously, I was very disappointed by parts of the menu. For example, they have skirt steak on the menu, and when my friends wanted to order it, the server said they don't sell it any more (why have it on your menu then?). They then decided to go with the Octopus Puttanesca thinking it would be the same as it previously was. The restaurant must have done budget cuts, because now for $2 less then the quarter you use to get, you now only get one tentacle cut into 4 pieces... also don't get me started on the Bone Marrow now called (Tartare & Marrow). I feel as though it is now a down scaled cheaper alternative. Unfortunately this will be my last time going to Wilcox. I appreciated the previous menu and wish our server would have provided a bit more clarity with changes on the menu before we ordered. One thing they did get right was the roasted chicken, it tasted delicious!

Went here for the first time for brunch with a group of 6 and got the latte, Japanese carbonara, truffle fries, and KFC. The food was really good and cooked really well! We booked reservations in advance but for some reason still waited quite a bit to be seated. The food also took quite a while to be cooked. First impressions upon entering the restaurant was that it was quite small, then I realized there was an upstairs which had a more cozy seating area. They had entrees, brunch 11am-3pm, and entrees from you to choose from. As well as a separate drinks menu. The washrooms are at the very basement. Pros: food was really good and cooked really well, the ambiance was warm and inviting, servers were nice Cons: waited quite a while to be seated even though we booked reservations 2 weeks ahead, waited quite a long time for our food, women washroom soap dispenser wasn't working

I was really looking for some poutine so when I got here and learned, they did not have poutine. I was slightly disappointed. However, my disappointment soon faded as the brunch menu was still available... and their options were phenomenal. Our waiter was great with recommendations and his service was impeccable. The place is super cute and comfortable with ample parking. My mother and I had an Irish coffee which was delicious and warmed up our soul on this cold winter day. I opted to have the salmon Benedict poached hard. Initially, they did not poach it hard, but they quickly rectified it, and it was beyond delicious. All the flavors worked so well together and the house potatoes were seasoned perfectly and delicious. Definitely would come back here.

Came by after going to D&D experience close by with some friends. Service was great and the seating is roomy and bright. A lot of natural light. The washrooms r crazy clean as well. The food menu is unique during the weekend for brunch. They have a great smash burger that I regret not getting. It was better than the Benedict for sure. Would recommend trying this place at least once.

Solid food options and friendly accommodating service. We had a party of like 15 and they let us rearrange tables how we wanted. I would recommend the octopus (as a main dish) and the pistachio tart. Got both and cleaned the plate. The KFC was fine but not crispy and some said the bolognese has a weird nutmeg flavour and the brownie was VERY bitter due to the dark chocolate. Overall great place for a get together and drinks were amazing throughout.

4.25/5 - Went here with my partner and a couple friends for a small celebration. The vibes were really nice, vintage farmhouse/hunting cabin type of aesthetic, and "jeans and a nice top" in terms of the setting. Other reviews have mentioned the service was really good, but personally our service was just okay/not very attentive. We ordered quite a few dishes between us and some of them were hits and some were meh: - Confit Duck Chaufa (29.5): lowkey a gentrified fried rice with some duck on top. Fried rice in Chinese is "chao fan" so even the name is kinda...LOL. And for that price??? - Hanger Steak Souvlaki (36): my friend said it wasn't very good, and barely touched it - Lasagna (25.5): Ordered this because it said it would be 25 layers and it piqued my interest. It was definitely smaller than I was expecting, but it was very rich and flavourful and I would definitely order it again - Spanish Octopus ($30 for 1/4, $55 for 1/2): We ordered the half portion, which was more than enough to share between the four of us. Another banger - really happy about the portions, flavour, octopus was really unctuous and cooked well. - Cauliflower Fritters (13.75): They were alright - nothing to write home about but not disastrous either. Good portion for what we paid - Oysters (37 for a dozen): Also okay, thought they were really small and lacking the flavour I expect from raw oysters. To note, it seems that the menu rotates semi-regularly so some of the dishes you might see here or other social media might not be available. Overall I would come back again for the dishes I enjoyed and hope there's better service the next time around!

The ambiance is always incredible here and so is the customer service. They have great vegetarian options including the mushroom chaufa and truffle fries!!! Honestly such a great place to hang out in Mississauga and its away from the square one rush. Hidden gem!

Wish I have more stomach space or came with more companies to try more stuff. Lots of space inside. I could imagine this place can get packed at weekend. Service was good. Waitress was friendly and made great recommendations. Dragon Seoul marg was yummy with the right amount of alcohol. Little messy to hold as there's a lot of salt on that glass. Bone marrow was meant for sharing but I ate it all anyways. The duck confit chaufa was yummy. Right balance of meat and veggie in the bowl. Would definitely come back.

My cousins and I came here on a whim while we were looking for a place to grab drinks around the area. I appreciate the servers accommodating our party of 3 as a walk-in. Previous reviews I read highly recommend making reservations in advance. There were also 2 major parties going on when we were there. My initial thoughts were that the inside had an old school 50s-60s vibe. I would have loved to sit by the bar if it wasn't reserved for one of the parties. We were seated at a table upstairs which has a balcony view over the first floor. Unfortunately, one of the major downsides during this visit was that there was a gentleman seated a few tables beside us who was extremely loud. His voice carried across the entire floor that we were unable to hear our own conversation. None of the servers seemed to ask him to lower his voice either. As for drinks, I ordered the sojuicée. It had all of the ingredients I love like yogurt soju and sugar plum. You can barely taste the alcohol which is always a plus for me. I would have probably ordered 2 more rounds of it if we stayed longer. We decided on ordering some appetizers to share. The truffle fries were delicious especially dipped in the aioli. The blistered shishitos peppers were soft. They were actually pretty mild when eaten on their own but the hot honey vinaigrette and chili on top enhanced the spice. I liked that their bang bang shrimp used coconut shrimp as their base. They were pretty stingy with their sauce, though. Overall, I'd say this place is worth a try but can't say I'd be dying to come back.

Had my galentines here. Love the glass roof, the ambient lighting really adds to the cozy intimate atmosphere. Food portions were a little small for the price but still good nonetheless. Parking is a little confusing the first time when trying to park near the entrance. Service was friendly.

Was in Mississagua for the weekend and this place was recommended. Nice ambience and great music. Really trendy spot with a vast selection of things. I went thinking they had lobster poutine but that wasn't on the menu so I settled on the fish and chips out of a lot of delicious tasting items. It was good. Hot, fresh, tasty, good portions, only missed malt vinegar. The Cole slaw was fresh and delicious. The drink was very good but pricey and they only fill up half the glass which is weird. I would go back but don't really need the cocktail!!

Truffle Mushroom Pappardelle (pretty tasty but small portion)
    C C.

Been here several times and I can honestly say this ... 1. The craft cocktails lack that "yum" or "wow" factor. I've tried several different ones in the past. 2. Dishes are ok, but some have very small portions. 3. DO NOT get dessert here !!! Overpriced, lacks presentation and has no flavour. The churros are the worst ever. Trust me on this. Just go there for oysters and maybe a beer. That way you won't be disappointed.

    The Canadian Burger
    John S.

For my first visit to The Wilcox, I ordered the Canadian Burger -- the meat was a little over-cooked, but I was still able to enjoy the savory, beefy notes of the large chuck patty. The tomato jam and sriracha mayo added a spicy, tangy kick to each bite. The thick slice of white cheddar balanced the toppings well. The fluffy, seasoned bun did a wonderful job of holding everything together. The fries were crispy and salty, and paired well with the sweet house ketchup. The service was great and we enjoyed being able to sit outside. A saw a lot of other tasty dishes pass by our table, so I would be happy to go back to explore more of the menu.

What I really loved about this place was the aesthetics, the ambiance, the music, the mood…read morelighting. It was clean, lots of seating available which consists of love seats & chairs. The space is split into two sections front and back with the bar/ vip section. It wasn't as busy when I arrived but nonetheless the vibes were great. The music wasn't too loud that you cannot maintain a conversation. They have the regular shisha flavours like double apple, mint etc. They also have other special flavours like island breeze which cost $32/shisha. They do charge for extra coal, the shisha comes well prepared and ready to be smoked. It was a smooth, flavourful & enjoyable experience. Now one thing I have to note, their menus is fixed, you cannot convince them to make any altercation to any item on the list nor request items (drinks) which aren't on the menu. That leads me to my next point, you cannot order sides unless you order a main. I personally don't understand why. One may not necessarily want to have a full meal late into the night but nonetheless they would not budge. The weekends are busy, reservation's recommended and they follow a strict dress code. I do believe they are setting a precedent and catering to a demographic as more of an upscale Lounge. The service was great, server was attentive but also apologetic as she was bound to a strict menu. Worth checking out for the vibes.

The hooka is decent but they charge you with each change of coal. I had the shawarma poutine last time, it was delicious but def more tandoor flavoured meat than poutine but still tasty
