It was my first time trying Shinta for AYCE Japanese BBQ this weekend. I left feeling full and satisfied! When we arrived at 6 pm, the waiting area was quite busy with people waiting. I'm not sure how much my friend putting us on wait list before arriving helped but we waited about 30 mins before it was our turn. There were 5 of us (4 adults and one toddler) and we were in a booth for four adults. The booths are pretty small considering all the things you can order. Luckily our booth was against a wall with space to put the dishes that didn't fit on the table. Dinner service was very busy as it was difficult to flag down a server to order. Once we ordered, the meats came out very fast. I think the cuts offered at Shinta are high quality for an AYCE restaurant. Currently Shinta offers an order of free A5 wagyu with your dinner. Everyone really enjoyed the Wagyu, even my toddler! The sushi that they offer was also good. I opted to eat less sushi to fill up on the meat. For dessert, the majority of us got the mango pomelo sago. It was refreshing! Overall, I really enjoyed Shinta and will be having my birthday dinner here next month! Heard great things about Shinta so we finally went to try it out for dinner on Good Friday! We arrived at 6pm and was asked if we wanted bbq or hot pot. We came for bbq so it was news to me they had hot pot as an option as well. Anyway, we opted for the black menu as there was a great variety on it already. Our favourites were the scallops, short ribs, and torched salmon sushi. For dessert we just tried the soft serve ice cream. The service and quality was top notch at its price point. A great bbq experience! They have different tier of ayce to choose from, and as my first time I chose from the "black" menu. Although the menu is not as big as other near by ayce option, the meats are still top notch. All the cuts I tried were delicious. We came to Shinta for a Sunday recovery brunch before heading back to reality, and it turned out far better than expected. From the outside it didn't look as impressive as other spots I've tried, but once inside, everything was spot on. The space was well organized, the staff changed the grills frequently, and the meats were fresh with marinades done just right. The deep-fried dishes were surprisingly top-notch too, with light crispy batter that beats what many a-la-carte places serve. Even the sushi rolls were much better than I expected from an AYCE place. Every item came out fresh and well-prepped, showing that they actually care about quality here. Honestly, everything felt legit. It's not easy to find an AYCE that keeps both quality and variety at this level. I wasn't a fan of their other location before, but this Mississauga one completely changed my mind. If I'm ever nearby again, this would easily be my first choice for Japanese BBQ. read more

It was our second time visiting Shinta BBQ in Mississauga and as always, we had a great experience. Although we're closer to the North York location, we like to go to this branch every now and then because of the following reasons: sushi is only served at this location ( don't expect too much from their sushi coz their specialty is Japanese bbq) , although smaller than the one in North York, this restaurant has a relaxed vibe and is less busy (at least when we went. Timing can vary) it is located in a plaza that offers parking spaces and they are also close to an Asian Grocery store. Great location with an even better menu compared to the other locations! They had a promotion going on since they recently opened so we got free A5 Wagyu as seen in the picture which was delicious. Even their regular menu is amazing all the beef options are great tasting along with side options that they offer like sushi. I like the ambiance and spacing inside. Shinta just launched 2 new items in their premium AYCE menu. 1. Coulotte beef - from the top sirloin cap that promised melt-in-your-mouth texture 2. Matcha pudding - not a fan of matcha but might be after trying this. (too bad I can only get one :( ) I enjoyed their sukiyaki beef, lamb, intestines, salmon, shrimp, clam, king oyster mushroom and tempura udon. Tried to head to another business nearby for dinner with 2 friends however it had a crazy long lineup on a Saturday night and ended up choosing this place. Great selection of meats, veggies and sides. Tried every single one available in the black angus AYCE menu. Every single cut of meat was delicious however the cheesy corn was kinda weird. 9/10 for food, 9.5/10 for service and ambiance. However the price for the meal was higher than expectations which was approximately 60$ per person after tax and tips. Nonetheless, I still had a great time. read more

So happy Shinta finally opened in Mississauga. We have heard many raving reviews about this place. My husband and I went here on a special occasion so we decided to go with the silver menu. It was definitely soooooo good. The meat melts in your mouth. Our favourite was the chef selection wagyu, we reordered that 3 times. Oh also the scallops (not pictured) and the lamb rack!!! Chefs Kiss!!! We also got the foie gras sushi (not pictured) which was really interesting. There was so much food selection, we couldn't even explore the regular menu selection. The service was very prompt. Most of the staffs were friendly; one of the waiter really went above and beyond. Too bad we forgot his name. The restaurant is quite spacious with comfortable seating. A good Japanese BBQ experience. Ordered the "black" menu with the intent of returning another time for the "silver" menu of my experience was good. Overall, the meats felt standard for an asian BBQ place, but there's another Asian BBQ place close by that has more variety of meats (and imo it's better there). I did enjoy the sushi rolls (come 4 in a roll) and the beef tataki. The pieces (2) of sushi (i.e ebi sushi) had too much rice for my liking. What separated this place from other Asian BBQ establishments is the deep fried bun with condensed milk. That was a hit for me, and dipping it in soft serve ice cream was my highlight. Without the fried bun and condensed milk, I don't think I would have came back for the silver menu, but I'll be back ! read more

Now open in Mississauga, Shinta Japanese BBQ continues to bring everyone's favourite premium meats and seafood for everyone to grill and enjoy. The menus are spread across however much you would like to spend, but the quality is top-notch regardless of which option you choose from. We recently tried the Black Angus menu, and it left us completely satisfied. With a wide variety of premium cuts including beef, pork, lamb, and chicken, we got a bit of everything. We got everything on the beef menu and loved it all. we wrap our meat in lettuce and the appetizer/ side dishes for flavour. Okay but the marbling on the meat? This is Toronto/GTAs most premium all you can eat Japanese BBQ spot. Shinta has been around for a while, but they opened in Mississauga this year They had so many high quality meat cuts with beautiful marbling, and all types of meat from beef, pork, lamb, chicken. Tons of other items too, we got their torched sushi which was surprisingly very good, bibimbap, tempura udon and beef tataki. Make sure to keep track of which is beef tataki because it definitely blends in with the other meat. They had seafood too, we got sake clams and seafood medley! After hearing about this place soft opening, I knew I had to check out the new kid on the block. In terms of location, it's perfect, situated in a plaza with plenty of parking, and it's not too far away from a bus stop. However, it's not without its growing pains. I came here for dinner with my partner. I made a reservation for 6:30 for the two of us, but I was running late, and they wouldn't seat my partner without me. Luckily my reservation was honored when I showed up. Ordering our food was a quick process, since we went with the basic set. The selection of appetizers was pretty limited - things that I expected to see, like gyoza, were missing. Also when it came to beverages, the diet Coke we ordered came out in a can, so we were not sure if there were free refills. I had also hoped for a bigger selection of tea than just bagged green tea. The uncooked seafood and veggies also came out before the meats, which kind of threw off our rhythm. The quality of the meats was actually rather good, and surprisingly the salmon was my favorite. I also loved the buttered enoki mushrooms. For dessert, I had grilled pineapples and the usual melona bar. The service here was great - the servers made a great effort to explain each dish to my partner, who does not speak Chinese, and they were also proactive in offering to change the grill for us. A note to girlies that tend to get cold easily - they really crank the AC here, so bring a jacket! After hearing all the social media buzzz, we would like to give Shinta a try. The shop manager/owner gave us a big welcome greeting and recommended other sushi restaurants near Markham T&T we can try under the same owner. It was proved to be a delightful experience as food are good quality, staff are attentive and super friendly. They are a great competitor to Takumi and Gyubee, will have more market penetration in BBQ AYCE. We had a amazing experience, will definitely come back soon.
