We came to Shinta for a Sunday recovery brunch before heading back to reality, and it turned out far better than expected. From the outside it didn't look as impressive as other spots I've tried, but once inside, everything was spot on. The space was well organized, the staff changed the grills frequently, and the meats were fresh with marinades done just right. The deep-fried dishes were surprisingly top-notch too, with light crispy batter that beats what many a-la-carte places serve. Even the sushi rolls were much better than I expected from an AYCE place. Every item came out fresh and well-prepped, showing that they actually care about quality here. Honestly, everything felt legit. It's not easy to find an AYCE that keeps both quality and variety at this level. I wasn't a fan of their other location before, but this Mississauga one completely changed my mind. If I'm ever nearby again, this would easily be my first choice for Japanese BBQ.

It was our second time visiting Shinta BBQ in Mississauga and as always, we had a great experience. Although we're closer to the North York location, we like to go to this branch every now and then because of the following reasons: sushi is only served at this location ( don't expect too much from their sushi coz their specialty is Japanese bbq) , although smaller than the one in North York, this restaurant has a relaxed vibe and is less busy (at least when we went. Timing can vary) it is located in a plaza that offers parking spaces and they are also close to an Asian Grocery store. Both food and service are very good and we also got to enjoy the tasty new menu items and the FREE birthday cake (promo is on for a limited time) I definitely recommend this location if it's near you.

Great location with an even better menu compared to the other locations! They had a promotion going on since they recently opened so we got free A5 Wagyu as seen in the picture which was delicious. Even their regular menu is amazing all the beef options are great tasting along with side options that they offer like sushi. I like the ambiance and spacing inside. Be sure to use Yelp to put yourself on the waitlist during dinner time to avoid waiting.

Shinta just launched 2 new items in their premium AYCE menu. 1. Coulotte beef - from the top sirloin cap that promised melt-in-your-mouth texture 2. Matcha pudding - not a fan of matcha but might be after trying this. (too bad I can only get one :( ) I enjoyed their sukiyaki beef, lamb, intestines, salmon, shrimp, clam, king oyster mushroom and tempura udon. FYI: The Mississauga location has sushi included in their menu. If you would like to splurge, get the silver menu and you can eat wagyu all you want. I sampled some of these and I'm planning taking overtime and return for these meats! ‍From now until May 4, 2025, customers who spend $100 can get $20 coupon to spend at Shinta or Haru

Tried to head to another business nearby for dinner with 2 friends however it had a crazy long lineup on a Saturday night and ended up choosing this place. Great selection of meats, veggies and sides. Tried every single one available in the black angus AYCE menu. Every single cut of meat was delicious however the cheesy corn was kinda weird. 9/10 for food, 9.5/10 for service and ambiance. However the price for the meal was higher than expectations which was approximately 60$ per person after tax and tips. Nonetheless, I still had a great time.

So happy Shinta finally opened in Mississauga. We have heard many raving reviews about this place. My husband and I went here on a special occasion so we decided to go with the silver menu. It was definitely soooooo good. The meat melts in your mouth. Our favourite was the chef selection wagyu, we reordered that 3 times. Oh also the scallops (not pictured) and the lamb rack!!! Chefs Kiss!!! We also got the foie gras sushi (not pictured) which was really interesting. There was so much food selection, we couldn't even explore the regular menu selection. The service was very prompt. Most of the staffs were friendly; one of the waiter really went above and beyond. Too bad we forgot his name. The restaurant is quite spacious with comfortable seating. I don't think they have many tables for bigger groups though. We can't wait to come back and try their black menu to see if it would be just as good as their silver wagyu menu.

Damn, Shinta definitely gives you the same pleasant and friendly experience like their Toronto and Richmond Hill location. Now open in Mississauga, Shinta Japanese BBQ continues to bring everyone's favourite premium meats and seafood for everyone to grill and enjoy. The menus are spread across however much you would like to spend, but the quality is top-notch regardless of which option you choose from. The customer service is excellent as usual as the staff were a good combination of friendliness and attentiveness. They also provided great suggestions of their favourite meats to grill! I can't wait to be back at this location!

We recently tried the Black Angus menu, and it left us completely satisfied. With a wide variety of premium cuts including beef, pork, lamb, and chicken, we got a bit of everything. We got everything on the beef menu and loved it all. we wrap our meat in lettuce and the appetizer/ side dishes for flavour. The staff here were exceptionally friendly, which added to the positive experience. though it's not listed on the menu, the owner came up and offered ayce watermelon! they said it's available during the summer so if you stop by, be sure to ask for it. thank you for the great experience, the place is very spacious and open, which helps with the grill going on

Okay but the marbling on the meat? This is Toronto/GTAs most premium all you can eat Japanese BBQ spot. Shinta has been around for a while, but they opened in Mississauga this year They had so many high quality meat cuts with beautiful marbling, and all types of meat from beef, pork, lamb, chicken. Tons of other items too, we got their torched sushi which was surprisingly very good, bibimbap, tempura udon and beef tataki. Make sure to keep track of which is beef tataki because it definitely blends in with the other meat. They had seafood too, we got sake clams and seafood medley! Def also recommend their corn cheese too

My first time trying Japanese BBQ and boy was I impressed. The meat is the star here! I ordered their Black ayce and I was so impressed with the variety on offer. So many options including beef, poultry, pork, lamb and sushi too! The service was attentive and quick even though the restaurant was busy when we visited. We also ordered Wagyu beef platter on the side - the marbling was exquisite. Really some of the best beef ive eaten!

Shinta is a food experience best enjoyed with a group. Come here if you love bbq beef, pork, lamb & seafood with wagu beef options that can be enjoyed with mushrooms, zucchini and asparagus & more. The meat & vegetables you select can be grilled/bbq'd on the group table grill with your family/group and shared. A reservation is a must as it is a popular food experience & the hostess will only seat your group until all group members have arrived because of a two hour dining. The unlimited meat and vegetables for two hours is an excellent price for people/group who come here hungry and can take advantage of it. The service is fast and the ambiance/decor is Japanese. I'll definitely come back here with a family group as I already enjoyed it today with my family.

After hearing about this place soft opening, I knew I had to check out the new kid on the block. In terms of location, it's perfect, situated in a plaza with plenty of parking, and it's not too far away from a bus stop. However, it's not without its growing pains. I came here for dinner with my partner. I made a reservation for 6:30 for the two of us, but I was running late, and they wouldn't seat my partner without me. Luckily my reservation was honored when I showed up. Ordering our food was a quick process, since we went with the basic set. The selection of appetizers was pretty limited - things that I expected to see, like gyoza, were missing. Also when it came to beverages, the diet Coke we ordered came out in a can, so we were not sure if there were free refills. I had also hoped for a bigger selection of tea than just bagged green tea. The uncooked seafood and veggies also came out before the meats, which kind of threw off our rhythm. The quality of the meats was actually rather good, and surprisingly the salmon was my favorite. I also loved the buttered enoki mushrooms. For dessert, I had grilled pineapples and the usual melona bar. The service here was great - the servers made a great effort to explain each dish to my partner, who does not speak Chinese, and they were also proactive in offering to change the grill for us. A note to girlies that tend to get cold easily - they really crank the AC here, so bring a jacket! This wasn't the strongest soft opening, but I have high hopes for this place - especially its soft serve ice cream!

As you would expect with a nightclub, the music was loud but not so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation. The place was very busy but thinned out a little as the night went on but remained quite full. The offer a good variety of Indian food and drink options including some very creative takes on common dishes. Our group tried a wide range of appetizers. I should mention that almost all of the food we ordered was a little spicier than most upscale Indian places in the GTA. We tried pani puri which came with test tubes of different flavours of waters ranging from spicy, mango and sweet, tandoori paneer which had a nice flavourful marinade and a layer of chutney in the middle, maggi masala momos which were veg momos boiled in the maggi noodle sauce, jalapeño poppers, paneer naanza which was basically a paneer pizza with a white sauce drizzled on top, and the sweet and spicy cauliflower bites. Everyone loved the paneer and momos most. Cauliflower was good but similar to what I've had at a few other places. The jalapeño poppers were good but again fairly typical of what a lot of places serve. For the pizza, most people thought it was just okay. There was a lot of white sauce drizzled on top which drowned out most of the flavour of the other toppings. Some people in our party also ordered tandoori fish and tandoori chicken which they enjoyed. I had one criticism. There was no soap in the main floor washroom for handwashing. If I had noticed this before eating, I would have thought twice about eating there. I would have given them 5 stars. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was a one time oversight, I would give them a 4.

Another server came to replace our appetizer plates for dinner plates but seemed confused on how to do this (what?). We had to help her clear the table so she could put the plates out. Then we waited for half an hour, with no sign of food my husband went to the kitchen to find a server. Finally someone came to our table and asked us what we would like to order. We said we ordered over an hour ago. At this point the restaurant was packed. It appeared that they didn't have enough people working to have the restaurant run smoothly. 35 minutes later our mains began to trickle out. Our original server/ owner came out and said "Sorrry it's so so busy but I told you to tell me when you were ready for your mains." It was pretty sleazy because it was obvious he had set this up to be my fault. I told him "You disappeared for an hour how could I ask you?" He continued to apologize and then walk away. I didn't realize this place was in nightclub mode from 6pm. Loud music blaring from televisions which is fine, a million type of lights, a live flute player walking through the restaurant while the background music blared through the tvs. If you get overstimulated easily, this place is a nightmare for that. Some food was good, some wasn't. I don't remember because it was 6 weeks ago. I loved the seating area, we were in a booth. I don't recommend, would never go here ever again. It has so much potential but the poor service, untrained staff and little respect for their customers was the worst restaurant experience I've had in a really long time. They ruined my graduation dinner. Clearly the people who work there are Befikr and keep their diners in Fikrmand mode.

We arrived around 9:15 PM with our two young children (ages 2 and 6). What nobody informed us was that around 10 PM the restaurant transforms into a nightclub/disco, with music becoming so loud that it was genuinely uncomfortable and potentially harmful for a toddler's ears. Had someone simply mentioned this while seating us, we would have happily chosen another time or another place. That lack of communication alone was extremely disappointing. The décor is beautiful and the restaurant looks stunning. Unfortunately, that's where most of the positives end. Food Review: * Lotus Stem Kebab - Terrible. It was basically a regular kebab with a piece of lotus stem in the middle. Very uninspiring. 1/10 * Cream of Chicken Soup - Excellent. The kids absolutely loved it. 9/10 * Shroom Indulgence - Average. Just seasoned mushroom caps; nothing memorable. 5/10 * Palak Bocconcini - Easily one of the worst dishes I've had. It tasted like canned spinach and lacked freshness, flavour, and texture. 0/10 * Shahi Laal Maas - Served cold. The meat was tough, rubbery, and difficult to eat. It honestly felt like it had been sitting before being served. 1/10 * Missi Roti - Very good. * Green Chilli Laccha Paratha - Very good. * Roomali Roti - Excellent. * The Big Fat L.I.T Indian Wedding - Extremely watered down. I've had many Long Island Iced Teas, and this was among the weakest. 2/10 * The Paan Panther - Again, watered down and disappointing. 2/10 * Celestial Citrus - The best drink we ordered. Really enjoyable. * On the Cloud (Mango Lassi) - Nice presentation, but the lassi itself was slightly sour and below average. * Fresh Berry Tres Leches - Delicious and probably the highlight of the meal. The service was inconsistent. The staff who took our order were warm, polite, and welcoming. However, the staff delivering food were the complete opposite. When we politely asked if the music volume could be reduced because of our children, the response was shocking. One staff member told us, "We're all over Instagram. This is how it is. Didn't you know?" Since we could barely hear anything, we had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times. She then said something along the lines of, "That's the point--we don't want anyone to hear." The dismissive attitude, facial expressions, and arrogance were completely unnecessary and left a very poor impression. A restaurant can have great décor, but hospitality is what brings guests back. My ratings: * Food: 1/10 * Service: 3/10 * Ambience (before the nightclub music): 8/10 * Ambience (after 10 PM): 2/10 * Family-friendliness: 0/10 If you're planning to visit with young children, be aware that after 10 PM the atmosphere changes completely into a high-volume party venue. That may be enjoyable for some guests, but families deserve to be informed beforehand so they can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant family dinner turned into one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had. We won't be returning, and I cannot recommend it based on our experience.
