i started going there early February 2025. after ex rays i was told my knee pain was because of my sciatica and that after some realignment therapy the pain would improve. i was given a schedule which consisted of me coming in 3x a week for a month ,then 2x a week for a month ,then once a week for a month. unfortuately it wasnt covered by my insurance. so i had to pay 55 dollars per visit. after about two months i noticed my knee wasnt getting even a little bit better, so i went to a orthopedic and i had an MRI done. the results were i had deteriorate cartilage. nothing at all to do with my sciatica. primus gibson read more

Chiropractors seem to be given a poor wrap and often outcast as quacks in the medical field. Although the medical training does not match that of a MD, or DO it's an extensive four year DC degree after undergraduate work. Then it takes years to be experienced in the field. Dr. Lombardozzi has been in practice at Kempsville Chiropractic for decades. He is the owner of the business. My high school age son who is an athlete has seen him for almost two years when he came to him with lower back pain. He has also been seen by his associates and primarily that's been Dr. Arch. The difference in chiropractic care was remarkable. In weeks he was pain free and his performance in the pool much improved. After insurance ran out we continued on a maintenance program with the practice. I am a firm believer in chiropractic care. In the same breath not all chiropractors are created equal. Dr. Lombardozzi's practice has consistently ranked as one of HRVA best for a reason. As well Kempsville Chiropractic his business with partners is voted best at the beach. I truly enjoy going there every other week Customer service is top notch! Everyone is friendly, the chiropractors are awesome and Theresa is the best for full body massages. I had horrible back pain & intense sciatica down the left side of my body. I can now sit crisscrossed, and my lower back pain & sciatica has diminished. I discovered this place at a wellness seminar and they offered me an initial consult (a $275 value) for $25 dollars. Not having insurance this was a great opportunity especially since I realized that my back has been having a lot of issues recently. I went in and the reception staff was very welcoming. After I met with the doctor we went through the form I filled out before arriving. Following abut 20 minutes of questions I had several x-rays taken and some physical examinations. The doctor was very informative, sincerely concerned, and helped to identify the purpose of a chiropractor and the intentions of the clinic. After a brief discussion I was taken into another room by a technician which did two scans on my back, the first was a neural scan, and the second was a scan for the nerves to the muscles. All in all I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff, and the sincerity of the doctors to help treat their patients. I will definitely be back soon! read more

This is a horrible place to get any type of back adjustments. The reason I say this is because the staff said it's required for everyone (client) to get butt naked so the doctor can check your back. I've been to several chiropractics in my life time for back injuries from car accidents and not once has any one required me to unclothed my self naked. yes the doctor and the staff wanted me to take off underwear and all. Well, I got slapped with a $280.00 bill after my "consultation." No adjustment was done so I was disappointed. When I scheduled my initial appointment I asked how much it would be since my insurance doesn't cover it. The receptionist stated she did not know. How do you not know? Anyhow, I still don't know what my payment will be for an actual adjustment. The jury is still out since I'm here for my actual adjustment today. I hope my body's adjustment is better than the one my bank account was given last week! SMH. read more

I was having severe lower back pain. I called the office to schedule an appointment (thankfully I was able to be seen the next day) however, on the phone I asked if they take my insurance and if there was a consultation fee. The receptionist informed me they take "multiple insurances and the fees are calculated upon arrival." After being greeting by the friendly staff, I was taking into the room and told to undress...I was taking aback, uncomfortable extremely unaware of having to do so and "why." After speaking with the doctor, undressed vulnerable and hurting from my back pain I was told with X-rays and exams it would be $200 and I'd still walk away in pain! Needless to say I excused myself, got dressed and want somewhere else. The $200 should have been said upfront, and that they don't accept my Optima insurance (through my employer!). Waste of my time and should have been honest on the phone. read more

I left a negative review back in 2018 (11/1/2018) about this practice, as I definitely felt hoodwinked into a large number of absolutely unnecessary x-rays during my supposedly "free consultation" for a "sore neck from heavy lifting" with no trauma or injury reported. Want to reiterate that unnecessary x-rays were taken which pose a credible risk to my life. The fact that this chiropractor took at least five x-rays, full spinal from front, side and back, one in my open mouth, among others, even though there was no reason to take anything but perhaps one of the area in question (and most chiropractors would have not asked for a single x-ray for the complaint I presented with) poses untold damage to my health in the years to come, which will most likely never be able to be associated with this office visit. In 2019, precancerous cells were found in my right breast, and I had to undergo surgery to remove them. I will never know if these unnecessary x-rays were causal in these findings. Their website offers a "free consultation for new patients". The fact that my initial visit cost $280 is in clear violation of the rules and regulations that Virginia spells out, as this was definitely false and misleading advertising. The Code of Virginia prohibits misleading advertising, as follows: 18VAC85-20-30. Advertising ethics. A. Any statement specifying a fee, whether standard, discounted or free, for professional services which does not include the cost of all related procedures, services and products which, to a substantial likelihood, will be necessary for the completion of the advertised service as it would be understood by an ordinarily prudent person shall be deemed to be deceptive or misleading, or both... B. Advertising a discounted or free service, examination, or treatment and charging for any additional service, examination, or treatment which is performed as a result of and within 72 hours of the initial office visit in response to such advertisement is unprofessional conduct unless such professional services rendered are as a result of a bona fide emergency. This provision may not be waived by agreement of the patient and the practitioner. 9 C. Advertisements of discounts shall disclose the full fee that has been discounted. The practitioner shall maintain documented evidence to substantiate the discounted fees and shall make such information available to a consumer upon request. read more
