When I first walked in the doors at AFC (Sept 2024), I couldn't stand up straight due to severe lower back pain from doing yard work (my ninja skills trying to dodge a wasps' nest didn't go so well). I called a few chiropractic offices in the East Valley and my first draw to AFC was the simple fact that they have the ability to take an XRAY ON SITE - no separate appointment, no waiting. Since I had had previous back issues (15 years prior due to weakened abdominal muscles from 3 c-sections in 3-1/2 years), I knew I wanted an xray before doing any chiropractic adjustments. (TMI - xrays revealed degenerative discs and near bone-on-bone; MRI in Oct further revealed bulging/herniated discs and scoliosis (thanks, perimenopause! lol). I share this info only because I know how much fear can surround making a decision to see a chiropractor or any back pain specialists. I take comfort in knowing that I'm able to be safely adjusted at AFC!) The second draw to AFC was that they EVALUATED AND ADJUSTED me THE VERY SAME DAY! Again, no waiting. (Although I did wait a whole day in excruciating pain because I thought a few ibuprofen, ice, and rest would've done the trick - looking back, I wished I hadn't waited to call!) After my consultation and plan of action were in place by one the doctors (3 on site) and account manager, it became obvious that I had made the right choice in choosing AFC. I had never done injections before, but the PA (2 are on site) evaluated my situation, took the time to carefully review my charts, and ran a couple tests to determine my best course of shot treatments, which ended up being a series of INJECTIONS ON SITE (not steroid injections, but basically lidocaine). In addition to injections, the doctor also recommended MASSAGE THERAPY, STRETCHING/strengthening exercises, a TENS UNIT, and adjustments. Please know that the staff at AFC are incredibly kind -- they truly enjoy what they do each and every day to help their patients, whether it's scheduling appointments, going over your insurance plan, doing injections, giving extremely helpful massage therapy, or adjustments. I've seen ALL AGES in this office over the past few months - from children getting ear adjustments to help prevent ear infections, to young adults recovering after auto accidents, to middle-aged men and women (like me!) moving into the next phase of life, to the elderly getting relief from gentle adjustments using clicks. It's such a great office atmosphere to be around, especially when you can barely walk due to severe pain. I can't say enough good things about AFC! And I'm thrilled to report that I'm back in the gym and I have a plan of action to keep as healthy of a back as possible given my known conditions! I've finally gotten the chance to post another review of AFC - Gilbert. This place is top notch. I've now gone through a full year of allergy treatments and there is now only 1 thing I'm allergic to, pig weed. I don't even know what that is. After the treatments finished for my neck/back/heels, I needed more treatment for my shoulders and hips. Th curvature in my neck is gradually coming back. Highly recommend being discipled using the Posture Pump. My job is a desk job and I sit for very long periods of time, which really is awful for the body. My treatments are now every other week for chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy and for the injections to help calm the muscles & fascia. The whole staff at AFC is wonderful and I love this staff. They are very professional, personable, friendly and caring. I would like to take note of Dr. Ryan Scully, who heads up this particular location. He is willing to jump in to whatever is needed to be done, even though he is the lead chiropractor there. I've seen him not just do chiropractic adjustments, but I think I saw him taking out the trash before. For a couple weeks, they were short on physical therapists and he helped in here, too. When the lead person is willing to do whatever is needed for the business and not dictate it to those under him, that is a business I want to continue to patron. Everyone is fantastic here - Dr. Scully, Dr. Damian, Dr. Ben, Tina, Celeste, Alicia, Wanda, Amy, Nick, Jake, Natalie, Les. Dr Scully and his team are absolutely phenomenal. I came in with severe jaw and TMJ. Pain also noticed my back and side arm would hurt when I stand for long periods of time. They were very open and Ready to tackle my problems. Their service is second to none! I came in there thinking I would just get a few adjustments here and there but now I've got a whole stretch plan as well as some devices to help my achy and tight muscles. I also am working with them to fix some of my allergies, they have also provided me with certain Foods/meals/supplements to take to better my lifestyle. I was scheduled for 3 appointments. The first was a 5 star experience. The second appointment was scheduled over the phone by me for both a physical therapy session, which the doctor had recommended, and an adjustment. When I checked in for that appointment there was some confusion as I was told the office had cancelled my physical therapy session since my insurance did not cover it. I had the therapy anyway and did self-pay. The 3rd appointment was made in the office at the end of my 2nd visit. For my 3rd visit I was there when the clinic opened, was the first patient to sign in, and had my appointment set for the exact time the clinic opened. One of the staff asked me what I was there for which once again seemed that they were not expecting me. After 30 minutes, no further dialogue, and an uncrowded waiting room, I left. read more

I've been coming to AFC for about 3 weeks now and I can definitely notice a difference in my overall posture and tightness in my back. They're also doing some therapy on my shoulder which has been painful for a long time and that's starting to get better as well. I have been a patient at AFC Gilbert since June. I get chiropractic care along with physical therapy, trigger point injections and massage. I have always received excellent care. I also did allergy testing and get weekly allergy shots. I started taking my daughter in for allergy shots as well. Wanda is the staff member that administers our allergy shots. I was having a difficult time trying to schedule my daughter for those around my job and her busy high school life. I feel that Wanda went above and beyond today to help find a time that would allow my daughter to keep coming in weekly and for me to not have to miss work for it. I've been to other chiropractors throughout the years, but they were very different from this office. I wish I found AFC sooner! I'm used to going in when I feel pain, and an adjustment temporarily fixes it but never makes it permanently go away. AFC feels more like a medical or rehab practice than just getting your back cracked. My consultation included x rays, education, and they figured out a treatment plan and were upfront with the cost to complete it. I like that they develop a treatment plan with a timeline that worked within my constraints and goal of fixing the underlying issue. They use many tools that I haven't encountered in other chiropractors offices with overall health and wellness in mind. No chiropractors before had ever offered a posture pump or back brace to help me permanently adjust my posture back to a healthy spine and neck curvature. They even do allergy testing and therapy. I was referred to this chiropractors office by a personal trainer. On my first visit I had a long visit with X-rays and a longer consultation about managing pain. My next visits to be adjusted have been much shorter. The relief is almost immediate to my neck, I sleep so much better and my headaches go away. And is it weird that I feel taller after having my spine adjusted. I usually make an appointment in advance but yesterday I woke up with pain in my neck and they told me to come on in and they'd squeeze me in. I was in and out in no time. Since my last review, which I felt amazing to just be at that point. I now have full movement in my neck which I have not had in over 14 years. The ability to turn without moving my entire upper torso is the such a huge thing that I can not express my gratitude. It was not without some steps to work through but the team has kept me on track and accountable for my treatment. My days of being in pain with physical and mental exhaustion are non existent. I finally broke down and decided to go to the chiropractor because I couldn't sleep due to lower back pain. I'd only been to one chiropractor before and it was not a good experience. I didn't go back and shunned the idea after that. I found AFC at my company's health fair and decided to give them a try. I could not be more pleased with my decision. The staff at the Gilbert location are amazing! I felt like they really took the time to understand my needs and assess my condition with care and compassion. I love their holistic approach and their focus on whole body healing as a part of the process to treat my pain. What a great experience, my husband has been not sleeping for years due his chronic back pain.
