Response "they 'should' reimburse you". I call back (hsb) give my dental insurance details. Again "well (maybe?) they (delta insurance) should reimburse you". I'm swamped with work while calling. I call back later, they say a "word salad" Response if my son's future appointment will be covered. "UH, yes, ah we take insurance, uh, they should reimburse" etc. So I ask what will be the bill. They can give exact amount of what you are billed but, BUT EXPLAIN "you should get reimbursed from insurance company "delta". If you continue to question... you get the same information repeated, OVER AND OVER!!! Then you will be called "rude" because you want to know what's covered, what you have to pay. They don't care. They get sarcastic, condescending, stuff like "you want to speak to Michelle?" "You want me to call delta insurance?" of which they do neither. Then "we won't see you, blah, blah blah. They laugh at you and do NOTHING of what's been asked. Nor do they check with "delta" nor get anyone else to help. They enjoy useless word salad responses that don't help and endless "you're rude!" When they don't help. My suggestion? DON'T GO THERE!!! Save yourself useless FRUSTRATION! If you go there... merely ask "what's this going to cost?". They assume you PAY ALL UP FRONT and "insurance should reimburse". Tell them "YOU WAIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT!". or just go elsewhere for better service.

MAH Horrible experience…read more I would like to preface this by stating that I have previously had a very positive opinion of Dr. Cohrs personally. I firmly believe his bedside manner, attention to detail, and dental work are truly impeccable, and I appreciated his clinical care during my previous visits over the years. During my most recent visit though, things had changed. I was told by the hygienist, Lyndi, that a panoramic X-ray was "required by law" to maintain their license, with implied risk if refused. No such Michigan law exists--regulations cover equipment safety only, not mandating patient imaging (per LARA-Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Michigan Dental Association). My low-risk profile (excellent hygiene, no cavities in years, healthy gums, recent normal bitewings) showed no clinical need. ADA 2026 guidelines require panoramic only when necessary, to minimize radiation, not routinely. When I raised the issue feeling misled about Timberview losing their license, the hygienist called in the office manager who was beyond rude, defensive, interrupted repeatedly by obscuring and pivoting to "our standard of care," then asked my opinion of their standard. I said it felt revenue-driven rather than evidence-based. She immediately told me to leave. This was gaslighting: obscuring the obvious falsehood with vague "patient care standards" and punishing honest feedback with abrupt dismissal. Deceptive communication and unprofessional handling erode trust. Patients deserve transparency, not pressure and deflection. Unfortunately the unprofessional conduct of the office manager--particularly her repeated interruptions, twisting of the initial misleading statement, dismissive attitude, and abrupt decision to ask me to leave after I shared my honest opinion--has eroded my trust in the practice as a whole. Despite my high regard for Dr. Cohrs' skills and care, this experience will unfortunately prevent me from returning. Perhaps the business/name change to Timberview Dental has caused the business to now become profit driven over patient care driven. Be VERY careful about agreeing to unnecessary procedures that are lining their pockets.

They got me in within 2 hours of calling. The building is adorable and located in a woodsy area so that you can watch wildlife outside as you sit in the chair. They have cutting edge, mind blowing technology with their own lab that make the crowns while you wait. No need to make temporaries and return later for the permanents. I can't begin to say how impressed I was by the service! I thought the bill would be really high given how many things were done over more than 90 minutes. I got out for a tiny fraction of what I expected!!! I am thrilled to have found this practice!

I called and got an appt. within a couple days. I saw Dr. Mallory who was new to me. He looked at my bridge and my mouth. He determined my bridge was broken and could not be cemented back on. His treatment plan was almost $6,000 out of pocket. I got a second d opinion from another dentist who said the bridge was not broken and cemented it back on. There was no charge because insurance covered it. Needless to say, I have found a new dentist and will not be returning to Drake Dental.

Dr. Ellard prescribed antibiotics which didn't ultimately work. He had been following up with me personally by phone and text through that weekend (including Sunday!). As we talked, he determined that I would need an extraction and he immediately made calls to his staff members and rounded up the crew needed to do the emergency extraction the following day. A day when they were closed due to the corona virus mandatory shut down. We determined also that an implant would be the best fix for the problem in the long run and he was able to do all the other procedures needed to start that process also. (Ct scan etc.). The insurance benefits were handled and the work on my mouth got done. I can't express how lucky I felt that my dentist was able to complete all this work and create such a comprehensive plan for treatment over a weekend and during the shut down. What do other people do who's dentists can't or don't go through these measures? Mouth pain is all encompassing and hardly bearable for most! Every member of Dr Ellard's team is so knowledgeable and know exactly what to do in every instance. A well-oiled machine,always. So I was forced to cancel my appointment. I have not been able to get a dental appointment in 3 years in Kalamazoo.
