If things go wrong on a repair they won't make it right. I took my car in for AC repair. Cost me $1000. The AC is working but since they repaired it my passenger side floor is soaked, and I mean soaked each time the AC is on. They said it's just the way the condensation runs on "this car" and there's nothing they can do about it. I had this car 12 years and the AC never did this until they worked on it. It's like they say about integrity; it not what you do when things are easy that counts, it's what you do when something goes wrong to make it right. They won't make this right for me. I hit a curb and popped a tire (so I thought) unfortunately it turned out to be worse than that. They had the tire right away so that was great, and then they were able to fix my front end. The original quote was pretty high and by the time it was all over it was actually lower than what they quoted me which pretty much never happens I was pleasantly surprised by all of that. The gentleman at the shop were very funny and had me laughing pretty much the whole time when in reality I wanted to cry about my car lol. They're fast, efficient, affordable, and really great people. First time there and I'm sure to take it back. :) read more

My battery was dead and I was not able to open the hood. I had the car towed to Kendall Automotive they got the hood up and diagnosed the problem with the battery and the other issues with the car. Typical cookie cutter automotive shop. They are straight forward but one of the gentleman at the desk was giving me attitude due to the fact I bought a part that was different than what he told me to buy. I know my vehicle and I asked them to do a simple job and perform it well. Simple. They try to act like they know better and talked down to me as if I didn't understand my own car. I've got two years in vehicle maintenance in the Air Force, performed several mechanical repairs on various vehicles for over 5 years. The only reason I couldn't perform this repair was due to me not having the tools or garage to perform it. The mechanic, Timothy, that performed the repair was very thorough and actually got back with me on every thing he found. I recommend him if you are to use Kendall Automotive. Otherwise, especially if you have aftermarket parts, go to a custom shop. These guys don't deal with any aftermarket outside of their vendors. read more

We had just driven in from Kissimmee to spend the day at the beach and had stopped at 3 different gas stations to fill the tires with air but the machines were not working at all 3 locations! We were pretty aggravated by the time we got into Melbourne. We were sitting at a light and looked over and seen the auto bays so we pulled into Kendalls and asked for air, we were told to pull around to the side and someone would be right over. Within a minute, Scott came over, greeted us and filled the tires, also looked for nails and gave us some very helpful info on the condition of my tires, without trying to sell me a single thing! Thank God we stopped in, they were so friendly and we really appreciated their help! Haven't made the call yet but I'm pretty sure I'm going to head back to Kendalls for some good tires and friendly service :) read more

These guys were amazing! My car would not start after leaving a store in Melbourne. Luckily a friend recommended Kendall Automotive and they came to my rescue. They came, jumped me off, and followed me back to the shop to change out my battery. When they opened the hood they could smell a radiator leak. Brought our Jeep in for a simple oil change. Tech was honest and showed me super dirty cabin and air filter. Changed them both and got a tire rotation. After picking it up and driving home, banging sound started when pressing on brakes. Most places would deny anything was wrong but upon return and checking it out, Kendall told me my Maine car had lots of rust on the back of the wheel drum and rotating the tires made the tire not seat well. They took a grinder and cleaned it up at no charge! A few days later, I heard a loud buzzing/rattle sound when accelerating. Oh no! Another problem! I took it back to Kendall. When the tech changed the air filter he didn't screw down the wing nut on the filter cover right so it rattled when accelerating. Again, no charge AND total honesty! They took responsibility for their error. So many auto repair places would lie to you and say it was something else. Kendall came across as a place that is high volume and they don't have time to waste with nonsense to customers. It's a "get it done" attitude and "if we screw up we will take care of it". We just moved to the area and we had numerous people suggesting Kendall. I'm glad I did. read more

I have Been to Kendall Auto center twice, and found that both times they have gone above and beyond just adequate service. the staff is more than courteous. They even practically offered to drive me to the beach while I waited for my service. Not to mention they have AAA awards going out the door. I know the Kendalls have been in the space coast area for some time now and know you can't please everyone all of the time, but being in business for a long time now, I am sure there will be some customers you just can't please. I would highly recommend this service station to friends family, friends of family and to strangers for that matter. I have to agree with the other reviewer. This place is the pits. I'm here visiting my mother and my Crossfire broke down the day before I was supposed to leave. All of her friends *raved* about Kendall's amazing service, so I had AAA tow the car there after specifically asking them, "Do you work on Chrysler Crossfires?" and having them tell me, "Oh, yes! We sure do!" Four hours later, they called me and admitted that they've never worked on one and they need to send the car to a local dealership. They oh-so-graciously said they wouldn't charge me for anything they did. Gee, thanks, guys. Now I hope I don't find out that they really screwed something up on the car. Run fast and run far from this shop, if you've got a European auto. Unless you have an American made or a Honda, it's obvious they have no idea what they're doing. Had I broken down near home, I would've been able to purchase the part for less than $60 and easily do it myself. I really do not know where these other 'reviews" are coming from. I live in Vero Beach, about a 40 to 45 minute drive to the south. While up there on a terribly rainy day sometime back, I blew out my radiator. From the time it blew til they had it replaced and I was on the road again in about 2 hours - this happened on a Saturday afternoon. Because of their excellent service, I took my other vehicle to them for repairs to its power steering unit which locally I was told had to be completely replaced. Kendall diagnosed it to be a leaking hose, again, they had me on the road for about 1/3 of the locally quoted repair cost. I now take the drive still 40 to 45 minutes each way for service. Ok so it looks nice and professional but........ Today, at another station for a second opinion, we checked up on a 'noise' in our rear brakes which had been cleaned and adjusted a few weeks ago. NOT!! No grease on brake shoes and dents on brake drums. Both rear brake shoes (the lager shoes) on one side on vehicle. Wrong alternator (to low amps for battery) had been put in and just other little annoying things. Ok they are clean and appear to be helpful but you need to trust your mechanic and not have 10 different people work on your care. Brakes are a big deal! And if the as so frozen that don't even want to move, you tend to wonder what else they did that is wrong or going to go wrong because of something that is not been done right. AAA awards don't mean squat if you do not know how to work on cars. Its like the old saying, 'too many cooks'.... read more

Was highly recommended this place and so far have been very disappointed in the service! Was told my repair would be completed between 4-6pm today. Didn't receive a phone call or any update for awhile so I went to check on the repair before the shop closed at 5:30. Arrived at the shop around 5:20pm, to find the mechanic that helped me earlier locking the doors early and getting into a truck with another guy. As i and my mother in law tried to wave and get their attention, they made eye contact and nodded in our direction as they drove away. I have now called 3 times trying to figure out whats happening with my car and have been told that the mechanic has received the notification and all i can do is await his callback. We have been stranded without a car now with no contact from the shop. I'm not happy at all with the way this shop handles its business. So far very horrible customer service. Do not recommend dealing with this place! EDIT: Had to wait until the morning to hear from anyone. Was told I'd be called when they opened, after awhile I had to call myself after they had been open for over 40 mins. The main "manager" Bob was completely disrespectful to me on the phone. Completely spoke over me as I tried to explain my grievances and the horrible service I'd received thus far. He was very aggressive and non responsive to me. He basically said "it'll be done when its done" and wouldn't give me more than that. Tried talking to his manager, and he expressed that he is the highest manager there which is rather unfortunate for them since Bob has no customer service skills. Still have zero idea when my car will be done. This is the absolute worse experience I have ever had with a mechanic and will be making sure that no one I know ever uses this company again. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I took my car in for a simple wheel alignment and they told me I needed $2000 worth of work. When I drove it in there it worked fine. When I went to pick it up I had to have it towed, because I couldn't get it in gear. Run as far away from this place as you can. Go to Alternative Automotive instead. I have gone to Kendall Automotive Center 3 times. The last time was in July 2014 for an oil change & AC Check. They changed the oil...but the AC check consisted of turning a switch on the dash board. When I complained, They just charged me anyways. I called the owner & spoke to Josh Kendall; I explained that I was charged $30 and my AC WAS NEVER CHECKED. He said he would refund me..well that never happened. I again emailed the business...NO RESPONSE! NO ADJUSTMENT TO MY CREDIT CARD... Well let me start off with saying that if I could give less than one STAR I would. I agree with other customers that Kendall Employees attitude and personalities are very good but that doesn't fix the car. Four times my 2001 BMW was service there and 4 times they could not diagnose the problem correctly. After giving second, third, and finally fourth chances 2 weeks of broken promises when this job was only supposed to take a couple hours, it came to a point where I had a cut my losses and take it to the professionals the actual BMW dealership. Kendall even tried to offload the diagnostic bill on me by using there charming/respectful personalities to no avail. If the automotive community had an Academy Awards these guys will take the cake. But they are incompetent in disguise. I wouldn't trust these guys to tune-up my bicycle, let alone a vehicle. But hey don't take my word for it, if you do take your "bicycle" there just make sure they don't take the seat off; it's going to be a bumpy ride. read more

I've used Kendall for my personal as well as business vehicles for the past 10 years. Their vehicle knowledge and professionalism is excellent. They have always gone the extra mile to diagnose and fix our vehicles and we wouldn't take our cars anywhere else. If you have anything more complicated than a flat tire, you're wasting your time and money going here. I filed a dispute on my credit card immediately after they failed to fix my car for the 3rd time. I then went to Larry's Mobile Auto repair, he fixed it in 30 minutes for $30. My dispute was for $740 at this rip off joint! They replaced everything BUT the bad part. It was a horrible experience. They tried to discredit the good shop that fixed (in writing) the problem they couldn't fix during my dispute, but ultimately I won. Even if you break down right in front of their shop, tow it somewhere else, or YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!!! read more

I don't agree with the other two reviewers... I found this place to be excellent. Granted, I drive a Toyota Camry, so maybe that's why I had such a good experience. My car happened to break down on the intersection of 192 and Wickham about 5 months ago, and I was able to turn my car off and back on for long enough to drive into Kendall. I was nervous, since I didn't know what to expect with this place I'd never heard of. The staff was very friendly and reassuring. Once they diagnosed my car, they explained in full detail what the problem was and my options. I was able to pick my car up the next day and have had no complaints since! read more

Go straight to the dealer - it is cheaper. They charged me $300 more than the dealer for less maintenance. They did not replace all of the parts for my timing chain service. There was never a solid qoute, despite my request for particular parts to be replaced. Then they raised the price by $700 dollars more than what I was qouted, after the engine was taken apart (which should not have happened since I asked for ALL timing components to be replaced). Getting answers from the guy at the desk was like pulling teeth. read more
