He is the nicest, most knowledgeable, laid back sales representative I've ever dealt with. Kendall's sales process was smooth and understandable. I really appreciated all the perks I got from Kendall that will help me keep my car in top shape condition. This shop plays a lot of games. My father worked as a shop tech and knows how it works. They refused to do work on my car because I wouldn't do the full deal. I asked them to just replace the throwback bearing as it was too expensive for the rest of it. They told me it was all or nothing, which it isn't, said they would put in writing why they wouldn't do it, and did not. The price was double what was even on the Honda website. I refuse to go to places that play games. This place is slimy. read more

The repairs were done fast. But apparently if you get work done at the eugene Kendall service department you are responsible for paying for the freight cost. We my husband spoke to a service department manager and ask why we would be charged for the freight. When it wasn't our fault the service center didn't have the product in stock, she was surprised we were being charged. Well this female service manager was going to follow up with my husband and here we are today getting a call saying our car is ready and no call back from the manager. When speaking to Megan the service advisor and asked why we would be charged she said because of the weight, I stated well it isn't our fault (The customer) that the product wasn't in stock. Keep in mind we are paying over $2500 for the repairs and also the shipping cost of the part. Megan stated well we are giving you $150 off and I informed her I could use the 10% off they have online with a max of $100 being taken off and the freight cost and we would have a bigger discount. She said she would speak to the service manager and call me back, when Megan called me back she said they couldn't remove the shipping cost they always just charge for it. So in other words, they don't have to stock products which keeps their cost down, instead charge the customer for shipping and the cost of the service. I will take our services else where, that actually provides customer service and understands the customer shouldn't be held responsible for paying freight when the company didn't have it in stock. Not only did they charge us the freight, the tow truck driver was told to park the car on the Chevy side and when Honda called my husband to ask where the car was because we missed our appt, my husband informed them it was dropped off by the tow truck company. When my husband contacted the tow truck company the driver advised him of where he parked it as instructed on the Chevy side. My husband called Honda back to advise them of this, had to leave a message and was told they would call him back. When we showed up the next day and located the car on the lot they share with Chevy and then walked over to Honda to advise since a call wasn't received. The note was sitting right in front of us on Megan's. Desk. When pointed out she said oh yeah you talked to so and so and she gave me the message to call back last night. Ummm this is the next day no call back was received. I could share more, but I don't want to be known as the person who complains to complain. I just wanted to be treated like a customer you are happy to service, because my service and others to you are what keeps you in business. read more

I agree with other reviewers that Kendall does fine work in their service department. I'm frustrated, though, that they seem to have changed their policies in the last few years - they'll try to sell you every maintenance and repair under the sun, without clear distinction of what's a real priority. I feel like I can no longer trust them to just give a straight-up answer without tacking on a ton of other costly items. I won't be back. read more

This story starts over a year ago. I bought a new car from Kendall Honda in March 2013 and added an aftermarket item. After a few weeks, I decided I didn't like the item and they actually took it back while offering me a store credit! I made an appointment this morning for an oil change this afternoon - (nice to be able to get in quickly especially with the holiday looming.) They told me it would be about an hour to take care of everything. I ordered a hot dog from their Wheelin' Cafe; it was good - surprised. About 45 minutes later, I was driving away with my serviced vehicle and a free car wash ticket. Nothing out-of-pocket for me because they were true to their store credit -- (I can use it in any department - well, maybe not the Wheelin' Cafe!) I bypassed the free car wash because the line was too long and besides the weather forecast is calling for rain over the next few days. Although the service is more than I would pay elsewhere, I would go back there for one more oil change - still have some money in the "Kendall Bank." read more

Was told by a salesperson "Taylor" that my fiancé and I could come check out a car on a specific date and time and that she would hold onto it for us. We drove approximately 2 hours on said date and time and turns out she didn't show up for work that day. Even better, the keys to my dream car had just been handed off to another eager buyer. Thanks, Kendall Honda, for wasting my time and energy. I can promise you will never be earning my business. read more

I brought my Honda in for an oil change. I arrived on time and asked for their complimentary shuttle service. The shuttle service dropped me off at my destination and I was able to complete my errand. I received a call 2.5 hours later saying that my oil change was now completed and asked if I wanted to be picked up. I let the representative know that I was ready to be picked up and provided my location. The representative said the driver would be their shortly so I went outside to wait. About an hour later I received another call from the driver asking if i'd liked to be picked up. I told him that I had spoken to a representative an hour ago and she said that you were on your way. He told me he would come and get me. After 30 minutes he arrived and brought me back to the dealership. At this point I was irritated that it took 2.5 hours for an oil change, as well as the miscommunication among Honda's staff members. When I arrived, a lady handed me my status report and said everything in green was good and red I should get checked out. She brought me over to another lady. I looked at the repair estimate sheet and one of the things that needed to be fixed was a new bulb for my break light. I pointed to the service on the estimate sheet and asked her if they had time to complete this today. She said yes and I took my card out for payment. She told me to wait until the service was completed, so I did. After the service was completed, she provided me with a bill and I noticed that the bill was higher than it was supposed to be. I showed her the receipt and showed her the estimate page where it stated that a light bulb change was $5.72, not $29.34. She said it must be a computer error. I asked her if the other quotes were wrong and she stated no just this one and asked me to sign for the full amount. Overall a very disappointing experience read more

We just purchased a 2017 Honda Civic LX with very low mileage, and everything went smoothly. I can see that Kendall Honda has received mixed reviews, but our experience has been very good. We have purchased four vehicles, all Civic LXs, and all new except the last one: 2006, 2013, 2016, and the 2017. In all cases, we did our homework, and we were offered a fair price under the blue book value. Very little negotiations were necessary. In almost all cases, we were able to obtain small items - rubber mats, mud flaps, etc., for no extra cost or low cost. We always have our vehicles serviced at Kendall, and they always do a good job. I am knowledgeable, and they do not recommend unrequired service. Their work is professional, and they are not overpriced. For us, the key is to own a vehicle that looks good, drives well, gets good gas mileage, and that we can own with very little repair for about 9 - 10 years. So, the Civics from Kendall have worked out exceedingly well. read more

I have had several interactions with Kendall Honda, and I have left very pleased and satisfied after all of them. Their friendly service staff have been very prompt, professional, friendly, and considerate. Rarely have I experienced this across several of the staff at a dealership (and across Kendall dealerships, too, as I have a Toyota as well), but at Kendall I have. Their building is clean and the waiting area is very spacious and accommodating with refreshments, study cubicles as well comfy chairs and tables. The staff have never tried to pressure me on additional servicing, and in fact have twice now encouraged me not to get something done when it wasn't needed. I've come to appreciate their intentional effort to excel at customer service, and I think it makes them stand out. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Kendall Honda for the past 10 years. Every time I took my Honda Element in for maintenance they were great and didn't try to upsell me anything and even let me know ahead of repairs or services that were needed. But that all changed last week. I went in for an oil change and to replace a head light. The person waiting on me told me about something that might need repair soon, but never mentioned that the mechanic had also found that my battery failed when tested. So of course I continued to drive my car and in the next couple of days guess what happened? My battery failed!! Thank goodness I was parked in front of my bank, not somewhere stranded without cell service so I couldn't call for roadside service. I'm almost 72 years old and that could have been a disaster for me. What if I had been stranded and no cell service? What if I couldn't have walked to get help? When I called Kendall Honda the person answering the phone told me that everyone was busy and someone would soon return my call so I could come in right away to replace the battery. No one called back. I waited and waited. This had happened once before when I needed to get some immediate help from them. So I called them again and was told to come right in and they would replace the battery. I got the same person that didn't tell me about my battery failing so I told him what happened and that he should have told me about this so I could have taken care of it when I had come in for my oil change. He didn't seem that concerned and gave no apology, and instead gave some excuse that sometimes their findings are not always accurate so he didn't take this report seriously. This lack of concern about my safety has made be rethink my loyalty to Kendall. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere. read more

Showed up without an appt on our last day of travel (been on the road for two weeks) with the warning light for our tire pressure. Since we still had 300 miles to go, we wanted to make sure our tires did not have any obstructions. Derrel Dale took us right in and 20 minutes later, we were on our way. Not only did he fill our tires with the proper pressure to remove the tire pressure warning light but also had the tech put our car on the jack to fully check all of our tires for any problems. While we were waiting, he offered us a computer and coffee. We passed on both but it was nice to know that it was there. I can't not express how great the service was at this dealership. My 2012 Honda Fit was happy again. And so was my husband. :) All I can say is Derrel is the man!! read more

On 06 January, 2013 at or around 2:33pm, I used The Automatic Car Wash and Kendall Honda, which is part of the Kendall Automotive Group in Eugene OR at 846 Goodpasture Island Rd. Their phone number is 541 485 6111. Their website is www.kendallhonda.com. I was told to release the steering wheel, place the car in neutral and turn off the vehicle. I did exactly that. My car was forced into the car in front of me, causing an accident. Following the accident, I verified that the driver of the front vehicle was aware that I would advocate for the well being of her vehicle. I gave her all of my contact information. We both spoke with Dylan Gillespie. He was attending the car was at the time. He had instructed me to place my car in neutral and release control of the steering wheel prior to entering. He handled the situation well and my concern is not with him. (Thank you Dylan) I notified her that I have dealt with insurance companies and MV (Motor Vehicle) dealerships on a prior basis and made it clear that being assertive is very important. She assured me that Kendall Honda was trustworthy and would take care of her. In agreement, I had seen nothing but positive experienced from Kendall up until this point. This morning I received a call from Rudolpho Mendoza explaining that he would rather have the insurance companies figure out who was at fault. I explained in no uncertain terms that both cars were in complete control of the car wash. Neither driver was at fault. I now have a claim on my insurance!!!! Stay away from this company, and avoid trusting your car care to them. read more

I recently went to kendall Honda to lease a car with my mother a co-signer. I went through a seperation and had no vehicle and because my credit was bad my mother suggested and offered to co-sign. I went there on my own to kind of look around and the salesman was disinterested in helping. He had me come inside to kind of discuss everything and he barely gave me the time of day. He sat there, hardly listening, looking around at everyone else but me. While I talked he was looking all around at nothing. I left and came back with my mother and he seemed real "happy" we were there to get the deal started. We went over all the paperwork and everything but near the end of the deal he said that it couldn't be done...that she couldn't co-sign...even though she previously purchased 2 cars from them and has a credit score in the 800's. I asked him about financing and he said it probably can't be done. He didn't even try! He said the only way was to have HER do a lease and I just drive the car. Of course that wasn't going to work for me. I called up another dealership and they said that something he said or suggested was illegal and he checked things out and said that they could finance me...in fact a credit union gave me financing at a great rate. So...I can't get financing at one kendall dealership but I can at another? Kendall Hondas lack of interest in even helping, giving me the time of day or even wanting to have a sale baffled me. They were just flat out rude and I would recommend any car buyers to go somewhere else. I learned quickly that just because they are one of the biggest dealerships here doesn't mean that they have good customer service or want to help. read more

We bought a car 1/13/16 it's a 2016 honda civic there has been issues with the audio system.... as of today 3/3/16 our car has been at Kendall Honda 4 times with total of 22 days... It has been a pain to deal with some of them... I figured that maybe because of not being able to drive our car we bought for 25k that good customer service for the inconvenience I asked if maybe they could tint our car windows for us... we made our payments but didn't have it.. I talked with NESTOR TORRES Service manager ( not a nice person) pretty much said that not his issue and if he did it for us he would have to do it for everyone else so no... Customer courtesy sucks.. I don't think I was asking for anything that would bankrupt Kendall Auto Group.... So I talked with a sales manager JEREMIAH BAKER after I found out it could be taken back as a lemon law... All I asked him was after its fixed if this 4th time at their services it was fixed if they could do the tint job on our car for going through everything.. He "said no" and Kendall has no money to do that for us"":: I cannot believe that an auto group as big as Kendall auto group couldn't do something nice for a customer that had to come back 4 times for service and went 22 days without their vehicle.... I would never buy anything from Kendall again... this is our 3rd car from Kendall in 4 years... Wow, what a way to have you come back to buy another one I will be passing this story on to everyone.... Jeremiah and Nestor are very unlikable boys... read more
