My truck with 31k miles on it popped a check engine light. I took it in and mentioned the VIN matched the engine coolant valve issue, and the fan was running after I turned the truck off. My service rep Johnny Tigue said he had no idea what I was referring to and said he would "look into it". Low and behold the code P1098 had shown. They told me nothing is wrong and I just need an update. He then tried to charge me $205 for the service update. after some back and forth he went ahead and "did me a favor" by dismissing the charge. No mention of the valve code. I filed a complaint with corporate and sending in a report to the NHTSA. I guess I'll have to find an another GMC dealer to handle the issue. What a shady way to conduct business. read more

should have done my homework before I bought my 2024 Chevrolet Colorado here... there is an issue with the backup camera and camera program not working. the best the dealership can do is temporarily reset the program but they won't fix it. they say GMC is looking into a fix but now I find they knew about this problem over a year ago (reviews on Reddit over a year old) and didn't tell us about it. I bought the truck 10 months ago, it only has 1,400 miles on it, been back twice for a program reset and with no fix they have made it our problem now. Buyer beware, do not buy a vehicle at this dealership without doing your homework first! read more

I was a first time buyer and my salesman were Nick and Ryan. These guys were super helpful and very friendly, as a first time buyer I was nervous about the whole process and often had to have everything be explained to me multiple times and they were very polite and good at helping me understand the whole process from picking cars to filling out paperwork I have never done before! Nick even picked me up multiple times out of the way from the dealership at my house because I didn't have any transportation to and from the dealership! My car needed service and Jessica from service center was the best! I needed roadside assistance and she sent a truck right away! She was very communicative with me everyday even if it was the smallest thing like we are still working on your car! **Review of Chevy Blazer EV - 2 Stars** I purchased a Chevy Blazer EV on 9/21/2024, and while I want to commend the team at Kendall Chevrolet for their helpfulness during the sale and the nice service department, my experience with the vehicle itself has been very disappointing. The problems started almost immediately. I had to take the car in because the charging port door broke, and there's a persistent rattle coming from the passenger back tire. While the service team was polite, the general manager offered little in the way of real solutions. The most frustrating part? Chevy doesn't manufacture the replacement part, and they couldn't provide a timetable for when I might get it. Now, I'm stuck driving a gas rental while my brand new EV is sitting in the shop, and I have no idea when it'll be fixed. This is not what I expected from a new car, especially one that's marketed as a cutting-edge electric vehicle. If you're considering buying a Chevy Blazer EV, think twice. If something goes wrong, you're left without options and a lot of uncertainty. Definitely not the experience I hoped for. read more

I brought my 2018 Chevy Colorado Work truck in for a transmission service, and new gear shifter through my Max Care plan. I also had a leak in my differential, but I needed to bring my truck back because they did not have the gasket in stock. They did the work, ordered the part we needed, and after I got home and noticed my bumper was smashed in. I know it wasn't like that when I arrived because I took a photo and sent it to my partner to let him know we arrived and we're waiting to get service done. Nobody said anything about hitting my bumper to me. I called and I spoke to Samantha, the service manager. She listened to me and very cordially told me to bring it to the collision center and they would order the part and get it taken care of. I brought my truck to the collision center after getting my differential serviced. Luis was awesome. He got my information, assured me he would order the part and get it taken care of. He called me to let me know when my bumper arrived. It took about two weeks of trying to schedule to bring the truck in because my partner is a student and a musician, so we had a lot going on. We were also trying really hard to get a loaner vehicle. I was told we could get a loaner car, and Luis kept trying, but Samantha never returned either mine, nor his phone calls. Needless to say, we found a spot in our collective schedules that worked and I brought in the truck to get the work done after my partner got out of school. This was on a Tuesday at 1 pm. I was assured by Luis that my truck would be completed by Friday morning. We'll, there was no communication, so I assumed (bad idea) that everything was on schedule. I called and was told that no, the truck was in fact NOT done yet. But Scott told me that it should be done by that afternoon. Luis was my normal point of contact, but he was on vacation. I was told they would call me when it was completed. Fast forward two hours, and I called again. Was told the same thing, that it would be done before the end of the day - 5:30 PM. It was almost 4. No communication. I had to keep calling. It was 5 PM. No call, so I called again. No answer. I called the main dealership. They said they would check. They called and we're told it would be done before close. I asked to speak to Samantha. She was already gone for the day. We tried, AGAIN, to see about getting a loaner. We needed our truck because we had a business meeting on Saturday, and my partner had surgery scheduled for Monday morning. No return call, and we were basically stuck with no way to get around, loss of business, had to reschedule surgery, and had no food for us or our cat in sweltering heat. We weren't going to walk in this heat for food. Fast forward to Monday morning. Kendall Collison opens at 7:30 Am, but we received NO CALL. We called at 8:30 AM to check on our truck. Was told they were finishing it up. Luis asked if we still had our loaner, but we never got one because NOBODY CALLED US BACK. He arranged for a shuttle to come pick us up. We got to the collision center in Eugene, and saw the bumper. It was on. There was garbage left in the back of our truck. Boxes, wrappers, etc. The inside of the truck was dusty and dirty. The windows were dirty. When we went to leave, our backup camera wasn't working. We had to tell the guy at the counter that it wasn't functioning. He went to go get a technician. They brought the truck back to the shop and got the camera working. No apologies. No paperwork. No assurance if anything else was wrong that they would take care of it. Once we got home we inspected our bumper. It was not snapped into place properly. The plastic pieces were not aligned with the metal pieces, there were at least 4 bolts missing completely. If we had gotten hit, this bumper would have failed completely. We called and spoke to Luis. He seemed apologetic, but also apathetic. Like there was nothing he could do. We asked him to look for and get us our missing bolts. We have yet to hear from him. We are taking our truck to the body shop who put in our bumper after being rear-ended two years ago. They are going to fix it for free to maintain the safety feature of our bumper, and so we can pull our travel trailer. It is not safe to do so in the condition Kendall left it in. I will never bring my truck to Kendall ever again! No only did THEY cause the damage to our truck, but they didn't even own up to it to begin with, the experience of getting it fixed, the lack of communication, the lack of professionalism, and leaving our truck dirty and full of boxes afterwards, has left a bad taste in our mouths. Very poor business practices. Making people wait for service for damage you caused to begin with is highly unprofessional and makes you look shady. We also have had ZERO follow-up since yesterday. No call back at all from the service manager or the collision department We do NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. NOT for mechanical service or for body work. read more

My truck was broken into when it was there for nearly a month for repair. A mess was left and personal items stolen that can never be replaced. No damage to my truck- was it an employee or did they leave it unlocked? No one knows because they don't follow up. read more

Okay guys, what's going on? I have always left outstanding reviews for Kendall, from the sales department to the services. Both have always been awesome! What's recently gone on that's switched it up? Blaming short staffing is not sufficient for me, everybody has this issue! Don't take on more than you can is my best recommendation but I digress. My situation ended up with me needing to bring my vehicle in as the check engine light was on. I made the appointment maybe a week prior and by the time my appointment came, the engine light was off but I was having some steering assist issues. So I continued to bring my vehicle for service. They graciously allowed me to drop the vehicle off the night before to avoid having to drop it off early the next morning with my newborn. They no longer do loaner vehicles (I keep hearing "because of covid"). I get slightly annoyed when some businesses like rental car companies are able to sanitize their vehicles, don't blame covid because you aren't doing loaner vehicles. Just be honest and if it's due to financials or it's not cost effective, then say it. Be honest. My vehicle got dropped off and Dylan said he would contact me during the day of service (the appointment day). He contacted me in the morning to clear up warranty work then told me he would let me know later in the day the status of my vehicle. I explained to him it was important that I know because I have a newborn and would need to arrange a car rental depending on their diagnosis. He assured me he would contact me before the day concluded. At about 4:30pm, no phone call. I called and left a voicemail. At about 5:30pm, still no call and I knew they were closing soon. I worried because it was a Friday and I believe they were closed on Saturdays (found out later this was not true). So I called again and discuss the matter with Kevin. Kevin apologized for the lack of communication and informed me they could not replicate the issue with my car. Kevin offered a Lyft to get me to my vehicle and pick it up if I wanted to. Kevin was helpful and I ended up picking up my vehicle that night. This is what shook me..... the next morning after I've picked up my car, I get a call from Dylan who explained they were keeping my car until Monday. Yoooooo Dylan, my car isn't there anymore.... How do you call when the car is gone and simply not know where the vehicles you are servicing are? I don't know what's changed but the old school staff at this location know their stuff, the new crew has made this place tank. read more

That's the kind of resolution she/they promised me after they had my car for 6 months and cost me $55k in lost wages and expenses. I even left a message for the GM to call me back and I have yet to hear back from him as well. I have bought 3 different vehicles from Kendall dealerships (2 from Kendall Chevrolet & 1 from the budget lot) and this is how they wanna treat me?! I will never buy another vehicle from a Kendall lot. If they don't have my car fixed by the 1st, which is when they last said it'll be fixed by, they'll be hearing from my attorney! I wasn't going to post but it's honestly just unprofessional to the point I had to say something. I came with the intent to buy this GMC thinking it would be the 49k listed in the picture below (this price was listed before it went to detailing/shop) only to find out after it came back from the shop (was not detailed) for them to bump it up to 52k because it needed some work. Then was proceeded to be told that they bought the car for 50k. If this is true why would you post it for less than you bought it for?Then was told I was getting a deal when they stated they'd give it to me for $49,990 (a $95 discount). It was the dishonestly that lost me. I am a woman, but I'm well educated and to be treated as if I know nothing was quite odd. If you cannot stand behind the price you initially posted it for, do not post the car at all or better yet just put "call for pricing." Textbook bait and switch experience. I wasn't initially impressed with this dealership and their service department, but they seem to have improved in recent times. I've had my fair share of both good and bad experiences in here, but lately it's been all good. Which is why they get 5 stars versus my original draft being only 2. When I go in, I deal with Tracy typically, or Rose the service manager. My mom likes Ray. I try to steer clear of an older guy named Donovan, or I believe he goes by Don as well. I find him condescending. But he's my only complaint there. I could spend a couple paragraphs on why I don't like him, but that takes away from the overall business. As far as customer service, Tracy is the best. I bring my mother's car in here constantly it seems. It's probably not that often, but it seems like it at times. My brother makes the decisions for mom on what repairs need to happen and prices. I simply show up to drop off and pick up the car. So Tracy has double the work, calling one person for approval and another about when it'll be done. I'm sure this is annoying for him, but he deals with us without complaint. They have a shuttle service to take you home and pick you back up if it's needed, which I use frequently. They also are willing to deliver my mom's car to her if it's late in the afternoon when it's finished and she's at work. This isn't a service they normally provide, but she literally works across the pond from them. I can drive a golf ball across the water from one business to the other, and she's old and it simply makes life easier sometimes. So they make the exception. This would be a big reason they get 5 stars and are memorable. Their willingness to go above and beyond to help their customer. I've brought it in and had them double check things I've been told were problems (read my ugly review of Firestone for examples) and they've always done it, even without an appointment or being when they're busy. I'm sure they have bigger and better things to deal with, but they never treat it like that. I've never had any interest/experience in their sales department, so I have no opinion on that portion of this dealership, just the service department. We buy all of our cars exclusively at a dealership in Salem. Based on the service center, I am impressed these days by their customer service, the attention to details, and how they take care of their customers. I would definitely return. read more

I bought a chevy Silverado 2018 2 weeks ago and the transmission has something wrong with it. It's Jerky shifting and strange power loss. When googled the first thing that comes up for this truck is transmission issues. They say 3 people have driven it and it is not doing anything unusual. So it only does it for me? Really, am I supposed to believe that? Feel like I got sold a lemon and they are unwilling to fix the problem. Andrew Coy and Tyler Richardson are amazing. Without them and Kendall I would never think about owning a GM again. I originally bought a vehicle from a different dealer that turned out to be a lemon. Things happen, but the other dealer was trying to screw me over and could care less about me as a customer. I was 100% sure after my experience with that other dealer that I was trading in my Suburban and never buying a GM product ever again because of how I was treated. Out of desperation I call Tyler one day to see if Kendall could help. Tyler was responsive, professional and amazing to say the least. Tyler worked tirelessly with GM through getting rid of the lemon. Something he had no reason to do but did because it was what he believed was right. Andrew also helped us through ordering a new vehicle. Andrew called us every week and kept us up to date on the order. Andrew was always available and responsive. They also knew we had had a long drive to get to the dealership plus we still needed to drive back - we were in and out of the dealership in less than 15 minutes. I've had mixed experiences with sales. Went there in 2013 to buy a Camero SS, but no one seemed interested in working with me on one or test driving, so I went to another dealership and purchased a Mustang GT. In 2018, I had a slightly better experience, but was sort of turned away when I started asking about the C7s...Then, after an online inquiry, I ended working with a salesperson that was very accommodating, informational, and patient and I ended up purchasing a 2019 C7 Grand Sport. The service department has been very friendly, accommodating, and exceptional, until recently. Still friendly and accommodating, but charged me for my first oil change and declined to repair/warranty a manufacturers defect. It's known that GM covers the first 2 oil changes on Corvettes and it's listed on the window sticker as part of the purchase...The defect is a reflector on the rear bumper that seems to be unclipped and half falls out on occasion. As far as I know, it has been like that from purchase. They told me that the warranty didn't cover trim pieces, but could wrap some tape on the clip, shove it in, and see if it holds...Tape to hold a piece of a new car together??? When I got home, I read the warranty and it said trim isn't covered under warranty, except for defects...I would say this is a defect, as the issue was unprovoked...Also, DO NOT GET the paint protection package. I was told that it would cover rock chips "and even sun spots," but when I asked about having a small chip repaired, I was told that it's not covered...the paint protection package is just a spray on coating, which I didn't care for. It was all over the trim, which I had to clean off, and gave an overly glossy, globular orange peel look that real took away from the original look of the car...This review would have been 4-5 stars, if it wasn't for these recent issues and would have been 2, if it wasn't for the rest of the service and sales experience... Also, be sure to really look at the window sticker and know what the listed options are. I thought I was getting a decent deal when I made an offer based on the window sticker, but it turned out that there were options listed that my car didn't have, so I really paid full price or more. My sticker listed a Front Splitter and side Rocker Extensions. My salesperson noticed it several months later and informed me. I made an appointment for those along with some other services, but when I picked up the car, they had not been installed... read more

Drove the car and loved it for the 500 miles I had it. Then it bricked. Brought it in and this was best they could do to help $8500. It is literally only a few months out of warranty. I bought the car for 10k to help my family with rising gas prices guess I failed my family. They are the only ones in the area that are certified to work on it and they won't install a refurbished junk yard battery that has 2 year warranty due to liability. What liability? I said I would sign any form they provide to make them feel comfortable. I am not impressed with Kendall at all they are only concerned about profit and have no compassion. read more

He couldnt've cared less if we bought or not, and he was very polite and helpful. We weren't expecting to buy that day, but we had such an easy feeling about the whole situation that we sailed through the buying process in about 1.5 hours. A few weeks after we got our used Tacoma home, we noticed the jack and the tool kit for the spare were missing. Set up an appointment for an oil change at 9:15am. Upon checking in I was greeted by James and he was very friendly and prompt. I also explained an issue with my door button, that it often gets stuck and I can not open my vehicle door. I asked if they washed the cars here after the oil change as this was my first time at the Eugene location. I was told I had the choice of a hand wash or a voucher for the drive through wash. I chose the hand wash and then James offered a courtesy ride if I needed. The oil change and wash was fairly quick. Paying was simple, and they arranged for me to come back another day to fix the button on the door. The hand wash was bad, streaks everywhere, places that were not even wiped or cleaned so next time I will choose the voucher for the drive through car wash. But it felt good getting into a clean vehicle with a fresh oil change. And I liked how fast the service was. I knocked off a star because scheduling an appointment was terrible. It took 7 different calls, being placed on hold long periods of time, transferred to wrong departments. Fortunately lucky number 7 call I was transferred to the appropriate person to schedule the appointment. read more

Horribly misdiagnosed for $115! Took my car in for check engine light. They told me #5 cylinder was misfiring and would cost 2,400 to fix or get a whole remanufactured engine for 7k. Told them I would pick it up next day, went in and they "lost" my car. So left and an hour later they called to say they found it. Also that my battery was completely dead and need charged because a light had been left on. Took it to another shop and they said it was just the spark plugs needing to be replaced and now my car runs perfectly! Will never go back and will be telling friends and family. read more

Stopped in to check out a new Chevy Silverado 3500HD. Once the sales guy was able to finally locate the keys to look inside, we found McDonald's garbage in the console & the trucks exterior was fithly. On our way off the lot a used 2017 Ford F350 caught our attention as we've been trying to decide between the two. We test drove the Ford and loved everything about it. Its a big purchase though & we wanted to sleep on it. I sent an inquiry about the truck today & the price has gone up almost $3,000 from what we were quoted!! Dicking people around isn't good business practice and especially not at $60+k price tag. Clean up your lot and get your facts in order. People shouldn't have their time wasted! read more

I took my car for an oil change and a parts recall evaluation. That is all I ever mentioned to be done on my car. The check-in person listed tire rotation as one of the things to be done. I told her, as I have said several times to them, that someone else deals with all my tire issues. Do NOT rotate my tires. She said they would not rotate my tires. But they did rotate my tires. If I had not had enough evidence of their incompetence to double check, I would have taken my car to the folks who maintain my tires, they would have rotated them, right on schedule, and I would have, effectively, unrotated tires. read more

I took my truck in for an oil change last week. I was advised that my Chevy Tahoe needed a front end alignment, and that my back brakes needed new pads. The quoted price was over $500 for both services. I thought the price seemed a little high, so I called around and decided to have the work done at a local, reputable ASE certified shop (thanks Yelp!). After inspection, the new shop informed me that my alignment was within Chevy's tolerances (no need for alignment), and my rear pads had about 50% life left!! In the end, they advised me to simply have may rear brakes inspected again when I get the truck serviced at its next oil change... which I will do, at their shop. read more

I could see the dirt mark were the cord for battery tester brushed up against my car. I don't even band wash car, I use touchless, that is how paranoid I am.
