I hate to slam small business but these guys are really bad and shady. Took my classic car to them. They claimed they could replace the window in my convertible top. Gave me estimate etc. This is the horrendous shady job they did. Pics say it all. Look for yourself below. Cheap shoddy work with cheap plastic, glue, tape, off center snaps in various spots that ripped through the top after a week. Car is getting water/moisture inside. Just HORRIBLE. Really bad. Contacted them. Was basically told go away. Currently filing lawsuit. Don't give these guys anything of value and avoid at all costs. read more

Took my aging Tundra to Keneth Upholstery (San Marcos, CA) for repair of the driver's seat. As is typical for an old truck, the fabric was ripped and worn out, exposing disintegrating foam and metal seat structure. Knowing that the seat material was no longer available (NLA) I did not have high expectations of a match. Keneth Upholstery EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. The material used was a near perfect match. The Toyota stitch pattern was matched exactly. Damaged / broken foam was all repaired or replaced. Plus multiple springs were replaced. AND my truck was ready for pick-up just FOUR HOURS AFTER DROP-OFF. All I can say is they did a great job for me and the price was VERY reasonable. I will be a loyal customer due to my experience. So my BF and I have a set of antique upholstered chairs that are probably 80 years-old. We use them daily and have kinda been waiting for them to give out. One finally did so we did a Google search for furniture repair near me and came up with Keneth Upholstery. We called, he answered after just a few rings and he asked that we send him a photo of the damage to ensure he could repair it. He agreed and said to bring it in that same day between appointments he already had scheduled so we did and he gave us a price of $100 which we felt was fair and easily less expensive than trying to replace the antique chairs. He called less than two days later to say it was fixed. Upon pick up, he very thoroughly explained his repairs process including the two metal brackets he installed for reinforcement. We can be difficult to impress because we've had less than great experiences with the usual "go to" places in Escondido and we honestly didn't think the chair would be repairable but Keneth Upholstry managed to impress us big time! We only wish we had known of them sooner. Great response times, fair prices and quality work. I was very happy with my experience with Keneth Upholstery. I had a very basic ask, I needed 2 square foam replacements for couch cushions and 3 replacement couch zig zag springs. I was going to do all the work myself I just needed the material. I called around and was originally going to go with a "family owned and run" upholstery company in Oceanside. Here is how my experience went with the Oceanside company: I got a quote and picked out the foam type I wanted. They were going to order the foam from their vendor and cut it. It was a bit pricey but similar to other companies I talked to, over $200, but I figured that's the cost of doing business. I agreed to all of this on a Friday. Fast forward to the next Tuesday afternoon and I still hadnt heard from the company. I called and asked what the status was and I was told "haven't heard from the vendor but it will be this week". The next Friday, 7 days from my initial quote, I still haven't heard back from the company. I call and I'm told "nope haven't heard from the vendor .... .... .... But we'll call them to find out" After hanging up I decided to take my business elsewhere. Below is my experience with Keneth Upholstery: After hanging up with the family business I find the reviews for Keneth Upholstery. I call and the phone is picked up quickly. I explain what I'm looking for and give some rough measurements. Ivan gives me an estimate and says he has the couch springs in as well. He says he has 2 pieces of foam that he can cut for me today (Friday) if I can make it over. I couldn't make it to his shop on Friday but he did say he would be willing to meet me Saturday and cut the foam. I called him on Saturday to confirm he'd be there, drove to the shop with 1 cushion in hand just to make sure the dimensions were right. 10 min later I have 2 new cushions and the couch springs for less than $100. TL;DR give Keneth Upholstery a call if you have any upholstery needs. He's up front, honest and responsive. And two weeks later still no word from the other business following up on my original quote. read more
