One of my favorite sushi spots around here. Started the outing with a couple vodka sodas. As for sushi, we ordered the angel roll, a spicy tuna roll and the one with the eggs inside. We sat outside, it was beautiful out. Breezy and sunny. Can't beat a lunch like that. They forgot the soy sauce and our last roll but it wasn't a big deal at all. Oh! Almost forgot, ordered some seaweed salad, too. Wicked good. Will continue to dine here.

Food was alright, there were a lot of options on the menu and the prices were not bad at all. Service was friendly and quick, but i just did not like how when i asked for a drink i was brought a small cup with mostly ice, and they charged for a refill! Overall it's a cool place.

gyoza sorry i ate like 1-2 before the pic LOL

Been here several times now and its always been a nice experience :) they do not have a parking lot and it is street parking! the place is also small so beware for when its busy, I dont recall ever waiting long though. I'm always wicked full when I go here and service was solid.

I don't know if I can even describe how bad my experience was here. 1. My boyfriend and I ordered 3 sushi rolls to share and the waitress brought the wrong rolls. We ate 2 of them anyway- they were ehhh. 2. I ordered the green tea mochi ice cream- I have had mochi at several other sushi restaurants in MA and RI and LOVE IT. I was so disappointed! Not only do they only give you 2 pieces of mochi, it was extremely freezer burnt, and tasted like I was eating a cardboard green tea box SO BAD! 3. There was very drunk man in the bar area who had obviously been over served (like 6 too many mai tais) and was yelling and arguing with the bartender about his bill and the bartender and staff were yelling and arguing with him making it worse. Very unprofessional and unpleasant for all us other customers. I would NOT go back here.

This a hole in the wall sushi restaurant & bar. Very small fast paced environment for adults. Not child friendly. Great sushi, appetizers & Asian dishes. Vegetarian & pescatarian friendly. NOT VEGAN friendly. 4 stars because the sushi prices do not match the quality or size of the sushi. The sushi did taste well & it was fresh. I ordered vegetable fried rice, steamed shumai & spicy tuna maki. The rice was not what I expected visually & flavor wise, but it was good. The steamed shumai seemed to be prepped for frying due to the thick wrapping, but besides that the flavor was decent. The spicy tuna Maki was very small, but good. My boyfriend ordered dumpling soup, which he enjoyed. He also ordered Kenichi's Spicy Chicken, which is his favorite due to the crunchiness. It came with white rice. Good experience. I would go again for a quick bite or decent food & drinks with friends.

I always have a great experience there. My favorite place ever to eat sushi in Worcester. The ambient is amazing (inside or outside) and the stuff super friendly. Always a 5 stars for me

This new sushi restaurant is surprisingly good and good for your wallet too. Maki roll around $10 and the $40 love boat for 2 is differently worth it. I think the price is cheaper than a few other place in Worcester. We'll sure to come back when we are in town. This place is jam packed at dinner time on Sat. So come early and prepare to wait a little. It has a full bar with TV for the games as well.

Favorite appetizer: deep fried baby octopus! (There's literally a whole baby octopus in there. Super worth it, trust me! I also had the deep fried crab appetizer and it was pretty good, but I wouldn't get it again. Nothing negative to say about service, great as always!

Once they announce it, you need to call immediately or get shut out. My observation about the place itself. The U shaped bar is gigantic for the space. It's a bar-bar too not like a sushi counter. This seems to draw a crowd of local drinkers rather than the normal sushi crowd. You feel like you walked into a sports bar. The place was really loud and it was hard to hear the chef explaining everything. Once seated... it's the chefs carving the tuna off to the side. There were 2 bar tenders making drinks and like 3 chefs cutting tuna.... other than that, no waitstaff. Which is really odd. You have to grab the manager who was running around helping to get your Wasabi refilled. Not to mention they gave zero place settings for about 8 of us, until we asked. The bar tenders seemed to pass over my empty drink until I asked for a refill too. It's a more chaotic event than I would have liked for $120 per person. It also takes time to carve the tuna so if you arrive hungry be prepared to not get your first tiny bite until 45 minutes after the start. The star was Chef Timmy. Honestly he was awesome. The tuna.... so good. You end to with only 3 pieces of Nigiri which was a little disappointing but the sashimi part was unlimited. Of course you have to take your plate up and ask for some. They only put about 6 small pieces of the various cuts per trip. I think I went up 5 times for sashimi alone. The tuna handrolls you can make yourself or ask the chef nicely. Those were really good. Probably best I ever had because it's so fresh. There is a limited amount of the highly prized (and highly priced) Kamatoro, but you can experience it here as it's included in the experience. That's a hard cut to find. The finale was a shot of tuna spinal fluid. My first time with that but it's not bad. You're probably looking at $150 per person unless you order alcohol than it's alot more. The fresh cut tuna is amazing. I'm glad I did it. The chaos and the setting made it less than ideal. I don't think I would go again to this location for it. One and done. It's a bit weird that you're paying $120 for this and you're still intermingled with local patrons just there to grab some beers after work and watch the game. Because of the massive bar it is impossible to create a space secluded to do it. They also should have a roaming waiter at least taking care of the 30 people who came for this experience.

Sawa had a decent Yelp rating (and was essentially the only place we could walk to), so we decided to give it a try. It has a large bar, traditional table seating and Hibachi steakhouse style seating, it's a fairly large place. It also projects a traditional Japanese Steakhouse vibe. Since we were dining at an off time, there was only one other patron in view. They have an expansive Asian menu and we ordered: Salmon Dinner - 5pcs of salmon sushi & spicy salmon roll (with salad) Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Scallion Pancake Gyoza -Japanese pan fried pork dumpling 2 Green Tea Total with Tip: $78 How expansive is the menu? If you search for Salmon on their online menu, you get 47 hits! Service was good, then again we were essentially on our own. The Salmon was good, not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Fried Rice was also tasty, but very salty. The Scallion Pancakes were crispy and nicely cooked, we really liked these. And the Gyoza was very tasty, but should have been crisper. Overall, a very enjoyable "Linner" and a 4-star dining experience. I would return here if in the area.

We placed an order online and the order took about a half hour for about 5 rolls. Wish it was a bit faster but the restaurant seemed pretty busy. We spent close to $50 on that last order and the crab Rangoons were unfortunately missing when we came home. Bit disappointed on that. Main reason for dropping of stars was I felt the quality of the sushi wasn't as good as our last visit. Both rolls just didn't have a ton of flavor. It didn't taste as fresh as our last visit. Flavor wasn't terrible but it was just... okay. Not sure what happened--maybe it was an off day or the quality suffered a bit. But hopefully they can improve the sushi rolls. Also from my last review they had a promotion of a discount online but my discount wasn't honored online--no big deal. But after a text promotion my crab Rangoons weren't honored either? Thumbs down. If folks do really enjoy this place and get reeled in on online promotions, definitely make sure they honor it. I was aware of it but just didn't want to deal with it. Cheers.
